There are two types of room available in The Pavana Chiang Mai Resort for the yoga holiday retreat.
Pool deluxe room (50 sqm) comes with a king size bed or two single beds with spacious private balcony overlooking the gardens and free-form swimming pool. The room offers you a Lanna contemporary style décor coupled with an array of modern comforts including complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access, flat-screen LED TV and direct dial telephone. The pool deluxe rooms on the ground floor have direct access to swimming pool.
A romantic two-stories villa (90 sqm) offering one bedroom with a king size bed, en-suite bathroom plus a separate restroom, living room, dining area and pantry. Relax and enjoy your stay in the sunshine filled private balcony and beautiful lawn area overlooking a spectacular panoramic mountain view and swimming pool.

You can meditate, begin or improve a yoga practice, eat healthy food all day, get massage or sauna sessions, walk into the hills, float in the pools, enjoy the views and get in touch with the Thai culture.
Originally from America, Gaelen has been living in Southeast Asia for the past 5 years and practicing and teaching yoga for 16 years. As a former professional dancer and critically acclaimed choreographer, she brings to her yoga teaching a wealth of kinesthetic experience and physical training including Body Mind Centering, Alexander Technique, Skinner Release Technique, Thai Yoga Massage and more. Gaelen’s unique yoga teaching style also combines aspects of Vini yoga, Vinyasa yoga and Iyengar yoga, and her thoughtfully choreographed classes focus on body awareness, and emphasize the flow of breath as a tool to bring us into a state of dynamic presence.
Gaelen’s classes are designed to strengthen and revitalize the physical body, quiet and focus the mind and rejuvenate the spirit. As a teacher she is known for her calm clarity, supportive encouragement and graceful practice. Gaelen inspires students to challenge themselves in a mindful way. She believes that the essence of yoga is not the pose, but the state within the pose; encouraging students to let go of the reactionary mind and open up to present moment without judgment. Through a greater understanding of the connection of body, breath and mind, she hopes to inspire students to experience the transformative power of yoga.
Gaelen has extensive experience teaching beginner through advanced classes, private yoga classes and retreats. She is on the yoga teaching staff at The Pavana Resort, Chiang Mai, and she teaches as part of the faculty at the Jungle Yoga Ashram Yoga Teacher Training program on Koh Pangnan. Gaelen is an E-RYT 200 (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) through Yoga Alliance. She has received triple teacher certification from Samadhi Yoga in Seattle, Sivananda Yoga in India, and Jungle Yoga in Koh Phangnan, Thailand.

Please book your flight to arrive at Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX). Transfer from and to the airport is included. The organizer will pick you up from the airport.
"Well built and well maintained resort outside Chiang Mai Town. Has good facilities for Yoga meditation and a nice swimming pool. Food was good at the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice landscape and garden."

"I spent nine days at the resort (called Pavana) on a fasting and detox programme. The programme is very well supported by the welcoming and excellent staff, who explain everything and keep the schedule moving along. The experience was a lot easier than I expected and I've come out of it feeling amazing. The accommodations are excellent, much nicer than I expected, and the setting is lovely. The gardens are particularly nice and the buildings are in a charming Lanna style. Highly recommended!"

"I did the detox fasting program at the resort in February and loved it. The grounds are very well looked after, the rooms are clean and the additional activities the resort offers are great. It is a lovely place to get away from the city life and be close to nature. If this is not what you are looking for then you would be better off staying in Chiang Mai town. All resort staff are super helpful and flexible. Also yoga class with Neil was a treat. I also loved the free meditation classes with Frans every morning and went hiking and did a Mind Science class with him. On my last night we had the campfire and lanterns night which was magical! As I was on the detox program I did not try many dishes but the raw food dishes I did try were delicious. The Spa is great and a much needed addition to the detox program or if you simply want to pumper yourself. As for the Detox fasting program - Dr Tony is great and very clear with his instructions however you need to see him in person to understand what the program involves. I found written information a bit confusing and in need of improvement. Would love to come back again next year!"
