Terra Brasilis Retreats will repeat its successful rainforest coastal nature immersion in a spectacular oceanfront location, inserted in the exuberant forest, overlooking the sea, mountains, and steps away from the sand. This ecological immersion’s theme will be “healing in the Brazilian waters”. It will take place in a small coastal village of Picinguaba, located in a tranquil bay at the heart of the tropical forest, in the only part of the “Sea Sierra” state park that reaches the beach.

Accommodation
Pousada Picinguaba is keeping things calm by having only 9 rooms and 1 master suite with bathtub and an incomparable view. The rooms do not come with televisions, telephones or internet service, but instead, have a private veranda for guests to connect to the ocean and forest from the gentle swing of a hammock. The rooms are also intended for single or double occupancy but some can be equipped with an extra bed if desired.
The windows are facing the garden and the immensity of the sea, flowers, and tropical plants compose natural paintings in each room. Birds also make unexpected visits. It is a place to reconnect with nature, with people, and with the beauty of tranquil life.
The Casa Verde or Green House, not far from the Pousada, is a tucked away space perfect for couples or families that would like more privacy. The house accommodates 2 to 6 people in 3 separate rooms, and one of them is a suite. The guests will benefit from all the services of the Pousada Picinguaba, including its pool, sauna, and all meals.

All special activities are subject to change due to weather and river and tide conditions. Kátea Miranda
Atma (Kátea Miranda) is a doula and yoga teacher, a massage therapist (Ayurvedic yoga massage and Thai yoga massage), Reiki master, a writer and poet, and an author of the book entitled "Entrelinhas". She develops presentations with art-performance through music, dance, poetry, nature-recycling, and yoga choreography. Her yoga teaching is based on an integral vision of the various aspects of Hatha yoga such as Integral yoga, Pre-classic yoga, Swasthya yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, Iyengar yoga, Anusara yoga, and Kundalini yoga.

Seu Cirilo, a Picinguaba resident, keeps the farm overflowing with bananas, cacao, manioc root, cambuci, hearts of palm, and whatever else pops up in the backyard. Fresh organic vegetables and fruits are brought from Fazenda Catuçaba. Neighborhood fishermen, who are friends of the Pousada, will bring the Picinguaba’s famous fresh scallops, and sometimes even stick around to open them for guests.
The foods are from the nets of the local fishermen to your table. The fish which is still salty from the sea is only a short walk away from Tati’s kitchen. Every year, the offerings are changing by the season, such as; anchovies, baquara, carapeva, sororoca (in the winter), mas pargo, vermelho, robalo (snook), and garopa (year-round). They are grilled, baked, and boiled.

Please book your flight to arrive at São Paulo-Congonhas Airport (CGH). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request.
Transfers could be arranged at an additional fee, with the staff group on the retreat event’s start day and retreat event’s departure days for guests scheduling at the time of registration only. There is limited space for the scheduled transfers, a number of guests per shuttle are limited and available on a first come first serve basis.

The group pick-up is scheduled at 07:00 at São Paulo-Congonhas Airport (CGH) and the drop-off at the same airport is estimated at 22:00 (local São Paulo time, Brazil) on the retreat event’s last day.
