Early (very early for most of us) morning arrival in Iceland. Then, transfer to Reykjavik (approximately one hour) and drop bags off at the hotel. After the arrival, rejuvenate with a full breakfast (with coffee!) and take a few moments to relax. Later, head out for a walking foodie tour of Reykjavik. Get your bearings and a gastronomical tour of this eaty-eclectic country.
After the tour, you can play in downtown or stroll back and check in to your room. After evening de-plane and welcome yoga class, you full your belly with a group welcome dinner.
Enjoy morning yoga and group buffet breakfast before heading out. Today, you will head out to visit the homes of the elves, Vikings (only kinda kidding), and the stunning Reykjanes Peninsula, which will include:
After a day of exploring, you will head over for a soak in the warm-zen-goodness of the Blue Lagoon. Here, you will have a few hours to relax in the waters and chill. The entrance includes: a pre-treatment in-water silica mud mask, a drink of your choice from the swim-up bar in the lagoon, and a skin smoothing-tightening-glowing-all-around-awesome in-water algae mask.
After the tour, head back for an evening yoga class and dinner on your own tonight.
Up early today for breakfast and packing for the Iceland nature adventure. Today, you will head out of town to cover half-ish of the Golden Circle and secret-surprise stops in the process where you will experience several activities as follows:
Later, arriving in the late afternoon / early evening near the base of the Hekla volcano and you will check in and roll out your mats for yoga. The dinner for tonight is in a room with floor to ceiling views of Hekla and the stars. In this your first night out in nature, you will enjoy a fantastic time to watch for the northern lights (November - April only). You can also jump in the Viking pool on-property for some natural spring warmth while you light spy.
In this day, your morning yoga class will take place in Hekla’s beauty from the practice space. After the practice, fill up with breakfast and get ready for a day of a natural exploration. In the winter, your days will change as your more adventurous spots are weather-permitting. Any season, on the other hand, you will head to the black sand beach and crazy nature-cut rock formations on the coast. You will build in enough time at your exclusive location to allow time with the Icelandic horses that roam the property for those who would like to ride.
Later, head in for early evening yoga and dinner. Your second night in nature will, hopefully, bring your second night of light sightings (during the light season).
Enjoy early morning yoga and breakfast at the hotel. Later, pack up and say goodbye to the south as you will head back to the humming Reykjavik. On your drive back, you will hit up the remaining half of the Golden Circle, hit up to Kerid crater, wow at Faxi waterfall, visiting the ‘good troll’ burial site at Haukadalur, Vígðalaug historical site (Icelandic ‘Holy Pool’), and other sneaky spots.
When you arrive, rock back into Reykjavik in time for evening yoga. After the sessions, you can trip into town for some city-vibes and dinner.
