More than ever, yoga is proving beneficial for both the mind and body during these difficult times. Here's your opportunity to receive an introduction to different yoga styles from the comfort of a boutique hotel, introduction to The Emotion Code and Energy Healing at no extra charge with Lisa Berry, foraging with their chef, award-winning cuisine and stay in en-suite rooms with single occupancy.
Choice of three types of rooms, all of which have en-suite facilities and prices are for single occupancy in double rooms, including all meals and activities.
These are the largest rooms and have been tastefully refurbished with contemporary touches and come with superking beds with quality linen, en-suite bathrooms with either an air-spa bath or a walk-in hydro-therapy shower with bathrobes and slippers provided, widescreen TVs, Nespresso coffee machines, DAB radio, hair straighteners, and USB ports.

However, this means that your retreat now includes additional content; establishing a morning and evening routine, group introduction to energy medicine, and The Emotion Code with Lisa Berry. All of the new activities are still included in your price.
Your stay with them will include the following:
Alongside yoga and meditation, there will be an opportunity to sample The Emotion Code with Lisa Berry, forage in the garden with Head Chef, Jack Bradley for a variety of wild, edible foods or perhaps take one of the cycles for a trip around the Eden Valley.
The Emotion Code is a powerful transformative modality to identify and remove emotional baggage in a non-invasive effective manner. It’s a reality that you will experience upsetting situations during your lifetime. It’s how you deal with the emotions linked to the situations that are damaging. Most of the population is walking around with a hidden rucksack of emotional baggage that is buried deep in their mind and yet there is no conscious awareness that this is happening. Sessions will be via Zoom or telephone and will last from 45 minutes to an hour.
The garden at The House at Temple Sowerby is home to a wealth of herbs and flowers that Jack uses in the kitchen. Pickling and preserving techniques are then used to provide a year-long supply of specials such as hogweed shoot kimchi or elderflower vinegar. The Restaurant at Temple Sowerby is the proud owner of a 2AA rosette award for the innovation and quality of food served by Jack and his team.
Jayne is a 450-hour fully qualified RYT yoga instructor, trained in a number of several yoga practices from the more energetic Vinyasa flow to the gentle restorative Yin Yoga, with Tantra, a more in-depth personal practice allowing you to really concentrate on connecting with your true authenticity, sitting in between the two. She had the good fortune to train in India, learning yoga philosophy from an experienced guru, and practicing with some amazing yogis. Yoga isn't just a set of exercises to gentle music, it's an holistic practice with many healing qualities.
Lisa Berry has been on a remarkable 15-year healing and transformational journey that has seen her change every aspect of her life, from one of a corporate professional enjoying material wealth to a holistic practitioner enjoying riches of a different kind, full of purpose, fulfillment and enjoying optimal health and wellbeing.
The beauty of the English Lakes and the rugged, wild landscapes of the Pennines are the most obvious natural attractions to be enjoyed within easy driving distance of The House at Temple Sowerby.
Temple Sowerby was known as the ‘Queen of Westmorland Villages’ and even today, the elegant 18th and 19th-century buildings - there are 22 grade II listed buildings - create a special atmosphere in this little Eden Valley village.
Parts of The House at Temple Sowerby date from the early 1720s whilst the frontage of the main building is of early Georgian architecture, around 1810. It is considered that the Coach House is of even earlier construction, probably built during the late 1600s.
There is a wealth of things to do and numerous places to visit. The area offers lakes, mountains, villages, cycle routes, water sports, museums, specialist shops, great drives, walks, educational and cultural visits too.
The house is located 8 miles from Penrith Railway Station. If you let your host have your rail details, they will gladly come to collect you. Alternatively, there are taxis outside the train station or Ron's taxi company based in Temple Sowerby.
