At Suryalila Retreat Centre, they provide different levels of accommodation to suit every budget. From glamping in the olive grove to relaxing in the luxury of their deluxe doubles, they will ensure you have the experience of a lifetime. Their furnishings and decorations have all been handpicked from Bali, India, and Morocco. The Spanish farmhouse-style wooden ceilings with beams and the terracotta tiled floors blend harmoniously with the vibrant Asian furniture and wall hangings. The inspiring decor is both soothing to the soul and delightful to the eye.

They offer two of the most beautiful and spacious yoga halls in Europe, a dedicated massage room with skilled massage therapists, and many gorgeous communal spaces like the pool, dining, and living areas to just relax and hang out in. Yoga retreat facilities also include Wi-Fi, office supplies, and anything else you might need during your stay.

Saltwater pool and amenities

Relax around the refreshing saltwater pool as swallows swoop ahead, hang out in a hammock in one of their flower-framed pagodas, or enjoy a blissful massage with one of their highly skilled in-house masseurs.

Om Dome

It was always part of Vidya’s dream to create the most magnificent yoga hall in Europe. The breathtaking Om Dome is the realization of that dream. In the Om Dome, there is a massive bay window overlooking one of their best views of beautiful rolling hills and a ruined convent. The dome can hold 50 yogis very comfortably. It is also a perfect space for conferences and concerts. The dome has underfloor heating, air-conditioning, a state-of-the-art sound system, atmospheric lighting, and a full set of yoga props, including Manduka Pro mats, backjack chairs, bolsters, cork blocks, blankets, and straps.

Ganesha yoga shala

Ganesha yoga shala is upstairs in the main house. It is a beautiful yoga hall with a wood and beam ceiling and wood floors. It has windows on both sides which allow for plenty of light and airflow. There is a balcony attached to the shala with beautiful views, and there is also a small alcove that contains shelves to house the yoga props. They have plenty of mats, blankets, straps, blocks, sandbags, and eye pillows. There is also a mezzanine outside the shala with a couple of couches. This yoga hall holds up to 30 students comfortably.

Organic farm and garden

They produce their own olives and olive oil as well as many of their own fruits and veggies. Everything they grow is organic; no chemicals or fertilizers are used. They have many fruit trees including figs, peaches, pears, apricots, pomegranates, apples, and grapes. In the cooler months, they like to grow plenty of greens, including kale and different varieties of cabbage and lettuce. In summer, they have an abundance of heritage tomatoes. Their organic free-range eggs come from their own happy chickens. Since they are vegetarian, their birds have long and happy lives.

Spa treatments

At Suryalila Yoga Retreat Centre, they always have a highly trained and insured massage therapist in residence. Currently, the massage therapists are Cátia Garcia and Carolina Gast. Both are warm and caring and clients love their massages.

Type of massages

The types of massage therapy Cátia offers are Thai yoga massage and trigger point massage. Thai yoga massage is an ancient healing art with origins in Ayurvedic medicine, yoga, and Buddhism. It has evolved into a unique and magical combination of deep stretching, rhythmic compression, soft tissue manipulation, gentle rocking, energy balancing, and acupressure. The client is treated on a mattress on the floor whilst fully clothed. It is often called “lazy man’s yoga.”

Carolina Gast offers deep tissue massage, Ayurveda massage, and holistic massage using techniques to eliminate pain and muscular fatigue. The Ayurvedic massage is considered an integral part of traditional Indian medicine. Ayurveda means knowledge of life (mental, physical, and spiritual). It improves blood circulation eliminating toxins. These three treatments re-establish the balance of body, mind, vitality, and emotions allowing the patient to release tension and relax, leading to their physical well-being, the serenity of mind, and harmony. Carolina using oils, personalized for each individual.

The dedicated massage therapy room

They have a beautiful and peaceful dedicated massage room.
