"This retreat is amazing! I highly recommend this retreat."

The venue is beautiful and super clean. The food (prepared by Bictor) is great.Beyond that there is a lovely atmosphere. Tai chi and yoga classes are high quality. I learned a lot of all the wisdom Paco and Borry shared during the classes and excursions. Acupuncture session that Paco gives helped me to get rid of some bad habit I had. Dinner is shared with other participants what creates a real nice way to connect with each other. I also took a massage with Sandra and this was the best massage I ever had! Overall I m really enthousiast about this retreat and would love to go here again.

"Some unpleasant surprises throughout"

The food was amazing - Victor is a fantastic chef!

The yoga instructors were wonderful - both Bori and Carla are lovely. I enjoyed the practices very much!

The massage by Natalia was very nice too.

What I liked most: I met a lot of kindred spirits in this place, which I am very grateful for.

"Very relaxing experience "

The organisation was good from start to finish.

Communication was always open, which I particularly appreciated leading up to the trip.

Collection from the airport was punctual.

Yoga that evening was relaxing.

Carla & Sara accommodated all levels of experience & ability. It felt inclusive and relaxing with room for stretching abilities.

There is plenty of room for personal relaxing intermingling with social time with others.

It was very helpful to arrive on any day & merge with the flow of the group.

The food from Victor was prepared with love and skill. The was very special for me & others. Do not be afraid to ask for your requirements.

I liked the days for exploring local eateries which were friendly & tasty. Also cooking with the group was a bonding experience & made for a good experience.

"Wonderful safe space"

Perfect place to take time for yourself, reconnect an recharge. Paco is an amazing person who embodies unconditional love and is willing to help you when you ask, his knowledge and Thai Chi lessons are great. Yoga with Bari was wonderful as well, the surrounding which she creates during the lesson is filled with joy, healing, gratefulness and acceptance. The vegan food of Victor is amazing, your body will enjoy it a lot. Surfclasses are great and for all levels. Wonderful energy and cute village, where you can take nice walks. Villa Azul is full of little details, you can see the energy that is being put in, to create a nice experience for the guests. Take the journey, you got to see it yourself.

"Een onvergetelijke ervaring"

Rustig verblijf met alle benodigde faciliteiten bij de hand, professionele tai chi en yoga docenten, er werd heerlijk gekookt. Corralejo dichtbij, prachtige natuur, ontspannen sfeer op het eiland. Perfecte ingrediënten om heerlijk tot jezelf te komen en te ontspannen. Een week om nooit te vergeten, veel mooie herinneringen!

"✨Just what I was looking for ✨"

Villa Azul is a beautiful spot, tucked away in a quiet village. A lovely contrast to the busier locations on the island. The instruction and food was fantastic. A brilliant introduction for me to tai chi. The yin classes were great too. Very chill overall. I particularly appreciated Paco’s flexible approach to looking after his guest’s needs.

"A Holistic Journey: My Experience with Tai Chi, Qigong, Yin "

My stay at the retreat center was truly transformative—an opportunity to deeply reconnect with myself through ancient wellness practices, nourishing food, and the beauty of nature.

From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed by the calm and serene atmosphere. The facilities are modern, spotless, and designed for ultimate comfort. Every detail, from the tranquil rooms to the communal spaces, reflects a dedication to creating a peaceful, healing environment. The center’s location is also ideal, surrounded by stunning natural landscapes that made it easy to disconnect and immerse myself fully in the experience.

Tai Chi, Qigong, and Yin Yoga Classes: Each day began with these mindful practices, guided by experienced instructors who ensured that each session was both grounding and rejuvenating. Tai Chi and Qigong helped me find my inner balance, while the Yin Yoga sessions allowed me to release tension and restore energy at a deeper level.

Vegan Meals: The food was a highlight! Every meal was a delicious, plant-based creation, thoughtfully prepared to nourish the body. I felt energized and light, and it was amazing to see how well the food complemented the holistic practices.

