Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh

  • 10.30 - 12.00 : Breakfast / brunch
  • 12.00 - 14.00 : Yoga principles / philosophy / Yoga Sutra lectures
  • 14.00 - 15.00 : Rest time / free time / refreshing time
  • 15.00 - 16.00 : Workshop time / self-study / guest lecturers / teaching methodology
  • 16.00 - 18.00 : Asana practice / hand of adjustment / art of transaction / body ailment
  • 18.00 - 19.00 : Rest time / free time / teaching practice
  • 19.30 - 21.00 : Dinner

Orientation meeting

An orientation meeting will be held on the first day of the training at 17:00 to ensure that students know where the classes are, to familiarize with the course facilities and to allow students to meet each other and their teachers. Student attendance on orientation day is mandatory.

Eligibility

  • The applicant should understand basic English language as the yoga teacher training course is conducted in English language.
  • Prior experience or knowledge of yoga is necessarily required. An open mind and eagerness to learn is also essential.
  • The applicant should be in a good physical condition. This TTC is a very demanding program with at least 7-8 hours of training daily.
  • Therefore, we advise you to maintain a daily 90 minutes Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga practice before you join the course.
  • 100% attendance at all classes is mandatory. Participants must follow the timetable and attend all sessions, activities.
  • Please do not bring any meat from outside as only vegetarian food is served in Rishikesh.
  • Please submit a short Ashtanga yoga practice video (approx. 10 minutes) of yourself along with registration form.
  • Places are given on eligibility and on first-pay-first-serve basis.

Spiritual people will find total peace in Rishikesh and will feel at home. Rishikesh is translated as 'the city of saints.'

Food

Only vegetarian food is provided in Rishikesh. Two meals and two teas will be served daily. To experience the good effects of the yogic lifestyle, it is advisable not to bring any meat from outside.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

International flights arrive at New Delhi International Airport.

Arrival by train

Take the train from New Delhi to Haridwar (approximately 6 hours). Take a local bus from Haridwar bus station to Rishikesh bus station (approximately 1 hour).Take an auto-rickshaw to Rishikesh Ram Jhula district taxistand (approximately 15 minutes).

Cross the Ram Jhula bridge and take a right turn, you will see Choti Wala Restaurant. The big Shala is on left side just before the Choti Wala, and the small Shala is on the right towards Parmarth Niketan Ashram road. Tattvaa Yoga Shala is located 100 meters from the bridge on the right side along the Ganges River (approximately 15 minutes walking).
