The Lotus Pad Ibiza invites you to experience the magic and quiet of Ibiza whilst she is in recovery and rebirth in the winter months. It truly is a special place to be. Enough time to rest, renew and revive with yoga, walking, massage and great food.
The accommodation is set in a traditional Finca or a caravan in the heart of the Ibiza countryside. All rooms are shared with either 2 or 3 beds and all bathrooms are shared also. Sometimes you can get the room to yourself at the less busy times and for an added fee. The rooms are clean, simple, and comfortable.
Wendy Buttery is a certified 650-hour Yoga Alliance. She previously trained in Australia and then furthered her training in the United Kingdom and India. Wendy has been teaching for 10 years and is a senior yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance UK. She has set classes in the United Kingdom and in retreat centres all over the world. A combination of yoga styles and a balance between action in Vinyasa yoga and inaction with strong meditation practices brings a great connection to the inner self.
The Lotus Pad is situated in the north of Ibiza, in a Finca surrounded by fields and farmland. It offers a peaceful environment near a village called San Lorenzo, with great walks around to local cafes, and with beautiful gardens to relax in, should you wish to simply chill out. It is located in a central location and only a short drive to beaches, towns, and markets.
Your breakfasts and dinners are included in the price. All of the food is locally sourced as much as possible, and healthy and nutritious without being tasteless. The Lotus Pad Ibiza tries to offer alternatives to people who have serious food allergies, and those with less serious food intolerances, you will find that there is plenty of choices.
Lunches are not included in the price. The Lotus Pad Ibiza is sure you will want to travel around to explore the wonderful array of restaurants and cafes on Ibiza. It really can be to suit all tastes. The following are a few restaurants within walking distance, or a short drive of The Lotus Pad.
Another great find is around the corner and just off the road. This restaurant makes what is rumored to be the best tomato salad on the island plus a range of other grilled offerings. It is only 30 minutes walk.
Neil refers to this place as the "center of the universe" as it really is a meeting point for many people in the north of Ibiza. More of a short drive towards San Juan here you will find a restaurant which serves an apparently famous paella amongst many other reasonably priced meals, and a supermarket to pick up anything you might need for the day. It is only 10 minutes drive.
Probably the closest restaurant to the retreat center, only 15 minutes walk. Run by an Argentinian man with the friendliest vibe and some reasonably priced sandwiches, coffee and cakes etc. They will make you very welcome and its an interesting spot to watch the world whizz by on the road in front. Open until around 7 p.m.
A very local family restaurant with a range of meat, fish and local dishes all at reasonable prices. Just up the road. Walking maybe takes 25 minutes.
This caf / restaurant is in the village of San Lorenzo and has some of the best food around. The sandwiches, coffees and cakes are fabulous and on offer in the day time. The evening meals are a little more formal but still a great range.
A little further down the road, this restaurant has been serving local people for decades and more recently tourists have come from far and wide to sample the rustic atmosphere and food and to take a look at the interesting clientele. Walking takes 30 minutes.
In the village of San Juan, it is worth the trip to taste their mostly organic "slow" food. Pizzas, salads and cakes are mostly on the menu, but its worth the drive for their amazing chai. The journey time is 15 minutes by driving.
An hour massage with Jeanette is included in the price.

In the summer months, flights are pretty reasonable to Ibiza. Many airlines offer great bargains if you book early. The easiest way to get here is by plane to Ibiza Airport (IBZ). Once you are here, you will either be hiring a car to get here or getting a taxi here and then using local buses, bicycles or your feet to explore the surrounding areas.
Whatever way you get here, Lotus Pad Ibiza will send you a direction sheet before you arrive to make it clear for you or your driver. Do not ask for the Lotus Pad as they will not know it, but the directions will get you here easily and safely.
You can also get ferries across from Barcelona and Valencia. Arriving at the port of Ibiza at dawn is a stunning way to greet the island.