Acupuncture Sessions: The acupuncture treatments were a perfect addition to the retreat. The skilled practitioners created a safe and relaxing space where I could release both physical and emotional blockages. It was a profound experience that left me feeling renewed.

Excursions: The guided Tai Chi hikes

"Not quite what I was expecting"

The Villa is set in beautiful surroundings, as soon as you walk in the main door you feel relaxed. It is very clean and has a lovely calm feel to the place. The food made by Victor was delicious and varied and served in big portions. The Tai Chi experiences were great, a desert and volcano setting for the practice of Tai Chi - it doesn't get better than that! The yoga teacher Bory was exceptional. I thoroughly enjoyed the sessions with her and learnt a lot from her that I will take forward in my own practice. Lovely outside area with a plunge pool which was lovely for a dip when it got too hot. As there wasn't food every day I ventured out and can recommend the restaurant about 5 mins down the road, very good food and welcoming. There is a little supermarket close by but be mindful it shuts on a Sunday.

"Villa Verde retreat"

I really enjoyed the activities ie Yin Yoga and Tai Chi and I thought both instructors were very knowledgeable. I thought the facilities were kept well particularly the gardens and the dining room area. The brunch and dinner when available was tasty and healthy.

"Exceptional retreat "

On arrival, I was beyond exhausted (I won't bore you with the details). After 7 days, I had found myself again. Paco's Tai Chi instruction and outings were tailored to the 2 or 3 of us who attended. My knowledge went from zero to having a good grasp of this complex practice. Everything in Paco's home, is considered and has laid back beauty. The India Suite was lovely and individually styled, like all the rooms. The garden is so beautifully designed and planted, you could be in a 5 star exclusive small hotel. You can lay in a hammock between palms, you can lounge in the sun, you can laze on sofas, you can sit in the meditation space, you can dip in the pool. You can chat or be alone. The vegan food is superb. Victor makes all the food, serves it and clears up afterwards - it's fresh, made with passion and plentiful to see you through each day. The yoga was peaceful and meditative. I had three massages which I highly recommend - the masseuse identified an issue, and gave me exercises which are helping my age-old shoulder problem. I really enjoyed a trip on the buses to the beach (simply hire a car if you can't be bothered with buses). I met wonderful guests, getting to know them will remain a highlight. The boat trip was a reminder that Fuerteventura is a tourist destination - I enjoyed it but it confirmed how wonderfully removed from corporate tourism, the retreat is - an oasis of calm. (PS there is a guest fridge to keep any non-vegan stuff, eg milk, butter etc)

"A pleasant stay but areas which could be improved "

Food - the private chef cooked delicious plant based three course meals, these were a real highlight.

Yoga - to begin with we found the yang yoga too slow and basic however when we asked for more flow we really loved it. Just be open with what you are looking for at the start of the retreat.

India apartment - was more spacious than the pictures and we liked having our little apartment with private kitchen and bathroom. The communal areas were pleasant, the garden and pool area were lovely to sit in when the sun was shining.

Excursions- the places we visited on the excursions were really picturesque, we saw two beautiful sunrises and exquisite landscape.

"Enjoyed myself "

I met some great people and the yoga instructor was really good. The house is very nice and has lots of places to relax. Whilst the village is not near the sea and the buses aren’t that regular, there are some nice local restaurants and a bakery. There is also some really good walking nearby that you can walk from the house.

"Much more than I expected !"

I had expected a week of solo R&R but got so much more as I met amazing people who will have a life long impact. The Tai Chi lessons with Paco (and his never ending words of wisdom), Bori's Yin Yoga to help close out your day, Victors stunning food........... and not to forget Mari's amazing massages.

The setting itself allowed you to step off the wheel of life and relax. A must for anyone overworked stressed and in need of TLC.

"Perfect oasis of relaxation "

I've had the best week!

