A good location from which it was easy to visit the various destinations. The room was basic and relatively clean, but a little worn. Breakfast and the pool were excellent. Great view! Very friendly and helpful staff.

If you don't have a motorbike, climbing the hill may become a little workout, but otherwise you wouldn't get these amazing sunset views, right? :) the bathroom was a bit too dark, except that I liked everything about this hotel, and especially very helpful staff.
We stayed for 3 nights at Sunset hill and it was a mostly positive experience. The room was beautiful, with a very comfortable bed. The AC worked also great and the wifi was pretty reliable. Our hot water wasn't working the first night, and after talking to them it was fixed the next day. But it was spotty after that. I think it might just need to replace the water heater, that was a small annoyance.
The pool is beautiful, and would probably be a nice spot to watch the sunset, but it was never clear enough to see it while we were there.
They don't offer beach towels. And that's a pretty big disappointment for sure a nice hotel, especially on a small island that has lots of beaches like Ko Phangan.
The breakfast was pretty good, but pricey and the restaurant did have good food for supper.
We booked a motorbike through them at it was a great way to see the island. The location of the hotel is nice as its a short drive to a number of beaches and restaurants. The hotel is located up a large hill, so walking isn't that practical. But they do offer a shuttle every hour to a couple beaches, which is nice.
One great thing about the resort is that they offer free water at a number of water coolers around the resort. It made it very easy to fill our water bottles for the day away from the resort.
Would stay again, but recommend getting a motorbike to get around and for them to provide beach towels.
I researched my choice of stay in the Gulf quite thoroughly, considering whether we would stay in Ko Tao, Ko Samui or Ko Phangan. When I saw the view from the balcony of this hotel, I was sold, and I was not disappointed when I arrived. We stayed in R06, which has a lovely view of the sunset and the landscape below us. It was very relaxing, not crowded, and gave us the peace and tranquility that we were looking for.
The hotel arranged our transfer over to the hotel from the airport to their doorstep. We arrived in the evening, immediately fell in love with the infinity pool and went for a swim, then dined in their restaurant. The layout of the restaurant is lovely, with large windows opening to the amazing view. Part of the restaurant is tables, and a part where you can sit in traditional Thai style on the floor on mats and cushions. We tried this the last night we were there and it was very relaxing. A big hello to Annoury our waiter, he was very good to us.
The first morning that I was there, I went for a private yoga session on the beach with Fanny. It was a dream setting for the yoga practice. She also makes an excellent shake at the pool bar!
The infinity pool is as amazing as it looks in the photos. Very relaxing and I never found it really crowded. There are massage beds located close by. Even the shower where one cleans before the pool is set in a very nice setting, it is built into the rock overlooking the view.
Each morning we took a walk down the hill to go to the beaches located not far from the hotel. The hotel does have a shuttle for those who don't wish to walk.
Our room was ideal for our needs, it felt very luxurious. We had a kitchen, dining and living area with tv and dvd player, and two bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms. The closets were large with safety deposit boxes. Robes, slippers, hair dryer are provided. The main bedroom has a panoramic ceiling to floor windows. On the furnished balcony, there is also racks for drying clothes, which is very welcome. The bathroom was large, and the one note I would make is that there is no partition for the shower in the washroom, it is designed so that it blends with the bathroom - a very cool look, but it can require more towels for cleaning up after a shower so that water does not spread throughout the bathroom and is tracked into other rooms.
The front reception staff were excellent and I found them all very warm and helpful.Erika was very swift in her communication with us when we originally made our booking. Bee was very helpful with us in arranging our transportation back to the Koh Samui and always had a smile for us. It was hard to leave when we finally said goodbye. I would recommend this hotel highly to anyone.

My brother and I stayed for 5 nights and we had the most wonderful time! Staff were so helpful and attentive. The views were wonderful and we were within walking distance of many shops, restaurants and beaches. Staff were very helpful when it came to booking scooters, day trips and exploring the island. I'd recommend to anyone and would absolutely come back in a heartbeat!
