The yoga teacher training is held on a beautiful Andalusian style Eco-Farm. The property is situated on the edge of the Sierra Nevada National Park where you can enjoy a variety of local fauna and flora. At 1250 meters above sea level, this Centre offers the best of fresh clean mountain air and the southern Spanish summer sun.

This Eco-Farm has been adapted as a retreat centre with traditional Spanish accommodation, a natural mineral water swimming pool and two Yoga Shalas; one indoor and one outdoor. The main Yoga Room is spacious and has a broad view of the surrounding mountains. The accommodation rooms are simple, clean and comfortable, appointed in the same manner found in Ashram lifestyle, and there are single and shared rooms available.

We train 6 days a week, with 1 day off a week and we work around 8-9 hours a day. There will be 4 hours of practice and 3.5 to 4 hours for lectures, discussions, teaching practice, and other activities. Two nights a week we have both bhajans (devotional singing) and conscious cinema.

Andalucia is Spains southernmost region, stretching from the Mediterranean Sea in the east to the Portuguese border in the west. The main attraction of the landscape of Andalusia centers on its impressive contrasts: mountains and beaches, deserts and salt flats, plains and countryside where Mediterranean crops alternate with pastureland.

Between the highest mountains of Andalusia and the Mediterranean Sea, the Alpujarras is one of the most enchanting and beautiful regions of Spain and where our training will be. Our meeting point will be in the town centre of Orgiva, 25 kilometeres from the retreat center.

"I would highly recommend taking this teacher training. Not only has it provided me with a solid foundation for teaching yoga but also t has helped me to develop personally. I particularly love the combination of dynamic yang classes in the morning and releasing yin postures in the afternoon. I loved the food! Every meal has been really tasty, interesting and well thought out. Everything was really fresh and seasonal. The variety of food was amazing and well connected to the 5 elements. The meals allowed me to integrate the practices and gave me a great insight which foods are beneficial for me and which aren´t."

"The combination of deep practices, healthy food and a beautiful safe environment with amazing teachers has made this a truly memorable and rewarding experience Thank you for everything you have done for us on this path of learning and self-development."

"Thank you for all of it! The course was deep, informational and pretty fitting to the vibe I got from your website originally. I´ve been looking for an experience like this for a long time and I don´t think I could have gotten it at any other teacher training. The practices were innovative and challenging, satisfying and engaging. This course was one of the best experiences I had in my life – the opportunity for self-enquiry balanced with yoga and study. The food was amazing and really inspiring. The teachers are really knowledgeable, warm and caring. I felt supported during the whole time. I recommend this course to anyone that is looking to learn more about themselves, yoga and holistic health"

"This was a journey through my body, my feelings, my elements and of course my own Nature. On the journey I met all kinds of challenges, triumphs, subtle and gross parts of me and I tapped into something bigger than me. This holistic journey brought me the realization that in the end we all connected and One. To share this with an amazing group of people inspired me to go out into the world and share it with my students and community."

"To my teachers, thank you for your energy, your love, your listening, your knowledge and for sharing it all with us."

"I came to this course with curiosity and I left it with even more! The teachers didn´t explain Yoga but created a room, where I could experience it myself. They are deeply inspiring teachers, sharing their wisdom through movement, meditation and awareness, leaving the rest for their students to discover, while listening, supporting and guiding with all their energy. I left this course feeling calm and full of energy at the same time, amazed and curious to learn more about nature and its elements. And without even noticing, this experience slowly moved me to a place inside myself, where I feel confident to teach and share yoga with the people around me."

  • Review by Ista from The Netherlands

"Sometimes I don’t know how to explain in words to people what I gained from the courses I did at Swara and how to explain what yoga in general means to me. But because I feel the urge to share this powerful wisdom, I try to find ways to make people around me experience some of that all. And that is exactly what the teachers do. During the yoga teacher training and therapy training, they let me experience the wisdom of my body and nature, showed me what is already there in me and how to connect to this. I could experience myself as a whole again and from there on; connecting with the world around me. Because they connect the experience of doing elemental yoga with more practical knowledge about yoga, food, the element system, daily life and the world we live in, it gives me the possibility to make aware choices in my life and relate to them. The teachers practice what they preach, are on the path with me, guiding, sharing all their knowledge. And although I always said I didn’t want to become a yoga teacher, I couldn’t help that I became one."

I think it was good to do it in a practical way and felt that I learned a lot by the way things were done. At the same time, I got the time to turn my gaze inwards and see my life in a new perspective. I feel that I have come closer to my true self and nature.Thank you, teachers for everything you have helped me to see and learn."

"This course came to me at the right time in my life. As someone who already had a connection to ritual life, I was truly moved as I learned to relate to mother nature and her elements on a much deeper level. I was expertly guided and supported all the way through my discoveries by these two extraordinary teachers. It is difficult to be more specific because words don't really describe the feelings that come with moving the elements into harmony with yourself. I am deeply touched by this course."

"I am a tea drinking salad eater that lived in the country over 10 years. I was having an adventure one day and stumbled across the attuning to the seasons retreat in Norway, July 2014. I am super thankful! Teachers are top notch quality, bright lights, good hearted, inspirational, humble, and kindred folks that graciously shared their lifetime of knowledge with an eclectic group of folks, young and old, yoga teachers and beginners. During this retreat, I actually felt the seasons changing with the food and with the yoga. It was wild and so much fun! I believe that what they shared with us is very important! I feel much more connected to mother nature. The teachers are encouraging folks that have truly inspired me, and I totally recommend taking a retreat with them! I am super excited to share this experience and great recipes with my friends and family. Thank you! Brightest wishes and happy trails."

"The teacher training changed something for me on a much deeper level than I had expected. I connected into my body in a way that I had never before, getting control over how and where to move deeper into my body. With this came stability and confidence in myself, giving me a deeper feeling of where to move towards in my life.I loved traveling the journey through the five elements inside myself and reflected in the beautiful group around me, as it made me understand a lot of things about myself and life itself. It was the perfect course for me, joining yoga and nature back together as I feel they are, deeply inside myself. I feel more whole now, light and stable at the same time, and very inspired to learn and experience more about yoga, the elements and the human body, and within all this, to learn more about myself. Thank you, for inviting and leading us on this beautiful journey."

I now have a new set of principles that not only align my life with nature but to also help me to support others in a transformative way. Magic! "I have completed three trainings with this form of elemental yoga, and each time, the course showed me how to connect even more deeply to the elements inside me. Teaching others how connecting to nature and the five elements can heal and transform deeply rooted issues and imbalances is simple when you know how to use this system."