Paco has created a beautiful place where people can come on their own, practice yoga or tai chi even if they are complete beginners. Yes, your body will ache but it's a good ache. The massages by Mari were amazing too, my only regret is that I didn't book more of them. And the vegan food was absolutely beautiful. I loved meeting new people and the long talks around the table even long after dinners were over.

The place is based in a small village with great views. Beaches are a bus ride away but it's part of the adventure.

I left very spoiled and definitely recharged batteries.

"Retiro en un lugar prístino "

Me gusto la isla de Fuerteventura, el océano, la tranquilidad. Respecto al retiro me gustaron las tres excursiones, la acupuntura y que por un costo adicional puedes pagar una Masuse muy calificada. Las clases de yoga muy buenas y el personal muy amable.

"Unique experience, very enjoyable "

Food was delicious and served with great care. Very helpful and informative instruction, plus trips to remote areas - everything ran on time. Well appointed studios for classes and massage. Loved the plunge pool and quiet sunbathing area. Tea, coffee and water freely available throughout. Restaurants and buses nearby.

"Excellent mixture of active practice and relaxation"

Altogether an active program which balances very well the intense tai chi training with yin yoga relaxing practices. The tai chi taught by Paco lays a perfect foundation for any beginner but also provides a profound understanding of the practice beyond the form. A great plus was the possibility to combine the activities with an outdoor exploration of the island and its magnificent landscapes.

A totally restorative experience also for the mind, due to the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere of the entire place. Great tutors and staff and, last but not least, the tastiest vegan dishes I've ever tried, with a local touch by chef Victor. Definitely a favorite destination to return to.

"I left feeling deeply relaxed and inspired!"

I loved everything about this retreat - the Tai Chi each morning, Yoga most evenings, delicious vegan food, massages, acupuncture and a dolphin trip. All in all it ticked every box for me!

We did Tai Chi every morning. I had never really done any Tai Chi before so I was a little apprehensive about how it might be. I found it was a very grounding practice for me. I particularly enjoyed the day we went to the beach for a sunrise Tai Chi session - it was a wonderful experience! I left feeling inspired and I will be looking for weekly Tai Chi classes when I get back home from Fuertaventura.

I also enjoyed the calming Yin yoga sessions in the evenings - they were led by two wonderful experienced yoga teachers.

The vegan food - cooked by Victor - was inventive, simple and delicious. I liked having a brunch and then an evening meal most days. This allowed space in the middle of the day to go for a walk to explore a local volcano or to catch bus to one of the local beaches like Corralejo and El Cotillo, which are about 20 mins away by bus.

Highlights were the Dolphin boat excursion and also the two wonderful massages I had while on the retreat. The massages are not included in the package, but they were exceptionally good and well worth paying extra for!

The environment of the centre was perfect - very peaceful, beautifully designed around a small outdoor pool.

Well done to Paco and his team for having such a great vision and setting this all up. I will be back for sure!

"Wonderful mid winter yoga break in Fuerteventura"

In the middle of cold winter it was great to get away from the cold to the sunny island of Fuerteventura.

Yoga with Bori was excellent - mornings were Hatha yoga, and evenings were Yin. Both were delivered with great sensitivity and warmth - creating an environment where we were encouraged to listen to our bodies and explore the movements and stretches, safely and supported by Bori.

Meals provided by Victor were stunning - vegan and always innovative and very tasty.

Two excursions- to a volcano and to sand dunes were lead by Paco and included TaI Chi and mediation at dawn.

The resort was a great space - plenty to room for everyone without feeling crowded. It also has a lovely calm and warm vibe.

Thank you for a lovely experience.

