Accommodation

Villa Azul has a peaceful and very homey atmosphere, themed rooms from around the world, and lots of comfy chill-out areas. You can relax with a book in the garden, have a dip in the pool, chat with your fellow guests in the lounge, or sit and enjoy the view of the sea from the balcony terrace. If you are here during the season, you will get to taste some of the delicious fruits and vegetables grown right here in the colorful Buddha garden.

Santa Fe room

This experience is themed after the artistic mountain town of Santa Fe, New Mexico, a town with beautiful energy much like Fuerteventura. Santa Fe is a well-being haven, and you will feel that the moment you step in the door. Decorated with the southwestern charm that makes so many feel at home there. With views of the coast this large, light space is a lovely place to spend your holidays.

There is a large comfortable double bed, allowing the room to sleep one or two. Shared bathroom just with one room.

Bali room

The sacred temples, beauty, and mystery of Bali provide the perfect setting for a well-being journey. The beauty of the land and the kindness of the people provide inspiration for this bright and comfortable space. You can rest, reflect, meditate and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of the villa.

Main level, with a garden view. Shared Bathroom just with one room. There are two single beds, which can be made up as a double in this lovely space.

Little India apartment

Traveling to exotic India may be a bit much for just a week, but stay here and complete your yogic experience by surrounding yourself with the sights and colors of this beautiful land.

This bright apartment has a bedroom, en-suite, lounge with sofa and dining table, kitchenette and garden terrace. The beds can be made up as double or as two single beds (both options are shown in the gallery below), so the room is perfect for solo travelers, couples, and friends traveling together. Private bathroom.

Canarias apartment

The Canary Islands have a unique charm, which you can discover by traveling a little off the beaten path. From volcanoes and lunar landscapes to sub-tropical forests and deserted beaches, the islands are a place to restore yourself to nature.

This spacious apartment has two private bedrooms, with a lounge and a pool terrace and garden. Suitable for four guests, this is a great way to meet other like-minded people or for groups traveling together. Please note that due to the shared nature of this accommodation option, the rooms in the apartment can only be booked by female guests. Shared bathroom just with one room.

Casita wood

This little wood cabin at the end of the Buddha garden is a great cozy space for you to rest your head. With your very own seating area looking out across the garden to the pool and villa, this is a tranquil space for you to enjoy some rest and relaxation. Shared bathroom just with one room in the main villa.

California room

The good hospitality and great vibes of the American west coast provide the theme for this cozy option. A private space with a shared bath is a nice option for those on a budget.

There is a window in the California room that opens into the hallway in front of the yoga shala. The hallway opens up directly to the outside so there is a fresh air breeze coming in. There are no windows in the room facing directly outside.

The room is on their base level, which keeps it cool in temperature in the warmer months. Private bathroom.

Program

Tai Chi Fuerteventura Wellbeing Retreat offers yoga classes in different styles. During its one-week program, Yin and Yang styles of yoga are complementing each other by bringing balance between active and passive, masculine and feminine energies. The classes are based on the harmony of proper breathing, physical movement, and conscious presence.

You will practice with ’Ahimsa’, which literally means non-violence to yourself. Tai Chi Fuerteventura Wellbeing Retreat's priorities are to take care of you while giving you space and freedom to make the best of your yoga and meditation practice.

On one hand, it means offering free choices for you to be able to adapt your practice to your personal needs while you make your own personal connection and experience under their guidance. On the other hand, they give you proper alignments and corrections for safe, preventive, therapeutic, and sustainable practice. It reduces repetitive stress on joints and ligaments that can be caused also by unbalanced yoga practice, lack of balance in the physical body or in your lifestyle.

The yoga classes are always guided with a holistic approach and with personal attention to each student.

Yin style practices

Slowly - gently - deeply

When everything in your life is shifting, moving, and adjusting, wouldn’t it be lovely to feel grounded, calm and peaceful again?

Doing less can be very effective. Yin and meditative practices provide you with the superpower to stay calm in the chaos and take you further into unraveling the mysteries of the mind and beliefs. This retreat gives you the space to meet your true self.

The Yin style practices are: Yin yoga, Restorative yoga, deep relaxation (yoga Nidra), and meditation. Yin is a slow, soothing, and meditative style of practice. Yin is essentially a practice of surrender. Unlike other yang forms of practices that require strength and stability, Yin attitude requires stillness and softness. The result is a more mobile and fluid physical body and a more resilient and steady mind.

Yin yoga targets the deep connective tissues, bones, joints, fascia, and ligaments in the body. It also focuses on stretching and stimulating different meridians (energy channels) and acupressure points from Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Yang style practices

Enery and movement

Yang yoga is a style of yoga that is an effective way to strengthen, tone, and stretch your entire body. It helps your digestion, deepens your breath, relaxes your mind, and expands your consciousness. You will feel more energetic, more flexible, stronger, and less stressed.

Yang practice is suitable for everyone and will help you to feel fitter and healthier. The Yang style practices are: Hatha / Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Kundalini, Power, etc. The goal of these types of yoga is to build internal heat. They use special breathing (pranayama), and flowing with the breath dynamic sequences, consisting of repetitive movements and poses (asanas) that strengthen, lengthen, and tone the muscles.
