The 50-hour immersion and teacher training on the magical island of Bali will cultivate your knowledge and understanding of children’s yoga, social-emotional learning and creating resilient youth.

The Peaceful Warriors include all to offer you the best of age-appropriate yoga and mindfulness for children and teens and provide you with comprehensive content that supports you on your journey with yoga on the yoga mat or classroom environment.

You will explore the world of traditional yoga ethics and philosophy, basic anatomy and physiology, mindfulness and meditation for children, classroom management, childhood development, group and partner poses and an opportunity to teach a hands-on children yoga class.

As you delve deeper into yourself as a yoga and mindfulness teacher for kids and teens, your own yoga practice and inner child exploration will continue to deepen.

During this training you will have a couple of specialty teachers joining the team and sharing their knowledge about; music therapy and self love to improve mental health.

On the last day of the training, you will visit MTC and Sunrise School, where you will get to use your new set of skills for a hands-on experience teaching yoga and mindfulness to children.

By undertaking this 50-hour immersion and teacher training into yoga and mindfulness for children and teens you will have knowledge of the following areas:

  • Building your yoga toolkit
  • Strategies for teaching yoga and mindfulness to children (ADHD considerations)
  • Breathe: 8 breathwork practices for energy modulation and calming (energizing and calming breaths)
  • Postures: 10 chair-based yoga postures and over 20 safe yoga-based movements to develop an improved sense of control (grounding, strengthening, balancing), stretch tight muscles and strengthen weak muscles in the classroom and on the yoga mat. Learn a basic sun salutation to teach to children and teens.
  • Focus: 5 single-pointed focus activities to build focus and attention (gratitude and affirmation)
  • Rest: 9 practices to calm the nervous system (guided visualization, progressive muscle relaxation, massage)
  • You, me, and us: discussion points and practices to increase mindfulness of oneself and others
  • Partner poses, mandala and games to teach cooperation.
  • Basic anatomy and physiology of the skeletal system, nervous system, endocrine system, respiratory system, and digestive system.

You will have a scheduled evening program once during the training

You will start the training at 9:00 am on the first day and finish at 4:00 pm on the last day.

Please note: This program is created in a way that executes various teaching strategies. The organizer intertwines common core Montessori methods (self-directed activity, hands-on learning and collaborative play) as well as small group instruction.

Avi Basuki

Having trained with Rainbow Kids Yoga and Calm Classrooms, as well as studying with various advanced teachers from the traditional tantric yoga lineage, shamanism and the magic world of sound healing, Avi will bring the unique use of music and sound into this heartfelt training.

Lola Malaika

Lola is a dedicated Yoga practitioner, researcher, educator, self-love mentor, Buddhist Meditation teacher, and Movement/Play therapist. Initially trained as a dancer and choreographer, she later extended her education in Dance/Movement Therapy, Yogic Philosophy, Buddhist Psychology, Positive Psychology, Play Therapy, and Meditation. Her training and work experience come from India, Japan, Vietnam, Czech Republic, Spain, Indonesia, Germany, and Greece.

Lola’s work synthesizes intuitive movement, gentle touch, soothing breath work, and joyful play. Her classes and workshops are an invitation for an intimate exploration of the self, and an opportunity to cultivate self-love, compassion, connection, courage, somatic confidence, awareness and authentic self-expression.

She is the author of three books ( 1. Atma-Prema Yoga: 13 Essential Practices For Awakening Self-Love, 2. Practice Happiness: A Handbook For Busy People, 3. Self-Love Workbook) and a contributing writer for The Chopra Center.

Lola currently resides in Canggu (Bali, Indonesia) with her husband and two lovely cats, Kali and Santosha.

The Peaceful Warriors believe that there is a powerful experience that is much needed to begin a revolution in the way transform the lives of children and teens.

In collaboration with yoga for Kids Bali and MTC BALI, a non-profit organization created to enhance the daily lives of children and families affected by physical and mental disabilities, they are offering a 7 day, 50-hour immersion and teacher training into yoga and mindfulness for children and teens.

The mission is to help kids thrive in the world regardless of circumstances, and navigate the many challenges they face with a sense of personal power and self-awareness, therefore Yoga for Kids Bali and The Peaceful Warriors will be donating a shared 15 percent from the training profits to MTC (Matahari Terbit Center).

Included excursions

On the last day of the training, you will visit MTC and Sunrise School, where you will get to use your new set of skills and practice teaching yoga and mindfulness to kids and teens. Transport to and from the school is provided.

The training is taking place at Serenity Eco Guesthouse ll at Satya Shala. Serenity is located in the heart of Canggu, set in the harmonious surroundings of Canggu and only a five-minute stroll away from the beach, Serenity Eco Guesthouse offers a tranquil retreat for everyone.
