As a ballet student enrolled at The Royal Danish Ballet, I early on felt a need to find a space that was just mine. Almost by accident, at the age of 12, I attended my first ashtanga vinyasa class. This turned out to be a meeting that would forever change my life; I knew from that moment that one day I would study and continue this ancient tradition somewhere, somehow. All though it took many years of denial; 7 years at The Danish Ballet, 3 years at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, 12 years of working as a full time dancer, model and actress travelling all around the world work

I became a qualified Yoga teacher in 2006 with the Life centre in London with a diploma course accredited by the British Wheel of Yoga and have been teaching in West Wales ever since. I continue to attend workshops and courses, both in the UK and overseas with great teacher from all different Yoga traditions( Richard Freeman from the Ashtanga Vinyasa and Aadil Palkavalya from Purna Yoga to name a few), on aspects of Yoga that I wish to deepen both for my own practice and for my classes.
I have been very fortunate to have trained with many inspiring yoga teachers, experiencing different styles such as Astanga, Iyengar, Sivananda & traditional hatha and my wish is to inspire others in the way that I have.

I’m Chef Ceri a 30-something professional Natural Chef. I cook with seasonal whole foods, choosing organic and local foods where possible. My emphasis is on putting vegetables at the centre of the plate, an easy way of eating healthy to make you feel good. I completed my 6-month natural chef training – passing with honours – at Bauman College of Holistic Nutrition and Culinary Arts in Berkeley, California at the beginning of 2014. I now live and work back in London as a freelance natural chef, food writer and healthy cooking instructor.
The retreat will take place in the village of Lawrenny in Pembrokeshire, set on an old castle terrace overlooking the stunning Cleddau Estuary.
BigRetreaters can look forward to the return of some of the talented chefs who entertained (and fed) past retreaters with some of their mouth-watering concoctions in the cookery tent last year, and there will be some exciting new faces that The Big Retreat Wales will be announcing in the new year. To balance out some of the ‘naughty-but-nice-go-on-just-one-more’ cookeries, there will also be nutrition talks and juicing workshops where you will get all the motivation and know-how you need to kick start a mini health and wellbeing revolution in your own kitchen. They even get the kids involved.
There are also gin workshops. Past Big Retreaters could not get enough of these classes last year so they are back, larger than ever (the classes). They are extremely popular, so get there on the double. You know where the gin goes, but at the Big Retreat you can also learn about where it comes from, the different types and how to make the perfect gin and tonic. Gin workshops are included in the ticket price. All products used are extensively tested for quality control purposes.
The Big Retreat Wales is very big on local food and drink, and there was a lot of love for the food and drink on-site at the Big Retreat last year. The famous Little Peppercorn burgers, wood-fired pizzas, the simply divine vegan renegade cafe, Cwlbox seafood, Pancakes, Mr. Croquewitch and many, many more delivered a richly varied and delicious range along with the street food market in the Rose Garden. The Big Retreat Wales' very own village pub landlord Steve runs the well-stocked pop-up bar with local ales and ciders to refresh the thirsty retreaters too.