"Chilled retreat venue "

I enjoyed the loose structure to the retreat space with plenty of time for reflection and to walk and explore the island. The bus was very convenient and I didn’t miss not having a car. The international mix of other guests was lovely and it was a really enjoyable week 😊

"Strongly recommended 🤗😉"

Initially I was looking for a retreat right at the beach, but I was persuaded by the rich program of this particular retreat and it was really worth it. In addition, I got enought beach time as well. First and foremost, the retreat house has a perfect location in a village with a sea view from the terrace and dining area of the house. I loooooved this view of vulcanoes around and the sea and you can even see the other island - Lanzarote. Within the program there is one free transfer to the beach, plus you get a catamaran trip to the Isle of Lobos (another beach time), plus you have one outdoor Taichi practice close to the beach. And a local bus (very cheap) goes every hour to a beach. In the end, I actually enjoyed staying in the tranquil atmosphere of the retreat house much more than being in the turmoil of touristic beach places. The acupuncture, Taichi and Yin Yoga practice were really lovely, too. And one last and perhaps equally important thing - the food. OMG, Victor (the cook) is a magician. I loooooved his vegan creations. They were just foodgasmic, no exaggeration 😉 This retreat place belongs to the very first retreat places in the Canary Islands (it has a history of more than 20 years) and you can really feel its richness and elaboration in every detail of the house, the garden, rooms, dining area, the terrace with the views.

"Retreat hat Potenzial "

Das Haus ist toll, mit einem wunderschönen Garten. Yin Yoga mit Bori war wunderschön. Das Essen, Dank Victor, sehr lecker und die Idee glutenfrei und vegetarisch anzubieten finde ich gut! Sehr schön waren auch die Ausflüge in die Natur, verbunden mit Qi Gong.

Villa Azul is a nice and quite place with a spacious common area and a pretty garden to relax.

The yin yoga classes held by Bori was fantastic and the best part of the retreat for me. Very relaxing and she is a wonderful, caring teacher.

The place attracts nice people and I had a wonderful time with fellow guests exploring the island during our time off.

The Food was very tasty and is homemade from scratch.

"Amazing surprise !"

The time I have had at Paco’s place will stay with me for a long time I believe. It brought me everything that I needed without even knowing it: a peaceful and beautiful house, incredibly delicious and healthy food, time for sports, time for your mind, time by myself and time with wonderfully interesting and lovely people. Everything in villa azul is done with love and attention and this is something that you feel in every moment and that transmits to the group of people staying there.

If you are looking to do a stay of surf and partying maybe do not come here. But if you are looking for a refreshing holiday, I definitely recommend coming here. It will bring you a lot.

"Tai Chi Bliss"

The retreat centre was beautifully designed and thought out. My bedroom was very comfortable. I sorted my own food out as a part of my package and enjoyed shopping & cooking in the outside kitchen. The Tai Chi classes were fun, focused and incredibly enriching. The extra massage and acupuncture were also wonderful. The beaches are stunning alongside the desert backdrop, the water clean and it feels safe everywhere you go. Definitely will return!

"Wonderfull And Relaxing"

Villa was really nice, in a really nice quiet location so a great place to relax in the sun during the day. Garden is beautiful. Paco was an excellent host and could not be more helpful. Had a nice mix of classes and excursions with plenty of time to relax. The excursions where great, one near the beach and 1 near the beautiful mountains

It is situated in a nice small town that has a couple of restaurants and a supermarket and bakery and also a bus stop. The larger town of Corralejo is about 20 mins by car or taxi which has loads of restaurants. Paco recommended a few and the one we tried was wonderfull

Weather was great, really warm, wore shorts and T shirt all week, much better than the UK in November!

Vegan food was great as well, you definitely will always be full! I also liked that the meals where not every night so had a chance to try so of the local restaurants

I went by myself and met a great bunch of people on the retreat, it was sad to part ways after the week.

Definitely will be back in the near future

"Great Tai Chi experience"

Paco is patient and very competent and easygoing. He also brings some humour into the process so you feel comfortable. He helps you recognise how challenging Tai Chi is without being intimidated by it. The place is so calm and pretty. It's a complete switch off from daily life. You can have total privacy if you want. Very valuable. Very enriching. (And two nice restaurants within walking distance are a plus.)
