"Love House of Yoga"

Elena and Fillippo are darling people and Mariana took such good care of us. Really loved everything about the House of Yoga - warm, wonderful friendship in a great spot for exploration. Don't miss the private cooking class with Poncho, and the Top Bike tour of the Appian Way. And don't miss Elena's essential oil class and specialized treatments - wonderful!

"Amazing time at the house of yoga"

We found at the house of yoga a very friendly and warm soul that had patience with us in terms of yoga, meditation and she tried to fulfill any require that we had. We loved the area where the house is placed, very calm and relaxing. Also, we had very good food provided by the host, extra activities like walks through wild places, bike ride around Rome. We enjoyed to learn about essential oils and how to use them to heal yourself.

We are looking forward to go back again and to learn more about yoga, healing and mind from our dedicated teacher Elena.

We are really grateful that we met her.

"Relaxing and energizing stay!"

I very much enjoyed my stay at Elena's house and family. During my stay I was the only yoga vacationer, which was great because I received private yoga lessons and I spend nice quality time with Elena. Elena is a very warm welcoming person. She took me with her to bike tours, essential oil therapy and introduced me to some of her friends. We also had nice conversations about yoga, buddhism, self development and other things in live.

Her son was also sweet and I enjoyed spending time with her three dogs in the garden.

The meals that were served were mostly whole food plant based and delicious!

"Very delicate yoga experience"

Elena is amazing person, very kind, gentle, positive and joyful, I really enjoyed my stay. The location is outside of Rome, but well connected to the city by regular trains. The food is simple and good. The host attitude is very warm and friendly, she really did her best to make sure that all needs of her guests are met. Elena is teaching shivananda yoga, which to be honest, looks more like some primitive fitness class for senior people - haha, I was so naive, the next days my muscles were burning!!)))) A lot of attention to pranayama, various breathing and relaxation techniques, and just after one week I feel like that rusted Tin Woodman, who finally got some oil on his joints)))

I had full room and bathroom for my sole use, which was really nice. The house feels very authentic and - let me say this - very Italian, featuring many pieces of art, some being over thousand years old (no kidding!). Little boy Filippo is very lovely and social, there are also a couple of Jack Russels and a huge shepherd dog Myrtilla, she was very cute and licking my hands all the time.

To those planning the retreat at House of Yoga - make sure you include bike tour on the ancient Appian way and a trip to Citta di Sutri, as well as lake Bracciano, all these picturesque places will totally blow your mind!

from Saudi Arabia,

I’ve just spent a divine week at the Smiling Oak Tree. The location was ideal. It was easy to fly into FCO Rome and Elena helped me book a car from the airport to the retreat. I wanted to be away from the city surrounded by nature and I loved the house. The quaint and rustic home is nestled between rolling hills, and horse stables, that provide peaceful hikes worth exploring. The type of yoga Elena shares is Sivananda, yoga. Yogis of all levels can practice Sivananda yoga because of its easy-going pace and style. The style remains the same, so it was also a treat to become more familiar with the routine. There was a good balance between meditation, the specific breathing exercises and the asanas (physical postures). The price was absolutely reasonable. There were many opportunities for more self-development such as Reiki, or an NLP coaching session along with wonderful Ayurvedic massages treatments. It was exactly what I desired in a yoga retreat. I am so grateful that I chose this yoga retreat. The 7 days spent in Campagnano was absolutely divine. Thank you to Elena and her kind and caring staff in beautiful Italy.

from United Kingdom,

I loved the Smiling Oak! It was a home away from home; Elena is a wonderful person and she took care of everyone thoroughly. The vegetarian food served was absolutely delicious! I have returned as a much calmer person. I am already planning to return next year

from United Kingdom,

I had a truly wonderful stay at Smiling Oak. I would definitely recommend it and will probably go back there myself. I was in desperate need of some rest and relaxation when I arrived and I left completely renewed. The yoga and meditation was fantastic and Elena is a truly wonderful yoga teacher. My yoga improved massively in just a few days. I also took advantage of an Ayurvedic massage and a couple of Reiki sessions, which also enhanced my stay. Though a committed carnivore, I really enjoyed the delicious home-cooked vegetarian meals provided for us and felt that a week of this diet was a key element of my feeling so good at the end of my stay. Elena is a wonderful host and an inspiring lady and I felt privileged to benefit from her yoga tuition, her Reiki and also her stimulating conversation over our lovely meals. So happy to have discovered this gem of a place and have already recommended it to a few people.

from Austria,
