On this weekend package, not only will you spend your days doing yoga, you will get the chance to learn surfing and stand up paddle boarding from experienced and qualified yoga and surf instructors. You also get to enjoy relaxing on the beach, eating wholesome vegetarian meals and exploring the coast of Durban. Just the right mix of relaxation and adventure to ensure that you get the most out of your time spent at this blissful retreat.

    Lauren will conduct the yoga classes and she will be coordinating the schedule, accommodation, and meals etc. She has earned her 200-hour yoga teaching training certification from the International Yoga Federation. Lauren Crichton has now achieved her 500-hour advanced yoga teacher training qualification through Yoga Alliance.

    He is SurfSups surf instructor. He has been teaching at the Roxy Learn to Surf Camp in Durban for many years.

    Brandon is a qualified SUP instructor and has been giving SUP lessons for many years.

Situated on the east coast of South Africa just north of the vibrant Port City of Durban, Umhlanga faces the warm waters of the Indian Ocean and has the best South African accommodation, with superb holiday apartments, luxury hotels, lodges and B&B's. It also has up-market Office Parks and first world Shopping Centre.

The golden sandy beach stretch northwards for more than 200 kilometers, all the way to the spectacular Isimangaliso Wetland Park, a world heritage site. Inland from Umhlanga, endless fields of sugarcane give way to the undulating landscape of the Valley of 1000 Hills, the massive Inanda Dam and the mystical hidden valleys of Zululand.

It is really accessible (no need to be an athlete), you can go alone or in group (so even solo-travellers shouldn't be put of) and spending all this time at the great Durban sea will calm anyone. No need to worry if the weather doesn't allow you to surf on a day, there are plenty more things that can be done (bike, durbantour,...)I was a complete novice to all three of the sports offered, so it was a big unknown for me as I entered the retreat. I must say that I found all three sports very easy to get into and found it great to learn in such a short period of time. My goal when I came to this retreat was to get some me-time and learn new things. The retreat definitely provided that. I found the combination of grouptime and me time very good. Lauren is a very nice, enthusiastic, empathic teacher who genuinely cares about the retreat-experience for the participants. The hightlight for me was finding me alone a sup-board in the sea - just me and the sea :-)"
