Guests are situated in rooms within three semi-attached cottages, according to both preference and practical logistics. Cottage communal areas, including bathrooms, lounges, balconies, terraces, etc. are shared between guests and hosts alike, along with life stories and special moments. A spiritual, "shabby-chic", Dalmatian island farm-cottage ambiance prevails, and the atmosphere here is that of a supportive family of spiritually minded friends.

Earth and Fire cottage

This cottage features three single rooms with fans and space heaters, located on the upper floor of the main retreat cottage. Rooms one and three offer a single bed and room two comes complete with a double bed, perfect for individuals who require a larger mattress size. A spacious house bathroom located on the ground floor (up to three guests sharing) is reserved for residential guests only. The ground floor also features the main retreat living and dining area, which is open to all retreat participants until 10 p.m. The enclosed garden, with dining and lounge areas, is located here as well as the outdoor yoga terrace.

Ether cottage

These elegant and beautiful, newly-built attic rooms come equipped with private, en-suite bathrooms and en-suite air-conditioning or heating. Room six - "mini suite"- features a double bed, or a convertible single-double bed and an additional single cot when two friends are sharing the space. The "master suite" features two single beds that can be placed side by side for couples when needed.

Cottage residents share an indoor tea corner and outdoor terrace lounge and have easy access to the indoor yoga loft space with lounge corner and library.

Booking priority for the master suite is given to friends or couples traveling together, or solo travelers open to sharing with a new retreat mate, while the mini suite may be booked similarly, or as a single for those in need of extra privacy and comfort while on retreat during the yoga B&B events.

The mini suite may not be available during co-hosted events with visiting teachers while the master suite is only available for single occupancy booking when all other retreat rooms are fully booked!

Wind and Air cottage

This cottage features a romantically-furnished double room that comes complete with an adjacent bathroom, kitchenette and covered terrace with a view to the veggie garden. The cottage has air-conditioning and heating and is ideal for one or two persons. Room four can be fitted with a combination of beds - a beautiful metal-framed double, a double with one twin (or) two restored twin wooden beds. A baby cot fits nicely beside the bed, too, for yogi families traveling with young children.

Booking priority is generally given to friends, couples or family members traveling together on retreat, but it may also be booked by solo travelers open to sharing with a new retreat mate. The room may also be booked as an individually priced luxury single room with private bathroom for those in need of extra privacy while on retreat.

Shared facilities

In addition to the outdoor yoga terrace and a newly built indoor practice area, other shared facilities include the main living room and indoor dining area, an enclosed garden with outdoor dining area, as well as several other patios, decks, balconies in which guests enjoy socializing in with new retreat friends. Each cottage also features a tea-making corner, where you can prepare fresh herbal infusions using freshly picked ingredients from the garden.

Guests may borrow inspiring books, magazines, music, and DVDs from the retreat library provided they are treated with care, and washing machines are available on a pay-per-load basis.

Though "switching off" is encouraged as much as possible during retreat time, there is also limited Wi-Fi access available in some areas of the retreat property. Please inquire upon booking if you are in need of internet access during your stay.

Suncokret is hosting a festival of co-hosted special events with visiting teachers this summer from June, 11 to September, 23.

What is the Suncokret Integrated Holistic Yoga Lifestyle Program?

The Integrated Holistic Yoga Lifestyle Program (IHYLP) will introduce you to various yoga teachings and related body-mind-spirit practices that support your retreat journey and your life on many levels.

The program was originally conceptualized by retreat co-founder and holistic program director, Evening Marie, who currently leads the five-night yoga B & B program. During this six-night annual summer yoga festival, the IHYLP is further expanded upon by the specialized and inspirational teaching contributions of esteemed co-hosting events teachers that will lead the workshops during the summer retreats.

The program sessions are generally divided into two parts daily: morning yoga Sadhana and, in summer months, either an afternoon or an evening workshop session that is focused on a particular theme.

Morning Sadhana

Sadhana is a daily spiritual practice that includes a balancing blend of techniques to help you tune into yourself, the intentions you have for your life and for the day ahead. Chanting, pranayama, meditation, asanas (postures), and deep relaxation are traditionally included in this process.

