Seasonal information

Expect sunshine year round, but cold evenings from October through to March. Warm water lasts through November, but you will need at least a 3/2 wetsuit through to March or April. With summer water temps, you can surf in shorts. If youre used to warmer waters, a 2mm shortie will keep you more than warm.

The best surf is during the winter when the big swells roll in. This is not to say that the summer is a barren spell. The beauty of the region is that so long as there are some 5ft swells hitting the buoys, somewhere will be working. This being said, it is definitely advisable to hit the winter waves if you want to see the big overheads you see in the videos.

Mobile communication info

  • They have high-speed wi-fi broadband internet throughout their accommodation.

Dressing information

Morocco is one of the most tolerant Muslim countries out there. Read a guide book from ten years ago and you will be told to dress head to toe with nothing showing. This is not the case anymore. Agadir is a European tourist destination and the locals will not be shocked by much. However, they request their clients to respect local customs.

Special menu request

  • Please let Surf Berbere know of any food allergies or special dietary requirements and they will ensure that you are well catered for.

  • Review by a traveler from London, United Kingdom

"I had the most wonderful time, honestly couldn’t fault it. The accommodation was fantastic, the food was delicious and the location was so special. One of the few places I have ever stayed where the photos don't do the location justice (and the photos are pretty stunning). The yoga was fantastic and the surf instructing was the best I've ever had. I've been surfing for several years but made progression I'd never made before. Above all, the staff absolutely made it, constantly making sure my food allergies were catered for and that I was having a good time. All of them always had a smile and made the trip a really special one. It’s always a challenge when you’re traveling on your own to feel at ease, but it was impossible not to with these guys around. I’m now just basically counting down until I can come back!"

"Great accommodation, fun hands-on surf lessons, fantastic coordination by the hosts and just an all around great holiday. I stayed in the penthouse suite and there is nothing better than falling asleep with a view (and the sounds!) of the ocean. Can't wait to come back!"

"My boyfriend and I booked up for the surfing and yoga package. The initial help and recommendations given on organizing our holiday were excellent, instant and very reassuring. The staff, accommodation, lessons and food were all fantastic. We had such a great holiday! I would recommend Surf Berbere 100% to anyone looking for a more exotic holiday. I consider myself to be fussy but I couldn't fault anything. We were lucky enough to have a really great bunch of people to share our adventure with as well. I really hope that I can join them again soon. "
