This 200­-hour Yoga Teacher Training Course at Agama Yoga empowers you with the physical and mental tools to teach a complete Hatha yoga system, structured to suit the way modern yoga classes are commonly held worldwide. Upon completion of the course, you will be empowered to instruct classes that simultaneously balance the Yang (dynamism) and Yin (restorative) aspects of being.

Experience the spectacular sunsets from the west coast of the tropical island Koh Phangan! The Sunset Hill Resort has an unique hillside location above the unspoiled beaches of Haad Yao and Haad Chao Phao which provide unrivaled views of the gulf of Thailand, Angthong National Marine Park, and Koh Samui. The spacious apartments also have large terraces with amazing sea or garden views so you can both live outdoors and indoors.

The resort has several excellent communal facilities like the infinity swimming pool, landscaped gardens, massage sala, and seaview lounge / bar, all taking advantage of the resort’s breathtaking panoramic sunset, sea, and island views. The lounge provides guests with a selection of wines, snacks, and coffees offered by their very welcoming service team who are also available to arrange everything from scooters, taxi, travel services, diving courses, tours, to island exploring advice. They also provide a shuttle service to the Haad Yao and Haad Chao Phao beaches for their guests.

Week 1 and 2

Participants will attend:

  • All level 1 classes
  • Extra-curricular and off-site activities

Daily schedule (Monday – Saturday)

  • 08:30 – 10:30 Morning lecture and Hatha yoga with the first month intensive course
  • 16:00 – 18:00 Sun salutations and Hatha yoga with the first month intensive course
  • 18:00 – 20:00 Evening lecture with the first month intensive course
  • 20:00 – 22:00 Free of charge activities on campus

Week 3 and 4- Teacher training course

Participants will attend:

  • All morning Level 1 classes
  • A daily, late-morning TTC-focused workshop
  • A daily, late-afternoon TTC-focused lecture and / or Hatha yoga class,
  • Evening lectures, focused on specific yogic topics
  • Extra-curricular, off-site activities

Week 3 and 4 (Monday - Saturday for TTC students only)

  • 08:30 – 10:30 Morning lecture and Hatha yoga together with first month intensive course
  • 10:30 – 10:50 Break
  • 10:50 – 12:50 Additional TTC teachings: asanas, techniques and theory
  • 16:00 – 18:00 Sun salutations and Hatha yoga.
  • 18:00 – 20:00 Evening lecture together with the first month intensive course
  • 20:00 – 22:00 Free of charge activities on campus

Week 5

Participants will attend:

  • 1 additional week of TTC-focused workshops and practical exams, dedicated to deepening into teaching-intensive instruction.
  • Extra-curricular, off-site activities

Week 5 (Monday - Saturday for TTC-students only)

  • 08:00 – 08:30 Guided morning meditation
  • 08:30 – 11:30 Lecture, personal interviews with Swami and Muktananda
  • 14:30 – 19:00 Practicum and feedback sessions
  • 20:00 – 22:00 Free of charge activities on campus

For TTC-students, some days, the TTC students will do sun salutations and Hatha yoga together with the first month intensive course, and some days they will have separate additional TTC teachings like asanas, techniques and theory.

    The founder and director of Agama Yoga. Swami is the brilliant exponent of a unique and modern trend of thinking in yoga. He is a passionate and dedicated teacher of the true, ancient lines of Indian and Tibetan Yoga.

  • Dr. Mihaiela Pentiuc

    Always passionate about learning in general and human nature in particular, Dr. Mihaiela Pentiuc continued her medical studies and started practicing in the alternative and traditional therapeutic domains. Of her inner and outer explorations and out of all life lessons Mihaiela chooses as her most dear discoveries the insights about the deep secrets of our Heart and the privileged conditions produced by the serene touch of love.

You will be staying in the serene northwest on the island of Koh Phangan, Thailand where the yoga course will be held only 2 kilometers away from this hotel.

The accommodation has an on-site restaurant, but there are also many other restaurants between Sunset Hill and Agama. You will find everything to suit your dietary needs either vegetarian, vegan, glutton free, and macrobiotics.

Arrive at Samui International Airport (USM).

Arrival by train

There are combined train-bus-boat tickets from Bangkok Hualamphong railway station or Sai Thai southern bus terminal. Once you arrive at Koh Phangan there are a lot of relatively cheap songthaew taxis to take you to Sunset Hill.

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
