You will be staying at the eXtreme Hotel, located on Kite Beach, Cabarete, the north coast of the Dominican Republic. The hotel is focused on keeping their facilities as eco-friendly, sustainable, and self-sufficient as possible. The ventilation system at the hotel is designed to use the wind as a natural cooling element instead of high energy consuming air conditioning.
Tiled floors keep the heat down and low energy fans keep the air from getting stale. Lots of green vegetation also helps to reduce the heat during the hottest months. As an eco-friendly hotel, they do not offer a lot of extras, instead, they offer environmentally conscious, comfortable rooms where you can feel restful and relaxed in, knowing you are leaving a minimal carbon footprint!
Staying at the eXtreme Hotel is thus a relaxing and healthy experience. They try to keep the rat race of the outside world at bay and in doing so they do not offer televisions or cable and encourage the guests to spend their time soaking up the sun and participating in energy infused nature and health and fitness orientated activities. Think of your stay as a ‘digital detox’.
However they do understand how important it is to stay in contact with people back home, or to get digital work done while on vacation, so they offer two free Wi-Fi access points for the hotel, ensuring you can be online when needed. Their restaurant also has its own separate Wi-Fi. You can choose between a double or a single room for your stay during the retreat.
The rooms are large and airy with a 52-inch ceiling fan, 100 percent solar powered, and come with a mini fridge, safe, screens against mosquitos, private bathroom, balcony, and a five-gallon jug of drinking water. They are functional rooms for active people. The ground floor is cooler, private, and has better beach access for kitesurfers. The upstairs rooms have a partial ocean view and a view of the trapeze. The front rooms have a view of the ocean.
This amazing yoga retreat incorporates partner balancing, stretching, and body weight training under the guidance of a dynamic instructor duo will teach you everything you need to know to take your partner workouts to the next level. You won't believe how much stronger and more flexible you will get in just a week of training with them. If you have never tried Acro yoga before you will learn all the basics that you need to feel grounded and confident.
You will progress along with your instructors during the week who will keep the practice as much fun and challenging while staying safe, at the same time. Add on an amazing experience like a flying trapeze class (yes, they have got one), a kiteboarding or surf lesson as you find yourself getting tanned, fit, and blissed soaking the Caribbean sun.
This half day experience will teach you about aquaponics and sustainable agriculture, as well as get you into the local culture of rural Dominican Republic. The Taino organic farm grows a variety of fruit, vegetables, and superfoods which you can taste fresh off the trees during your tour.
After the farm tour, be ready to head down to the beautiful Yasica river, for a river tubing experience. The cooling fresh waters will be your guide as you float peacefully downstream for one to two hours. Adventurists are invited to scramble up a jungle side cliff and jump from an overhanging tree into the crystal waters below. Afterward, you will enjoy a lunch prepared from fresh organic produce.

He has taught at events such as Divine Play, Acro Love, and Lucidity.
Dana Arnolds, like so many others, has fallen in love with Acro Yoga. Acro yoga has left her feeling stronger both physically and mentally than any other exercise she has ever practiced. Expanding on her seven-year yoga practice and high school cheerleading experience, Dana discovered acro as the perfect combination of strength and partner trust. You can find her biking to yoga, experimenting with new flavors in the kitchen, gardening, or working on various creative projects. Her close friends call her sprout, because of her love for sprouting seeds and constantly wanting grow and flourish!