The purpose of Sadhana is to enable you to start your day in a sacred, disciplined, and focused way. These sessions generally last between 90 and 120 minutes during summer events. They will awaken you profoundly; aligning you to your body, mind, and spirit while preparing you to greet life's daily adventures with a sense of peace and clarity.

Afternoon or evening program

These enriching, theme-based sessions are offered during co-hosted summer events, and may cover a range of topics related to holistic lifestyle management including yoga, meditation, food preparation, art therapy, dancing, chanting, healing work, etc. Topics are offered according to the weekly theme being presented by the co-hosting teacher, and adjusted according to the level and wishes of the group participants.

The purpose of these sessions is to highlight foundational yogic wisdom, as well as other holistic spiritual teachings and techniques, that help to systematically balance the body, mind, and spirit in a profound way. These sessions generally last between 30 and 90 minutes, depending on the topic being covered.

Please note that during co-hosted summer events, the morning and afternoon or evening sessions may be divided up according to what is most appropriate for the topic being explored together with the co-hosting teacher.

All gatherings take place in inspiring and sacred spaces; either on the outdoor terrace, beautiful indoor loft space, or in nature and by the sea, according to the program itinerary, the weather, and other considerations.

Themes and methods

Each week, the program interweaves a variety of themes and methods, including (but not limited to):

  • Satsang (open discussion with the teacher on a particular topic)
  • Overview and practice of the eight limbs of yoga: guidelines for yogic living (yama and niyama), science of breath control (pranayama), postures (asana), withdrawal of senses (pratyahara), concentration (dharana), meditation (dhyana), and integration (samadhi)
  • Introduction to various yoga styles and teachings
  • Mindfulness practices
  • Cosmic anatomy (chakras and sheaths of being)
  • Practice in Kriya, mudra, mantra, and meditation
  • Ayurveda and understanding doshas and gunas
  • Healing techniques from yoga therapy, Reiki, and other spiritual practices
  • Self-reflection through discussion, journaling, and silent reflection
  • Creative explorations for personal development, including photography, art therapy, voice-work, bodywork, dance, etc.
  • Holistic lifestyle and spiritual or personal life coaching

Summer program, part 1, co-hosted events with visiting teachers: June 10 - July 28, 2018

The art of mindfulness - cultivate deep inner awareness with yoga, art, and nature (From June 10 to 16)

Suncokret Dream warmly invites you to leave the modern pressures and stresses behind for a week of mindfulness through yoga, art, and nature connection.

Connect with yourself each morning through a gentle yoga Sadhana led by holistic yoga therapist, Evening Marie; the practice slowly awakens you from head to toe and brings awareness to the body, mind to breath.

As the breath leads you through a series of postures, you become more and more attuned to the present moment; connecting to your senses, which dictate your thoughts and feelings, and then relaxing into total presence before flowing onwards, moment by moment, breath after breath.

The practice concludes with relaxation followed by mindful meditation practices that progressively instill a peaceful and present state of being that will carry you throughout each day.

Afternoon art and nature sessions with Edina Husanovic will focus on soaking up the wonderful, restorative, and inspiring nature of the island of Hvar in the most direct way - through a drawing of its beautiful landscapes. In the four dedicated afternoon sessions of the retreat, the artist will invite the participants to engage in a series of drawing and walking activities designed to focus and calm the mind.

The retreat is aimed at beginners and more experienced participants alike. It is not aimed at testing the level of yoga or quality of the drawing, but rather on expanding the mindfulness of the activity.

Journey to the roots of yoga - explore yogic myths, language, and culture as tools to develop your practice and peace of mind (From June 17 to 23)

Yoga is one of those magnificent gifts to humankind that should be cherished and safely delivered to future generations. Not only does it help your body reach its potential, it also allows our consciousness to look itself in the mirror and breathe in peace.

This week, Suncokret Dream offers you the opportunity to explore the roots of Indian culture in which yoga flourished for millennia.

