Accommodation

The campsite is situated a five-minute stroll through the woods to the festival site. The site will open at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, so you can come and pitch (classes or activities will start at 1:00 p.m.). There will be hot showers and loos. Feel free to bring a legged-barbecue to cook or a small camping stove. Please no fires on the grass. There are only limited spaces for campervans - so book early to bag one of the spaces - mention on your booking form to be sure to get a space. Your pitch fee is included in your ticket from this site and runs from Friday to Monday.

Program

Welcome to sumptuous feasts where raw and vegan delicacies square off against woodfired pizza, craft gins and, trust The Wellness Designer, the best burgers on earth. They have left nothing undone to help you find your feel good. They believe in filling your days with magic. So they offer over 300 carefully curated events, classes, workshops, and talks. From things you may have enjoyed before to things which will stop your mind in its tracks.

They encourage you to try something new - see if it fits, if it inspires, maybe changes your perceptions, if it makes you feel good. And space for kids. A football pitch for hours of fun, trampolining and fitness classes, family yoga and mindfulness, dance classes, bushcraft and den building, foraging, music, and arts and crafts. And running around. A lot. They put their heart and soul into their festival. Their guests are their families.

And when the sun sinks serenely in the west on Monday evening, you will bid you farewell as you journey back to your world. On Tuesday, you will stroll back through the doors of your life, brimming with wonderful festival memories. Your weekend tickets include over 300 activities including over 200 hours of yoga and fitness classes, cookery demos, arts and craft workshops, bushcraft, guided wild swimming sessions, comedy and live music, wellbeing workshops, meditation, gong baths, talks from leading health and wellbeing experts.

Food

BigRetreaters can look forward to the return of some of the talented chefs who entertained (and fed) past retreaters with some of their mouth-watering concoctions in the cookery tent last year, and there will be some exciting new faces that The Big Retreat Wales will be announcing in the new year. To balance out some of the ‘naughty-but-nice-go-on-just-one-more’ cookeries, there will also be nutrition talks and juicing workshops where you will get all the motivation and know-how you need to kick start a mini health and wellbeing revolution in your own kitchen. They even get the kids involved.

There are also gin workshops. Past Big Retreaters could not get enough of these classes last year so they are back, larger than ever (the classes). They are extremely popular, so get there on the double. You know where the gin goes, but at the Big Retreat you can also learn about where it comes from, the different types and how to make the perfect gin and tonic. Gin workshops are included in the ticket price. All products used are extensively tested for quality control purposes.

The Big Retreat Wales is very big on local food and drink, and there was a lot of love for the food and drink on-site at the Big Retreat last year. The famous Little Peppercorn burgers, wood-fired pizzas, the simply divine vegan renegade cafe, Cwlbox seafood, Pancakes, Mr. Croquewitch and many, many more delivered a richly varied and delicious range along with the street food market in the Rose Garden. The Big Retreat Wales' very own village pub landlord Steve runs the well-stocked pop-up bar with local ales and ciders to refresh the thirsty retreaters too.
