The host for this training will be the Aegialis hotel located right in front of Aegiali beach. Stunning views, services, and facilities are part of the experience at Aegialis. During the retreat, you will stay in the superior room with a private balcony and magnificent sea view.

Services at the hotel are porter service, 24-hour reception, free Wi-Fi access in the rooms and public areas, tablet rental, extra baby cot in the room, three choices of bed pillows, early breakfast service, express check out, take away breakfast service, laundry and ironing service, wake-up call service, valet parking, and evening housekeeping service.

Superior classic

This ocean view room has one king bed or one king bed and one single bed or one king bed and two single beds for one to four people. It is equipped with one full bathroom, a flat screen television, Wi-Fi, direct telephone line, air-conditioning, private balcony, fridge, coffee and tea facilities, kettle, hair dryer, safe box, bathrobes and pool towels, slippers, and bathtub.

Superior modern

This ocean view has one king or twin bed for two adults and one child up to 12 years old and an extra sofa bed. It is equipped with one bathroom with glass cabin shower, handmade furniture, 32-inch flat screen television, Wi-Fi, direct telephone line, air-conditioning, private balcony, hair dryer, safe box, fridge, coffee and tea facilities, kettle, glass cabin shower, bathrobes and pool towels, and slippers.

Sofia Araujo
Sofia is a yoga teacher, therapist, macrobiotic chef, and holistic health educator that shares a passion for healthy movement and living. She has been practicing yoga for the last 15 years and teaching internationally since 2006. Educated and certified in the styles of Sivananda, Ashtanga, Anusara, advanced Hatha yoga, and Vinyasa, she combines all her knowledge from yoga, bodywork, holistic health, and coaching to deliver an integral yoga education in all her trainings and courses.
Atira Tan
Atira has been immersed in various forms of yoga styles, including classical Hatha, Yin, Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Vinyasa Flow. However, it was not until her training in the Anusara style of yoga when her teaching style blossomed. She has over 1000 hours of education in yoga teacher training that she has attended all over the world and is certified in Anusara, Yin yoga, Tigress yoga, and embodied Flow. She is the founder and executive director of Art2Healing Project, a non-profit organization assisting sex-trafficked women and children globally.

Retreat location

The retreat will take place in Amorgos, Greece. Amorgos is a remarkably unspoiled island at the southeastern edge of the Cyclades group where traditional customs are still interwoven into a land space as rich in beauty as in its history and culture. This is a place that is untouched by time and will be the backdrop for a journey into feminine wisdom and leadership.

Daily breakfast and lunch or dinner are included in the prices. Breakfast is served on buffet daily from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. with organic ingredients from own biological gardens and fresh orange juice. Lunch from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. or dinner from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. daily is followed the principle of a vegetarian and vegan diet. Swara Yoga School will cater for vegan and vegetarian diets for the whole training with breakfast and dinner included in your package. The food for this training will be paid separately from the course tuition and directly to the hotel.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos (ATH), Santorini International Airport (JTR), Naxos Island National Airport (JNX). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request.

Arrival by bus

Express bus X96 leaves every 20 minutes during the day and every 40 minutes at night from Athens International Airport arrivals level between entrance four and five to Karaiskaki square in Piraeus, right outside the ferry port. The ticket cost 5 EUR. The trip takes about one hour and 15 minutes to one hour and a half.

Arrival by ferry / boat

From Athens to Amorgos

You should arrive one day earlier in Athens or book a flight arriving before 2 p.m. so that you will be at the port on time since most of the ferries to Amorgos leave at 5:30 p.m. There is one daily connection to Amorgos island except on Saturday during winter from Piraeus port. Ferries dock alternately at the two ports of Amorgos island, Katapola and Aegiali, which are closest to the hotel.

During summer season, from the middle of June until the middle of September, Amorgos ports can also be reached with high-speed vessels departing from Piraeus and Rafina ports. Vessels like Seajet Superjet and Hellenic Seaways deliver services to Amorgos during that period.

From Santorini to Amorgos

There are daily high-speed vessel connections to Amorgos during the summer season.

From Naxos to Amorgos

There is a daily connection to Amorgos on board the local ferry Express Scopelitis departing at 2 p.m. arriving at the port of Aegiali on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday and at Katapola port every day, except for Sunday. This trip can be considered as a mini cruise to the Small Cyclades island cluster including Iraklia, Schinousa, Koufonisi, and Donousa. The duration of the trip is four to five hours.

Every night at 11 p.m., the Blue Star Ferry departs from Naxos to Amorgos, to the port of Aegiali on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and to the port of Katapola on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday. The duration of the trip is two to three hours. The above connections are valid all year around, including winter period. From June to September, additional ferries and hydrofoils connect Amorgos with Piraeus, Santorini, Naxos, Paros, Mykonos, Rhodos, Milos, and more islands of the south Aegean.

From Mykonos to Amorgos

From the middle of June up to the middle of September, there are high-speed vessels, Seajet Superjet, running five times a week from Mykonos to Amorgos and back. The trip lasts approximately two to three hours.

Arrival by train

From Athens to Amorgos, the subway will take you from Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos (ATH) to Monastiraki station. There you will change to line one, the green line. The end of line one is Piraeus station, just outside the entrance to the ferry port. The journey time from Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos (ATH) to the port of Piraeus is about one hour. Trains are every half hour with the first service departing the airport at 5:30 a.m. and the last service at 11:30 p.m.

Arrival by taxi

From Athens to Amorgos, this is the most hassle-free way. The drive from Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos (ATH) to the port takes 45 to 60 minutes.
