The Sanctuary is a space to learn, to share, to dance, to sing, to explore your inner self, to integrate unintegrated emotions, to feel joy and to help you to heal yourself from disease. The Sanctuary is not a hotel or a hostel, rather it is like a large family house in which you can support each other in your healing processes. The Sanctuary is housed in a luxurious colonial style five-bedroom house set within a walled garden in a peaceful neighborhood.

The Sanctuary offers a choice of private or shared rooms. Despite their own unique energy, the rooms offer proper personal space, comfort, tranquility, and inspiration.

The mandala master suite

The mandala master suite is the most luxurious room at The Sanctuary. It has a queen bed, its own luxury bathroom, with bathtub and shower as well as a large private balcony looking over the garden. Facing east, it has that vibrant light from the morning sun as well as the evening freshness when it's time to relax. Large windows and fans help this to be the coolest room in the house.

The love casita

The love casita has its own shaded rooftop space to relax, read a book, or watch the sunset. Located in the garden, within the walls of The Sanctuary, the love casita offers a more private space than the rooms in the main house. It has a queen bed and its own separate entrance gate, and it can also be accessed through the garden.

Nirvana room

The nirvana room is sometimes used as a shared room and sometimes as a private room. It does not have its own bathroom, but shares the upstairs bathroom with the guests in the ascension and healing room. It has one queen size bed and a bunk bed so can be used for up to four people.

Ascension room

  • The ascension room is a shared room which you reach after walking up the stairway. It has a total of four beds, one single bunk bed, and three single beds.

Healing room

  • The healing room is a private room. It has a queen bed, and it shares the bathroom with the nirvana and ascension room.

Peace room

The peace room is a semi-private room separated in two using a room divider for massage sessions. This is another shared room which is located downstairs just inside the front door. The layout is exactly the same as the ascension room and it contains another queen bed and one single bed.

Puerto Escondido, in the estate of Oaxaca, combines the most exciting elements of the Mexican Pacific Ocean. Its mountains roll down towards the sea to bathe in the deep blue waters creating a fascinating landscape. You will find restaurants, bars, galleries and music festivals.

  • 1 x 1 hour healing session of your choice (massage, breathwork, sound therapy, etc)
  • 5 food nutrition learning sessions (video, audio, and live)
  • 6 nights accommodation
  • Daily asana yoga classes
  • Daily juices and smoothies
  • Evening gatherings sharing sacred song, meditation and heart circle
  • Inner alchemy workshops for releasing blocked emotions and awakening energies that empower your nature.
  • Meditations and heart circles
  • Nutritious raw vegan meals that provide the energy that you need
  • Personal guidance to reach your life goals

Pete Adams

Pete first started learning about natural ways of healing during a yoga teacher training course at Agama Yoga in Thailand in 2008. The following year when a friend was diagnosed with cancer, he started researching about natural health and has not stopped since. While traveling through the US to Mexico in his RV, Pete shared with everyone who would listen about what he had been learning. In San Francisco he interviewed Bill Henderson, author of Cancer Free and then continued his journey into Mexico where he met with shamans and experimented with plant medicines.

In May 2012, having previously successfully tried MMS, he completed a training course to learn the correct use of MMS and became a Minister of Health for the Genesis II Church of Health and Healing.

In October 2012, Pete opened The Sanctuary in Puerto Escondido, as a supportive space to continue his spiritual growth and an outlet to share what he has learned and continue to integrate into his life. Since then he has had the opportunity to attend many trainings in modalities such as reflexology, raw food preparation, Thai massage, the art of ascension, and many more.

  • Review by a traveler from Los Angeles. USA

"Staying at The Sanctuary changed my life. I thought I was only in for some health juices and learning a little yoga and meditation on the beach, but instead I had the chance to become a part of a community working together in learning and teaching. I've never felt so good physically as I did during my two week stay at The Sanctuary, thanks to the breathing work, the yoga, and the healthy diet. I thought I would never survive without meat or cheese, but instead it was actually really easy! Everyone that was staying there was very supportive, and I couldn't have had such a great experience without the staff and crew. Thank you so much! "

"I'm very thankful and happy that Pete hosted me and made me part of his awesome project, even though I only stayed for 2 days and 1 night, I enjoyed myself there. Being part of the morning meditation was very special and the couple of times that I got to talk to Pete were very helpful for me as I saw my reflex in him. Blessings and all the best to you and The Sanctuary."

  • Review by a traveler from Mexico

"The Sanctuary is a healing place in Puerto Escondido, Mexico. It is a place where people share different ways to try to achieve a harmony between body, mind and spirit. Lots of things happened since I arrived: challenges, laughter, tears, thousands of emotions, incredible food, amazing workshops, beautiful people, thousands of learnings and of course, the beauty of mother nature. Each second is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with ourselves, the others and the Oneness. Here, we try to do our best to build a healing community and share with the people interested. You have meditation, yoga, dance, chanting, retreats, rituals, fasting, and so many others possibilities. Everything and everyone is really interconnected, so if you feel the calling in your heart, please take the time to come to this beautiful place surrounded by incredible beaches and to try to heal yourself while you heal the world at the same time."
