Rejuvenating Yoga Healing Retreat in Spain

Feeling good in your skin from the inside out is the essence of vibrant health! The meditation, yoga, healthy vegan food enhanced with superfoods and the beautiful natural environment will empower you to get more strong and healthy in your body and calmer in your mind. The yoga and excursions are each days in alignment with the chakras, making this retreat a powerful inner journey as well. It will help you to ground yourself, be in your flow, feel your inner strength and power, connect with your heart, express your authentic voice and reconnect with your inner wisdom and guidance.

The retreat venue where we stay in three hectares of exotic gardens looks out to the soft folds of the wonderful Alpujarra mountains that lie south of the city of Granada and surround this place of peace. The morning yoga class takes place on the roof of the house under a beautiful pergola and the class begins with mantra singing accompanied by harmonium or guitar playing.

Afternoon yoga takes place in the garden under 500-year old olive trees and you can find yourself really sinking into complete stillness and relaxation embraced by the magic of the Alpujarras. All the rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean and are ensuite.

The vegan raw and superfoods are healthy nutritious, delicious, nourishing and exciting, you can feel its restorative qualities and the zing of its colors in the first mouthfuls. On top of all this, you can also enjoy holistic massages, excursions to the waterfalls or a sunset at the beach.

You will be staying 9 days together in a retreat center called La Canada. The place is very spacious with beautiful views and set in lush exotic gardens with a big beautiful swimming pool.

It’s just a 20 minutes stroll to the village ‘Orgiva’ where there are some nice art, clothes and health shops.

Situated in the gardens there are some cottages with each their own terrace, looking out on ancient olive trees. The main house, with the kitchen and the dining room, has several single and double rooms to choose from with beautiful views of the mountains all around.



Each day the yoga and meditations are dedicated to the chakra system, starting with the base. Afternoons include workshops on food preparations, optional therapy sessions, walks, outings, or other creative activities. Evenings can include mantra singing, discussions, inspirational films, and documentaries. Nourish yourself from the inside out with high vibrational raw and superfoods, inspiring yoga sessions and meditation in nature on a daily basis for mental clarity, energy, and beauty.

Day 1

This will be the arrival day. The program starts at 17:00 with a juice and a sharing circle. At 19:00 you will have dinner and at 20:00 a "getting to know each other" sharing circle.

Day 2

  • First base chakra day. You will tune in with the earth element through re-connecting with nature and making a beautiful walk in the surrounding area. Start the day with lemon water and herbal tea at 08:00.

Day 3

  • Swadhistana second chakra day. You will tune in with the water element by going to the river, a waterfall, or the sea in the surrounding area. Hydrating and cleansing your body by drinking lots of fresh spring water and fresh juices.

Day 4

  • Manipura third chakra day. You will tune in with the fire element and will have a fire ceremony to let go of that which no longer serves you. You will work with ways to heat up the body and get our inner fire and digestive system going

Day 5

  • Anahata fourth chakra day. You will tune in to the air element and will deepen our yoga practice with more pranayama breathing techniques. This day is all about opening your hearts.

  • 12:00 Time for a nurturing massage or a swim

Day 6

  • Vishuddi Throat Chakra day. The element here is space and you will sing more mantras, also into your yoga practice.

Day 7

  • Ajna sixth Chakra day, also called the third eye. Meditation and yoga are more meditative and you will connect and tune in to your inner guidance, wisdom and intuition. The element here is light and you will do a meditation with a candle and bring that light to our third eye.

SunFoodYoga dedicate each day to the energy of one of the chakras, starting with the base. You will be gently taken into a deepening practice of yoga postures, meditation, and pranayama. It does not matter if you are a beginner or an advanced student. They have small groups and so there is lots of personal attention. Everyone can get deeper into awareness of their body, breath, and being. Even when you have never done any yoga before then this is a great opportunity to get into a non-demanding practice at your own pace.

Indulge in an array of organic, raw, and (when desired also) cooked vegan meals. SunFoodYoga will show you that eating raw food can be a sensational culinary experience, that delights the palate and leaves you fully satisfied. You don't need much time or special equipment to be able to make delicious recipes, and we are going to show you how!

Healthy menus include delicious and nutritious protein-filled super-foods lovingly prepared. SunFoodYoga chefs will be sharing with you valuable tips and resources that enable you to take your SunFoodYoga experience home with you. Let’s get this straight right from the start. Plant-based food is simply delicious and you will not be able to even imagine what’s possible with just raw vegetables, fruits, and nuts.

Breakfast can be anything from almond milk with granola, banana pancakes to crackers with avocado and cashew cheese with a smoothie prepared with Superfoods.

Dinner times are always a joy for the senses, there’s always something fascinating to taste – and If you can’t eat or like certain things, no worries SunFoodYoga are happy to accommodate any of your food preferences. All food is gluten, sugar, and lactose-free at SunFoodYoga retreats, only delicious homemade raw food, using the freshest and organically grown ingredients.

Exotic fruits, like mangoes, papayas, figs, etc. can be taken throughout the day.

SunFoodYoga will create lots of delicious meals together including soup, sushi, lasagna, and desserts and you will then get to eat what you’ve created (yes, detailed recipes will be provided for you to take home).

SunFoodYoga have planned a few hands-on workshops with chef Amanda, Sam, and Pam where you're going to learn about Gourmet raw food cuisine drawing its influences from different cultures and traditions.

You’ll create a delicious meal including salads, tagines, and dessert – and you’ll then get to eat what you’ve created (yes, detailed recipes will be provided for you to take home along with a special surprise!!).
