Program

This retreat is for all levels of all ages. If you love yoga, the outdoors, sailing adventures, and traveling, this retreat is for you!

Day 1: Airport Arrivals and Transfers to Hotel

Upon your arrival in Croatia, you will be transferred to your hotel in Split. You will be staying overnight in Split on your first and last evening of this trip at a small family-owned boutique hotel in the heart of Diocletian's palace! Split is a UNESCO world heritage site built in the 4th century and the second-largest city in Croatia.

Split is a great place to experience the Croatian lifestyle first hand. You will enjoy a welcome gathering and discuss the retreat agenda over dinner at a local restaurant in the heart of old town and say zivoli (cheers) to a great week ahead and new friends!

After dinner, you are free to enjoy an evening stroll around the old town and visit its pubs. Find out what is your favorite Croatian wine, beer, or ice-cream. Tomorrow, you begin your sailing expedition!

Day 2: Set sail for Hvar Island

After breakfast at the hotel, the group will set sail for Hvar island, a well-known Adriatic gem! You will explore its amazing shorelines and Pakleni islands archipelago. Once a Greek colony, today Hvar is a famous Mediterranean tourist spot known for its culture, food, wine, adventure, and nightlife.

Mid-day you will anchor up near the Pakleni islands, enjoy lunch at sea, and paddle over to Palmizana island and marvel over the crystal blue waters and breathtaking scenery. This island is well known by many famous celebrities who visit regularly because of its privacy and the unique opportunity to stop at a local bar while at sea.

Some celebrities that frequent this island are Beyonce, Tom Cruise, Oprah, Bill Gates, and Prince Henry. Later that afternoon, you will take a taxi boat ride into old town Hvar for exploration and some local cuisine and wine. Explore the quaint cobblestone streets, walk to the fortress Fortica Spanjola, built in the 16th century, or enjoy the bustling nightlife.

Day 3: Sailing to Vis Island

The group will set sail to Vis, one of the least populated and most beautiful islands in the Adriatic! Vis is an island known for their wine and is home to many local vineyards which you will pay a visit to. To the Vis people, wine is a focal point of life or as the Romans used to say “vinum deficit omnia deficit” (no wine, no nothing)! Vis is also famous for their beaches, the filming of Mama Mia 2 and is a world class yachting destination.

Upon arrival to Vis town, you will get your bodies moving. Grab your bicycle as you make your journey to the village of Komiza, stopping along the way to take in some epic views and visiting vineyards along the way to taste some local vino. Enjoy exploring the picturesque village of Komiza and choose a place to have lunch before your return to Vis town.

After returning to Vis town, enjoy walking the promenade along the bay. You are free to enjoy dinner on your own this evening either in Vis town or go on a vineyard trip, Konoba Magic, and experience an authentic traditional Croatian dinner!

Day 4: Stiniva Bay and Blue Cave, Vis Island

After breakfast, the group will sail over to Stiniva Bay, voted number one beach in Europe in 2016! Its inaccessibility is part of its allure. The beach itself can only be reached by hiking down a steep and narrow path or by boat, and only those vessels small enough to pass through a gap of a few meters in the cliffs can reach it.

It is truly a spectacular site to see and experience! You will enter the cove via paddle-board and enjoy an epic SUP yoga class surrounded by the Romanesque rocky amphitheater-like cliffside that surrounds the cove. Believe it or not, even in this secluded bay you can order your favorite cocktail or snack at the cafe bar.

Swim, SUP, relax on the beach, or hike to the top of Stiniva hill for an epic picture of the bay. Your journey onward takes you to the blue cave, one of the most unique natural phenomena in the world! The blue cave will be a highlight of your week.

With its silvery-blue color, created by light refraction of sunlight entering through a crack in the stone, it leaves nobody indifferent. It wasn’t until recently that the cave was open to the public and it has been a must-see location ever since! This evening, the group will anchor in Milna bay.

Day 5: Sailing to Hvar and Brac Islands, Visit BOL

This morning, after breakfast on board, the group will head toward Stari Grad, a secluded harbor town on the northern side of Hvar island. You will explore, on foot, its narrow streets and visit Stari Grad plain, a UNESCO protected cultured landscape, cultivated from Greek and Roman times until today. Enjoy paddle-boating around the bay before you set sail to Bol town on Brac Island.

Bol is situated on the southern part of the island Brac and is the oldest town on its coast. This little town was founded long ago and became an extraordinary tourist oasis because of the wide gravel and sandy beaches which expands over 10 kilometers.

You will be amazed by Zlatni Rat, “the golden cape,” certainly one of the most beautiful beaches on the Adriatic sea, whose cape is turning one moment to one side and the other moment to the other side playing a strange game with the wind and the waves. Enjoy your time relaxing on the beach or paddle-boarding around the bay and optional SUP yoga class in Zlatni Rat bliss!

Day 6: Hiking Brac Island, Sail to Solta Island

Brač Island is the ideal destination for cycling and hiking. You will cycle to Vidova Gora, the highest elevation point between all Adriatic islands with a beautiful view of all Dalmatian islands. Upon your descent, near the coast and inland, there is very interesting heritage including many secrets.

You will hike up to the Blaca monastery hidden deep in the hillside. It will leave an imprint on your heart forever. The group will sail in the afternoon towards Solta and overnight in one of Solta’s secluded beautiful bay.

Day 7: Return to Split, Zipline in Omis

The adrenalin zip-line polygon is located in the Cetina river canyon in the town of Omis. Omis is a small old town surrounded by dramatic mountainous landscape along the Adriatic coast. The zip-line consists of eight steel cables which zigzag across the canyon with the longest zip line 700 meters and 150 meters above ground. This ride will surely take your breath away!

This activity is really worthwhile and a “you only live once” experience. In the afternoon, you will drive back to Split, check in your hotel and get ready for your farewell dinner at Mas Vin Konoba for a very local experience which will include wine and olive oil tasting, a traditional Croatian peak dinner, and tour of the vineyard with more wine tasting.

Day 8: Departures

Enjoy one last breakfast in old town Split and say your goodbyes before departing back. Scheduled transfers will take you back to the airport for your departure. Bon voyage and safe travels! Yolo!

Please plan to arrive on August 31. Most international flights will arrive in the morning or before noon. Check-in at the hotel is at 3 p.m., however, you may leave your bags with the bellman and enjoy the Old Town until check-in.
