Plas Cadnant Estate

The retreat will take place at Plas Cadnant in Wales, UK. A stylish, secluded country house on the Isle of Anglesey, nestled in 21 acres of private parkland, which gathers together for your pleasure; stunning views over Snowdon, a meandering river, magical waterfalls, world-renowned historic gardens, lazy meadows, mature woodland, and an oak-framed building perfect for your yoga sessions. Described as “one of the most amazing retreats on the Isle of Anglesey," it is the most peaceful haven away from busy life on the mainland.

The Coach House

The Coach House is the largest property on the Plas Cadnant estate, accommodating up to 11 guests on two spacious floors with an impressive upstairs dining/sitting room with a large wood-burning stove.

By night, candles, incense, and log fires create the perfect atmosphere for complete relaxation. Its wonderfully comfortable beds, crisp white linen on deep-down duvets, fresh flowers, views over rolling parkland, and piping hot power showers all make up the luxury and style of your weekend at this stunning country house.

Gardens

Time and time again, guests say how spectacular the gardens are, and they know you will be blown away by their beauty. Over the past 25 years, they have undergone a spectacular transformation and have been lovingly restored to their former glory.

Winter finds the carpets of snowdrops, then Daffodils bloom in spring, scented sweet peas climb in the summer sun, and in autumn, the vibrant red leaves hang silently on the trees glowing in the morning light. In whichever season you choose to visit, the gardens are forever offering tranquil spaces to just be.

The yoga space

Stroll through the walled garden and majestic wooden gates to the oak-framed building. With its lovingly handcrafted oak beams, high ceilings, and underfloor heating, it makes the ideal space for yoga and meditation practice. Bask in the rising sunlight during morning yoga and then enjoy settling down into candlelit relaxations in the evening.

With the peace and tranquility of the surrounding parkland, it is your sanctuary from the outside world. All yoga equipment is provided, from mats to blocks and cushions to straps, so all you need to do is turn up.

Food

The food on this retreat will have a raw and detoxing element to it, predominately plant-based with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. Meals will be light yet satisfying, avoiding gluten, dairy, wheat, and sugar where possible. The emphasis is on taking the pressure off your digestive system and resetting it. Caffeine will be discouraged on this retreat. You will leave feeling cleansed and refreshed.

The Zest Life offers beautiful yogi herbal teas for you to choose from over the course of the retreat, and with three full meals a day, fresh juice, and healthy treats in the afternoon, you are sure to feel nourished.

There will be plenty of time to indulge in a body treatment or two with one of the superb in-house therapists. How to get there

Driving directions from A55 Expressway Mainland

  • Cross over the Britannia Bridge and take the first slip road, immediately after crossing the bridge.
  • Turn right at T junction (A4080) taking you back under the expressway towards Menai Bridge and Beaumaris.
  • At the roundabout, go straight across (second exit) and downhill into the center of Menai Bridge.
  • Turn left at the main road towards Beaumaris (A545) through Menai Bridge town until you see a new road bridge ahead.
  • Turn left at the lay-by (with white lines on it) just before the bridge and Plas Cadnant Estate entrance is 50 meters on the left. The sat nav will take you to this point.
  • When you arrive at Plas Cadnant, make your way up the long leafy drive always bearing left to the central graveled courtyard.
  • The Coach House is the first big house on the left. There is plenty of parking.

Arrival by airplane

Manchester International airport is the nearest airport, with a car journey time of 2 hours to the venue.

Arrival by train

The nearest station is Bangor with direct train links to London, taking just three hours from London Euston. Plas Cadnant is situated a short five-minute taxi ride from the station. Recommended train times:

  • Leaving London Euston [EUS] Friday at 1:10 p.m., arriving in Bangor [BNG] at 4:48 p.m.
  • Leaving Bangor [BNG] Monday 12:00 p.m., arriving London Euston [EUS] 3:39 p.m.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 25% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 28 days before arrival.
