This retreat is a feast for those who love adventure on the mountains and are thirsty for the truth hidden within. You are going to dive into the world of endless beauty, untouched nature, meditation and yogic experience. While living in the natural surroundings, you are going to taste the infinite pleasure of simplicity and ordinary life: bathing in the river, cooking by the fire, sleeping under the stars, and touching the earth with your bare feet. All of these activities will intensify your awareness, creating a supreme experience of spontaneity and liberation.
During this retreat, the accommodation will be very basic. You will be provided with tents to spend the nights up in the mountains. You will have to forget about Wi-Fi, hot showers and flushing toilets. Its going to be wild.
Your basecamp is located in Chinar Paradise. This is the point from which your trekking journey begins. Chinar is also the place where you will spend your last night of the retreat.
Chinar is hugged by waterfall, greenery, and strong mountains. Still, the Chinar Soul House is highly accessible. Within seven minutes of walking distance is Bhagsunag Village. The house is tucked under Chinar, a giant maple tree. There are lovely tables made of the Himalayan stones and hammocks where you can relax forgetting the time. There are spectacular mountain views everywhere you look. Chinar House is small and charming and can accommodate up to nine people. There are double rooms with nature view and detached shared bathrooms.
Here at Chinar you will receive rare glimpses into worldly traditions and together celebrate the life through dance and music. Chinar is committed to create harmonious environment and help all beings develop their full potential of infinite wisdom and compassion. Among the precious gifts of this land are its unmanipulated, pristine forestry, virgin air, and crystal water flowing directly from the Himalayan, snow-capped peaks. Chinar is the final resting place before one treks deep into the Himalayas above. From here, you can go on a mesmerizing trek into the Dhauladhar Range of the Himalaya.
Chinar is also 20 minutes by foot from Macleodganj bus station. The nearest airport, Dharamsala Gaggal Airport, is 20 kilometres (12.4 miles) away, and takes about 45 minutes by taxi.
In this retreat, you will set out to expand the idea of yoga as a series of physical exercises, and bring the yogic attitude and awareness to every aspect of your journey so that yoga becomes a way of life. The aim of this retreat is to develop spontaneity, joy and a strong inner core so you will be able to face every challenge in life with detachment, equanimity and gratitude. During the journey, you'll have to forget about yoga as intensive and fast paced exercises. You will flow with meditative movements and rhythms of nature.
Being in nature is very relaxing and it is a truly meditative experience. You will get the chance to smell the mountain air and the blooming trees. You will listen to the music of the wind, waterfalls, flowing rivers and graceful birds flying in the sky. It's as if Mother Earth tells you to stop, be present and breathe deeply. Wisdom comes from nature. That's why the Himalayas became the land of yogis and sages.
You will spend your time at Chinar Paradise. The activities include acclimatization, afternoon yoga and relaxation sessions.
The activities include morning yoga, trekking to the Triund Hill (2835 meters above sea level), and evening meditation.
In the morning on the Triund Hill, you will have a yoga session followed by trekking to Snowline (3000 meters above sea level). Activities that follow include yoga Nidra session and evening meditation.
The day starts with morning yoga followed by trekking to Lahas Cave (3300 meters above sea level). Then, you will go back to Triund where you will enjoy an evening meditation session.
You will begin the day with morning yoga. On this day, you will descend back to Chinar Paradise where you will enjoy an evening meditation session.

This is the end of the retreat and a new beginning for your life.
A philosopher and an artist (Saumyatirtha Art), Saumya shares her yogic experience in India, Ireland, and Poland. In her classes, you will move beyond the idea of yoga as a series of physical exercises and stretches. Saumya will invite you to focus on developing deep awareness: emotional, mental, and energetical. Saumya will also teach you to try to understand primordial forces governing your bodies and the universe, a dynamic balance of yin and yang. She practices Satyananda Yoga and Bihar yoga.
Ved is a natural yogi, a Dharamsala local, expert mountaineer, connoisseur of Himalayan wilderness, and above all a kind and patient human being.
This trekking and yoga retreat will be held in Dharamsala. The adventure itself will take place in the magnificent scenery of Kangra and Chamba Valley, a splendidly isolated valley system in North India, Himachal Pradesh. They are known for their sacredness, antiquity, art and scenic beauty.

During the retreat, the kitchen team will provide healthy and tasty vegetarian meals. The menus are balanced with the season and are based on locally grown fruits and vegetables. Since everything is made from scratch using fresh ingredients to create a variety of healthy dishes, Chinar are able to meet everyone’s need. You will also have a vegetarian cooking class.

Please book your flight to arrive at Indira Ghandi International Airport (DEL) in New Delhi, from where you will take a domestic flight to Gaggal Airport (DHM) with Air India or SpiceJet.
Regular direct bus services are available from main cities. From Delhi, there are government and private buses departing from Kashmiri Gate (ISBT-Inter State Bus Terminal) and Majnu ka Tila (Tibetan Colony). Most buses leave between 18:00 and 20:30 and arrive in Dharamsala at 06:00 to 07:00. You can book your ticket in advance online or take a private bus company such as Bedi Travel.
From Indira Ghandi International Airport (DEL) you can take the Airport Express Metro to New Delhi Railway Station. Once there, you can go to the tourist office and ask for the next train to Pathankot (Chakki Bank). Its the nearest train station, which is approximately 85 kilometers from Dharamsala. After arriving in Pathankot ,you can either take a bus which is about 3.5 hours travelling time from Dharamsala (at a cost of 200 INR) or a taxi which takes 2.5 hours (and costs approximately 1500 INR).
