Yoga Retreats (2)
Kate is a 200hr registered yoga teacher from the UK trained in hatha, vinyasa and yoga therapy. She has been practising yoga for 7 years. Kate spent much of 2018 abroad, teaching yoga in surf camps and eco lodges in Sri Lanka and Central America. Kate’s classes are usually a vinyasa-flow style focused on a specific theme or working up to a particular pose, with an emphasis on how the poses make you feel, rather than how they look. Kate has a caring and compassionate approach to teaching and believes that yoga can and should be for everybody.

The chalet itself is remarkable - a beautiful restoration of an old alpine farmhouse. The food is sublime - so well balanced and with the quality of any top restaurant.
Pre-arrival the team were very helpful in organising activities for the middle of the day. I went on one of the self-guided walks to the beautiful ‘Bout du Monde’ and I even went parapenting! I really enjoyed the morning yoga session which filled me with energy for the activities during the day.
The yoga itself is in the lovely Barn which again has been restored so beautifully. Kate is a wonderful instructor who was very sensitive to the individual requirements of the group.

"My favourite yoga retreat!"
This yoga retreat is simply stunning - the best I have ever been on. I was only able to travel for a short stay but had the most amazing time. The classes themselves are excellent - they are in a beautifully converted old alpine barn and Kate our instructor was great - very sensitive to our personal requirements and just generally a very good teacher. I really enjoyed the afternoon class that was in the garden when the weather was very hot even in September.
Samoens town and surrounding area is beautiful. I did the fabulous Bout du Monde self-guided walk that Ferme St Christophe put on at an additional cost (25 minute drive from the chalet) during the middle of the day. I also enjoyed exploring Samoens town which has a lovely medieval centre.
Ferme St Christophe the property is really stunning. I was told that it recently underwent a 4 year renovation and you can tell - the bedrooms are large and the communal spaces are immaculately kept. There is a very large garden with different sections and because we were so lucky with the weather our group really took advantage of this space. And the sauna and hot tub!
I was looked after by Alice our charming host and Matt our chef who is extremely talented. I was emailed in advance about any dietary requirements which was lucky as I am allergic to shellfish so Matt prepared my own main course which was delicious. They are a lovely couple who really know how to make you feel special during your stay. I will be back!

"on ne peut pas appeler ce séjour stage de yoga..."
J'ai beaucoup aimé le chalet, ma chambre ( sauf si j'avais du la partager comme prévu dans le prix). La nourriture était divine. Sunny est un super chef, bravo
