Join The Yoga Place Ohio at Camp Asbury in rural Ohio for their annual retreat. They have done over 30 yoga retreats here with a different special program every time. This year Jim Gelcer will be our special guest artist. They will have live music and yoga with Mike Curtis guiding the yoga and Jim playing guitar, and then an evening kirtan concert on Saturday. Jim is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer. Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, now based in Toronto, Canada, Jim has recorded and performed around the world with diverse artists. His style has been called “welcoming, inviting, and contagious,” and blends together traditional Sanskrit chants with R&B, jazz, and rock. Our activities include gentle and restorative yoga, hiking, music, meditation and more. This is retreat style, and less like a workshop. The retreat is designed to help us slow down and align with nature. Themes are Quietude, Exploration, Observation and Acceptance.
The accommodations for this retreat are in a simple and shared lodge, allowing you to truly connect with the nature around you. Mattresses will be provided, however it is bring-your-own-bedding. There will be 3 persons per room.