Each day you will enjoy our daily morning Integrated Yoga Sadhana reflective of the daily theme with Evening Marie, and afternoon explorations of the wisdom gathered from the Rig Veda, Mahabharata, and Ramayana, Sanskrit proverbs, and stories, led by Marijana Janjic.

The people of long ago, speakers of Sanskrit and other languages, have observed that focusing on nature and the world around helped them to make sense of their own lives. In following their footsteps, you will explore their ancient roots and interweave them with your own, in search of better understanding and a relaxed and peaceful consciousness.

Thus, while you discuss Sanskrit and Indian myths, proverbs and history, you are actually discussing the nature of language and life itself; you talk about the philosophy of looking at your environment and the connections you establish between sound, yourself and life.

This journey is beneficial for yogis and yoginis interested in understanding the roots of yoga and the yogic way of looking at the world. It is a rich and incredible discovery that helps one unearth the roots of personal beliefs that govern your daily lives. It is for those interested in journeying to meet Indian traditions and oneself. The program is balanced in a way to be suitable for those who do not know much about Indian tradition and those who have years of experience with yoga. The quest of life never ends.

Viva Shakti! - honor your femininity through yoga and belly dance (From June 24 to 30)

Celebrate the arrival of summer by immersing yourself in women's retreat where you will experience yoga and belly dancing as tools to honor, embrace and celebrate your divine femininity, or Shakti.

Throughout the week, you will explore yoga for women and address related issues such as body awareness and confidence, feminism, and goddess culture. You will address your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual qualities as women through the practices and discussions; evoking a celebratory spirit of honoring sacred femininity in a joyful and playful way within a safe, supportive and nurturing environment.

During the morning yoga sadhana, you will employ practices to address women’s needs on a physical and psycho-spiritual level. The yoga sessions will help you tune into the major feminine power centers, or chakras, including the sacral, heart and third eye, and will thus help balance our reproductive, glandular and circulatory systems and help awaken your creativity, receptiveness, and intuition. Powerful meditation practices that balance the female psyche will also be introduced daily.

In the belly dancing sessions, the participants will be invited to learn the basics of belly dancing and develop their body confidence, characteristic of this dance form that is inclusive of all body shapes. The classes will comprise a mixture of choreography and body toning exercises, as well as the theory that accompanies the practice, which comes from the artist’s original research.

You will learn about the history of this hybrid dance form that lies on the intersections between the East and the West, its connections to feminism and the Goddess Culture, and how belly dancers respond to many myths and stereotypes that accompany this dance.

Women of all backgrounds, shapes, and sizes keen on nurturing their femininity through women's yoga and belly dance. Many who practice belly dance and yoga have reported an increased sense of body confidence and the feeling of being comfortable in their own skin. We invite you to explore this joyful feeling in the safe and beautiful environment of Suncokret and Hvar.

Sat Dharma Yoga - find the courage to reveal yourself with yoga (From July 8 to 14)

During this inspiring yoga week led by Daniela Dippong, you will employ practical techniques and spiritual wisdom to help uncover your real potential. You will examine why you are here and what makes you happy through meditative contemplation.

You will discover your blocks and remove obstacles through self-awareness and pranayama. You will find the courage to express your uniqueness through playful approaches to Vinyasa yoga, Acro, and Partner yoga as well as chanting mantras and exploring Shakti dance.

Expressing your true self takes some courage; it means to come out of the corner to reveal yourself with all the beautiful gifts you have been given from the divine. It means looking at your deepest shadows and finding out what is standing in the way between you and your real life purpose.

It means having the courage to leave behind an old life, old patterns and old obligations, which you don't need any longer. It means stepping out into the unknown without knowing where the path will lead next.

It means discovering your soul-Atman and to getting connected to Brahman - the universal consciousness, which knows everything and guides the way to your real potential. Are you ready to fly high?

If you are looking to express yourself more authentically in any aspect of your life, engaging yoga as a tool for personal transformation, then this program is for you!

