The Yoga Kula, led by Jane and Sarah Lawrence, offers yoga retreats, workshops, yoga therapy, as well as group, private, and corporate classes.

Sarah Clare Lawrence

Formerly a registered nurse, Sarah changed the direction of her career and her health in 2013 when she was trained as a yoga teacher in Hong Kong. Sarah has used yoga and meditation to transform her physical and mental well-being, recovering from a lower back injury and major depressive disorder. Sarah strives to inspire others to empower themselves and to transform their lives. Sarah is an advocate for self-love and the personal journey of healing the mind and body.

Jane Lawrence

Jane began practicing yoga in 2013 to help ease the long-standing lower back pain. As a former dancer, Jane was extremely flexible to use the yoga postures to build muscular strength and improve postural alignment. Jane was trained to be a yoga teacher in 2015 in Thailand. After falling in love with teaching yoga, Jane went on to qualify for Thai yoga massage in 2017. Jane is inspired to see her students taking on new challenges and watch their progress. She loves to see how the yoga practice positively affects their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Although I've tried yoga in the past I have NEVER experienced it like I now do with The Yoga Kula. I attended one of their classes in November 2016 following recommendations from friends and was so scared about going mainly due to feeling too old and too overweight to be practising yoga. How wrong was I! I'm now 8 months in and have mastered postures I never thought I could because of the patience and the confidence Jane & Sarah have taught me to have with myself. I have a long way to go on my yoga journey but there could be no finer travelling companions to have than Sarah & Jane.

To Sarah & Jane,

We sit here reflecting the weekend that we have experienced, not with sadness that we have to leave but with excitement.

Excitement for the new adventures that we will begin when we go home. We leave with a clearer head because we "let that shit go" and with an open heart to share with each other. You've made us awaken our fears and address them through not only Yoga but through our minds and souls.

We've been reminded again that Dan and I are soulmates. So thank you again for being our first Yoga Retreat... never to forget. The bar is set high!
