This retreat is designed for yoga divers who do not have a license and would like to obtain a PADI Open Water or PADI Scuba Diver certificate in small groups. Your daily yoga class will emphasize on improving your breathing techniques, which will properly prepare you for the sport element of diving.
The Bedouin Moon Hotel Dahab Egypt lies just north of Dahab Bay in a stunning location where the Sinai Mountains seem to kiss the Red Sea. If you are looking for somewhere with a relaxed and friendly setting with delicious food and great service, the Bedouin Moon Hotel will take you there.
You can watch the lazy, wind-ruffled waves lap the shore from any of our sea-view rooms or from the front terrace, where a buffet breakfast (lunch and dinner too if you wish) are served. On a clear day, and frankly in Dahab, it’s seldom anything but - you can see Saudi Arabia just across the Red Sea.
At the Bedouin Moon Hotel all rooms are en-suite, with full control air conditioning and boast unrivalled Red Sea views across the Gulf of Aqaba or inspiring mountain landscape views. We have also upgraded all rooms recently and the new superior rooms boast larger bathrooms, larger private terraces and have been decorated with local fabrics and artwork.
The Bedouin Moon Hotel hosts a relaxed, comfortable feel and among other facilities you will find our stunning secluded swimming pool surrounded by colorful desert gardens, where you can sit back, relax, have a drink and enjoy the best views in Dahab. Free wireless internet is available throughout the Bedouin Moon Hotel.
Our sea view rooms sit just 30 meters from the beach with totally unrestricted views over the Red Sea to the mountains of Saudi Arabia that lie across the water. All rooms feature en-suite bathrooms, fridges, air-conditioning, complimentary Wi-Fi and a private balcony or terrace. Rooms are cleaned and serviced daily and a duty manager is at hand to help you with any requirements.
As you lie in your bed in our Sea View rooms the sound of waves stroking the shore will be your goodnight lullaby and your soothing wake up call. Our mountain view rooms all have private balconies and overlook our colorful desert gardens that sweep up to the backdrop of a spectacular mountain and sheer sandstone cliff. The mountain represents the Sinai’s last stand as the desert dramatically gives way to the cool deep waters of the Red Sea. At night its timeless stone, gently illuminated, gives the impression that it’s patiently watching over you.
The recently refurbished mountain view rooms all offer views of the hotel mountain and hotel gardens. Each features an en-suite bathroom, private terrace or balcony, air-conditioning and complimentary Wi-Fi connection. They also feature air-conditioning, a fridge, a bathroom with a shower, a baby bed available free of charge, and a balcony or terrace with mountain and garden view. Some rooms even have a partial sea view.
Each day begins with an 8 am yoga class to teach you to breathe properly and prepare you for the sport element of diving. Your diving instruction begins where the yoga leaves off with very gentle introduction to equipment and breathing underwater on your first dive.
As a beginner you will dive in shallow, easy locations while still surrounded by the beauty of undersea life; no swimming pool work is necessary as tuition is either one to one or in a very small group with your instructor.
Relaxation and safety are the goals of your diving, and skills are taught at your own pace in a relaxed manner. Divers enter and exit the sea from the shore, walking onto a shallow sandy bottom before venturing out to the reef.
Our PADI Dive courses in Dahab are tailored to the individual to give you a safe, relaxed and enjoyable experience. We have an exceptional reputation for Divemaster training, offering you the opportunity of an internship, leading to a qualification allowing you to seek work world-wide. We have thousands of happy divers out there, all trained by the Reef 2000 team.
Many are happy to just blow a few bubbles on holiday and a good few are climbing the PADI ladder and are going for all PADI dive courses in Dahab. Beginners who would like certification are encouraged to preview the PADI Open Water manual before coming and bring the book with them or purchase the book from the Reef 2000 dive counter.
On your day off you can visit the famous Mount Moses and/or visit St Katherine’s Monastery. You can also go to snorkel at Ras Abu Galum, a small Bedouin village one hour north of Dahab up the coastline. The Bedouins live there as they have done for centuries and it is still without electricity.
There is a wonderful snorkeling spot there and you can stay the night there hosted by Bedouin. There is still plenty of time for additional activities which include diving, snorkeling, camel or horse riding, desert dinner/meditation, trekking, mountaineering and wind/kite surfing.
We often have the opportunity to go on a mini safari to the Three Pools diving & snorkelling site, where we will practice our morning yoga session by the seashore. Later you will be delighted by a Bedouin breakfast, after which you can then dive. The Three Pools is named due to the natural formation of coral pools, each connecting to the other.
Dahab is one of the Red Sea’s oldest diving resorts and hosts some of the most spectacular and challenging dive sites in Egypt. It is now just as popular as a budget holiday resort destination for those who simply want to relax and get some sun, however with camels safaris, snorkeling trips, and desert excursions to name a few days out, there’s plenty to keep you occupied too.
Named after the Arabic word for gold, Dahab borders the Gulf of Aqaba, and is an hour’s drive through spectacular desert from the airport in the more commercial resort of Sharm el-Sheikh or a 90-minute drive from Taba airport. But the vibe in Dahab is very different. The village is a small, vibrant mix of cultures populated with white-robed Bedouin and their brightly adorned camels, the women swathed in black and the children, multicolored and mischievous, are always ready to strike up a deal for a bracelet or two.
Egyptian traders and shopkeepers sell their crafts, food and wares to the growing number of holiday-makers who are enjoying Dahab’s friendly, personal vibe. The bars and cafes almost hover over the water of the bay, where there are plenty of places to eat and relax after a day at play round the pool or in the sea. I you feel like a party, there are a few lively bars in town worth a visit that can keep you up all night.
During the week guests are invited to join an optional Desert Dinner, where you can meditate in a silence incomparable to any other. Watch for shooting stars in a sky with a million and have dinner cooked by local Bedouin in traditional style. People are so struck they never want to leave.
For your day-to-day meals, our international menu offers a delicious array of food that can be enjoyed in the restaurant or the pool bar. The group also generally goes out for dinner together a couple of evenings in the week to one of Dahab's many restaurants.
Wind-and kite-surfing, desert trekking, boat and camel safaris can be arranged through the diving center and other desert activities such as horse riding, quad biking and even rock climbing are available on request.