Divine yoga - connect to the goddess within (From July 15 to 21)

In this yoga retreat week, you reconnect to the goddess inside of you, the female power related to nature and your own unique beauty. In a male-dominated world, with long office hours, constant activity and stress, whether men or women, you feel the need to come back to the female part inside of you, your passiveness, your own inner flow of life.

During this yoga retreat week, you will connect to one aspect of goddess energy every day, according to the power she represents, and discover her strength, her beauty and evoke this power inside of you again. You will connect to your feminine nature, and reconnect with nature in the wonderful surroundings of the magical Island of Hvar and the peaceful calm found at Suncokret Retreat.

While, on the one hand, you shall be honoring the femininity inside of you by studying and practicing aspects of a goddess, you shall conversely also get connected to the male counterpart of the specific goddess you are working on in the various sessions and discover all they stand for. This is beneficial in helping to understand and reckon with the opposite qualities of those you are seeking to emulate through the Sadhana practice.

Many of us feel the need to unwind, calm down and get back to a more passive and less reactive life. No thoughts, no appointments, no to-dos that constantly prevent us from discovering who we really are. Tat Tvam Asi, or “ I am that ”, we are all divine and just need to find the way back to our source. Come join us on this incredible journey of discovery!

%Divine yoga is beneficial to both men and women who are interested in evoking feminine or Yin qualities to counterbalance the dominant Yang energy in their life, and discovering how these opposites may interact with and influence their own being.

Yoga and creativity - unleash your creative potential (From July 22 to 28)

Creativity is the greatest gift we have and it can unfold in many beautiful ways. As children we are naturally creative, we don`t use our head but rather our heart to perceive and interact with life. As adults, we mostly lose that gift, as we try to assess situations first with our head and only after do we let our heart speak, if at all.

It is as if we have lost the connection to who we really are, to our feelings and to our spiritual source. Many of us feel the calling to be creative and make it a larger part of our life again but we don’t always know where to start. Let this retreat week be the source of inspiration you have been waiting for that enables you to tune into the creative source within you!

During this event week led by Daniela Dippong, we will have the chance to reconnect to our creative power, to our intuition, to the natural flow of life through an inspiring set of yoga, meditation and pranayama practices, a powerful (optional) Reiki attunement process, and dedicated creativity workshop sessions.

We shall reconnect to our inner voice and to our inner vision, to colors, shapes and to the source of all creative power, our Soul. The inner child within us will become more and more courageous, more and more open towards all the beautiful possibilities to express itself freely and fully again.

We will once again become the creator of our world, the creator of our own path, of our own destiny, and get into the natural flow of our own being. This program is open to practitioners of all levels who are interested in exploring their creativity with Daniela!

Summer Program, Part 2: 6-Night Co-Hosted Events with Visiting Teachers: 12 August - 22 September 2018

Recharge and shine - open new doors to self, body and nature awareness with Yin Yoga and Zhineng Qigong (From August 12 to 18)

Experience aware breathing and inner space deepening during the Yin yoga asanas; enjoy the smooth Qigong movements that help awaken your whole spine, making it flexible and soft.

Learn to move your spine like a flying caterpillar, walk the centered and balanced walk of a crane, and breathe a nourishing and deep “Dantian breath”. Experience the transformational healing power of practicing with a compassionate, loving heart.

Yin Yoga classes give us time to feel and explore the inner environment of our body and mind. Through the practice of Yin Yoga we are given time to contemplate, breathe and feel the physical, energetic, and mental layers of our being. Mindfulness and healing imagery increase the harmonizing Yin effect.

The Zhineng Qigong sessions aim to relax your heart, mind, body and increase your self-awareness and the natural energy exchange between you and nature. By becoming aware of the energizing, opening effect of this practice, you will explore how to work with energy and consciousness.

Beginner to intermediate yogis, Qigongis, practitioners of other holistic methods and anyone open to trying something new are welcome!

Source-healing - walk the path of wholeness and heart connection with Zhineng Qigong and Yin yoga (From August 19 to 25)

Experience being pure consciousness, becoming an observer noticing everything; being aware of your thoughts, dreams, behaviors, and desires. Live the power of coherence, of aligning thoughts and feelings, and find the power to choose a new viewpoint.

