  • Acharya Bala

    Acharya Bala, the founder and the director of Hatha Vidya Gurukulam, comes from the Thrissur district of Kerala in India. His journey began in Yoga-Vedanta Forest Academy, Sivananda Ashram, Rishikesh, where he attained the basic training in yoga. After this, he traveled extensively through Northern India. He was fortunate to come across some of the most eminent masters, who shared with him the wisdom to experience the true essence of a yogic journey.

This retreat will take place at The Field Retreat in Malleret-Bousssac, France.

A diet will be provided to compliment your practice, comprising delicious and easily digestible vegan and vegetarian food.

Nearest train stations are Lavaufranche, Guéret, Montluçon, and Châteauroux. The Field Retreat offers a pick-up shuttle where possible for 20 EUR - (local station Lavaufranche pick-up is free).

  • The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 21 days before the arrival date.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 21 days before arrival.

    CONS Cons: The level of instruction was 5 star but the accomodation and food did not reach that level. Having said that, the weekend was a good experience for me and I enjoyed myself

    PROS Pros: L'accueil, la vie très familiale, la qualité des cours, le rythme, le calme de l'endroit, les ėchanges et discussions lors des repas, les plats vegan proposés. Partage avec beaucoup de gaieté. Helen et Eric sont des professeurs enthousiastes, très pédagogues qui expliquent avec patience et poussent à progresser. C'est leur point fort sans aucun doute !
