Do you love yoga and want to take it to the next level? Have you done a teacher training already but aren't ready to teach yet? This training program will give you the most essential skills necessary to step into a classroom upon graduation and confidently teach both Yin and Yang (Vinyasa) yoga practices. Dive into the magic of yoga, delight in anatomy nuts and bolts, explore and revel in the rich history of yoga philosophy, and grow your teaching presence.
The maximum participants in the group is 20.
For this teacher training program, The Yogarden offers options of simple fan rooms or air-conditioned rooms. Both are very comfortable with private bathrooms and hot water. Each room has a television and mini fridge, and is set on the quiet back street of Fisherman's Village with easy access to everything.
This 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified teacher training program is specifically designed to help you realize your key motivations for teaching, establish your teaching voice, give you the anatomical and sequencing knowledge you need to build excellent classes, and empower you to teach both Vinyasa and Yin styles of yoga. This teacher training foundation course is a 20-day, full-time intensive training program during which you will get weekly support to maximize your outcomes.
Dhugal will lead and support the entire group through the challenge of becoming confident in your own potential, while embodying the knowledge that is most important and having practical experiences with the essential skills. The class will be held daily from Monday to Saturday, starting from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with two breaks for brunch and dinner. Sunday will be the day to rest and the time for excursions and fun stuff.
At least one year of regular practice is recommended but if you've never taught before, don't worry. This course is designed to be your first experience in becoming a yoga teacher. You will need dedication, motivation, and self-directed studentship of yoga and the path of teaching. It is also preferable that you be injury-free. A willingness to participate fully in group processes and the ability to give and receive feedback skillfully are also needed.
The Yogarden Samui teacher training programs and teachers are internationally accredited, have exclusive recognition, and qualify for the 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification. Yoga Alliance is an international governing board for yoga teachers and training programs in the United States and globally.
Graduates of this program are automatically eligible to register as an RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) with Yoga Alliance. Becoming an RYT means having a higher profile and gaining international recognition as a yoga teacher, attributes that many hiring studios look for.
Upon successful completion, 100 percent attendance, and following the code of conduct, students will receive a certificate of completion from Tribe Academy for this teacher training program.
Students undergoing this program must be fully committed and understand that 100 percent full-attendance is required. They must also be willing to forgo most other personal or professional commitments for the duration of the program - only with 100 percent attendance and completion of the course will students receive a certificate and no make-up work will be given. Should there be any problems with this, students must speak with the faculty prior to the course and only under very special circumstances will it be considered.