During this event led by Anita Ilicic, you are invited to give yourself time to disconnect from the constant stimulation of the external environment and reunite with silence. Here you will connect with yourself and with the infinite sea of energy and potential that exists around and within.

%Throughout the event, we will explore intensive Zhineng Qigong, Yin Yoga and Meditation practices in this magical island environment to allow a deeper homecoming experience to arise. Beginner to intermediate yogis, Qigongis, practitioners of other holistic methods and anyone open to trying something new are welcome!

Core Vitality - develop strength, flexibility, balance, and fluidity with Zhineng Qigong, Taiji ball, and Yin yoga (From August 26 August to September 1)

You are warmly welcome to take a break away from busy everyday life and to join this special retreat for a week of well-being and vitality. This holistic program led by Anita Ilicic will introduce various effective, meditative and physical Zhineng Qigong, Taiji ball and Yin Yoga exercises and methods to help you bring relaxation and flexibility to the waist, hips, legs, shoulders, and spine.

The practice of Zhineng Qi Gong and Taiji ball can help you to improve your spine and core fluidity. It helps develop awareness of your center, also called the "Dantian" and your perception of the life force energy or "Qi" within your own body. Experience aware breathing and inner space deepening during the relaxing Yin yoga asanas; experience the benefits of slowing down and turning your attention inward. Let the mind, movement and energy merge into harmonious unity. Learn to move your qi, relax muscles and joints.

The combined practices can offer beautiful support to enhance your understanding of the energetic body and the holistic healing methods introduced.

Do you know that the spine is the central axis of our body through which the entire nervous system flows? As the vigorous root system and the juicy trunk of a tree nourish its branches and leaves, the main human energy store in the abdominal center and the energy flow in the spine supply all organs and the entire body with vital life energy. 80% of chronic diseases are due to a disturbed energy flow in the spine. So together, let's learn to love your core and spine to invite better health and vitality!

Beginner to intermediate yogis, Qigongis, practitioners of other holistic methods and anyone open to trying something new are welcome!

Moon Magic - explore practices that connect you to your feminine power and rekindle your connection to the moon (From September 9 to 15)

Join Bahareh Hosseini during this wholesome, new moon, end of summer event for a week of self-care, rejuvenation, nutrition, and adventure! Together we will explore practices that reconnect us as women to our feminine power, Shakti, and rekindle our intimate connection with the moon.

Shakti heals and transforms, it creates. Without this powerful force in balance, women may experience serious imbalances. We will use practices from Ayurveda, Chinese Medicine and Yoga to empower you to take care of your own healing and well being. We will mainly draw upon ancient Ayurveda wisdom as taught by Wise Earth School of Ayurveda as well as Chinese Medicine and Yoga self-care practices.

What you will learn and practice:

  • Learn to use specific yoga asanas in a Lunar Flow Sadhana - These practices are especially powerful in helping honor your feminine energy and help harmonize your reproductive hormones
  • Learn some basics of Ayurvedic asana and how to customize your yoga practice as a woman from an Ayurvedic perspective, to ensure the therapeutic effect and appropriateness of the practices you choose to maintain your health
  • Receive a mini health assessment - done in a group setting - based on Ayurveda and Chinese medicine that will show you where you need support and how you can use the skills incorporated into this retreat to promote your well being
  • Self-healing via cooking workshop: learn how to use healing spices in your food and learn how to prepare a few Ayurveda nutrition and health fortifying items such as Ghee and Kitchadi which are the two most basic but most nourishing foods in Ayurveda
  • Receive a mini acupuncture session - done in a group setting during Savasana

This program is suitable for yoginis of varying levels, including teachers, as it is aimed at enhancing your personal practice from an Ayurvedic perspective, and equipping you with a rich array of holistic self-care tools for addressing women’s health needs from Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine perspective.

Embodied Wellness - enhance your yoga and self-care practices with Ayurveda (From September 16 to 22)

We automatically assume that by engaging in yoga asanas and practices such as pranayama we are therapeutic and improving our health and well being, but it isn’t often the case without individual adjustments that suit our unique circumstances and constitution.

