Emotion Code with Lisa Berry

The Emotion Code is a powerful transformative modality to identify and remove emotional baggage in a non-invasive effective manner. It’s a reality that you will experience upsetting situations during your lifetime. It’s how you deal with the emotions linked to the situations that are damaging. Most of the population is walking around with a hidden rucksack of emotional baggage that is buried deep in their mind and yet there is no conscious awareness that this is happening. Sessions will be via Zoom or telephone and will last from 45 minutes to an hour.

Foraging with Jack Bradley

The garden at The House at Temple Sowerby is home to a wealth of herbs and flowers that Jack uses in the kitchen. Pickling and preserving techniques are then used to provide a year-long supply of specials such as hogweed shoot kimchi or elderflower vinegar. The Restaurant at Temple Sowerby is the proud owner of a 2AA rosette award for the innovation and quality of food served by Jack and his team.

Retreat location

The beauty of the English Lakes and the rugged, wild landscapes of the Pennines are the most obvious natural attractions to be enjoyed within easy driving distance of The House at Temple Sowerby.

Temple Sowerby was known as the ‘Queen of Westmorland Villages’ and even today, the elegant 18th and 19th-century buildings - there are 22 grade II listed buildings - create a special atmosphere in this little Eden Valley village.

Parts of The House at Temple Sowerby date from the early 1720s whilst the frontage of the main building is of early Georgian architecture, around 1810. It is considered that the Coach House is of even earlier construction, probably built during the late 1600s.

There is a wealth of things to do and numerous places to visit. The area offers lakes, mountains, villages, cycle routes, water sports, museums, specialist shops, great drives, walks, educational and cultural visits too.