Cyclical and individual variances (seasonal, daily, etc.) are important to take into account, and an understanding of Ayurveda - yoga's sister science - and your own Ayurvedic "Dosha" is key in customizing your practices to support both physical and psycho-spiritual well being. By gaining a broader knowledge of Ayurveda and its applied practices, we can deeply enhance our yoga practice and self-healing process.

Come join Bahareh Hosseini for this wholesome retreat week where we will cover the basics of Ayurveda and self-care through a nourishing mix of Yoga Asanas, lectures and hands-on practices, and offer useful tips on how to personalize your practice to carry you through the autumn season and beyond.

What you will learn and practice

  • The 5 Elements and the Doshas: What is your body type (Dosha) and how to eat for your body type
  • Psychological aspects of our body constitutions including relationships and work
  • Daily self-care rituals appropriate for your body and according to seasons/climates, including self-massage techniques and meditation
  • Hands-on practice of making Ayurvedic Ghee
  • Receive a mini acupuncture/acupressure within a group
  • Ager (an ancient Greek plain) and beautiful beach getaway with option to stroll to nearby fisherman's village with impressive early-Croatian fortress and cathedral
  • Jelsa town and beaches
  • Morning yoga safari outing to surprise location followed by a mini tour and drop off in world-famous Hvar town where you can catch all the sights
  • Stari Grad town and beaches
  • Evening Marie

Working together with Evening Marie, you will discover a refreshing, spiritually enriching, and deeply profound retreat experience - one that blends tradition with intuition to render a transcendental journey that is appropriate for both new and seasoned path walkers alike. Marie is a highly qualified holistic yoga therapist with over 500 hours training and 13 years teaching practice running back to back weekly retreat events who is able to adapt to and challenge varying levels of experience.

  • Daniela Dippong

Daniela views working with students as the opportunity to learn and grow in the practice together. She sees herself inside each student and feels that her students bring her closer to her core and the patterns inside which are universally shared among all people. Her theme-inspired classes are influenced by a long-term Jivamukti-based Vinyasa yoga practice, but elements from the integrated approach to yoga therapy, Hatha, and Iyengar yoga also lend support to her teaching. Mantras, spirituality, and yoga philosophy are also integrated into her classes.

  • Bahareh Hosseini

Bahareh has been teaching and practicing yoga for over 10 years and her teaching has evolved to incorporate understanding of meridians as well as modern movement and biomechanic understanding. She has been teaching classes, workshops and programs for yoga practitioners and teachers internationally. She believes that you all can have a big impact on your own healing by exploring, learning, and incorporating practices and finding what works for you through experimentation.

  • Anita Ilicic

Nature, traveling, exploring, and discovering inner and outer space have always been important elements of Anita's life. After many years of practicing yoga and meditation, which have certainly touched her deeply, she found that she was still searching for something and felt there was so much more to discover. Her Zhineng Qigong journey started in spring 2010, when it helped her to quickly recover from a lower back problem. Qigong is a wonderful tool, which can help you to learn how to calm down, to relax on a deep level, be present in the moment, and accept and release attachments.

Suncokret welcomes you to retreat in the charming village of Dol Sveta Ana, a pristine 12th century hamlet discretely nestled into the verdant brush and pinewood forest which majestically rises above the island's oldest settlement, Stari Grad.

An Organic Oasis for the Soul

Dol Sveta Ana is often compared to Provence and Tuscany, with its sprawling vineyards, noble olive groves, fragrant lavender plantations, fertile fields, and charming stone cottages, so eloquently framed by the distant blue sea and open sky. The village is brought to life by the colorful sounds of friendly sun-kissed locals and their range of hearty farm animals going about their day-to-day lives. Located only minutes away from the island's major attractions, yet peacefully tucked away from bustling tourist towns, St. Ana provides an ideal escape from ordinary life to an extraordinary organic haven.

Villa surroundings and ambiance

The complex of semi-attached stone villas is nestled into a secluded corner of Dol, Sveta Ana. The retreat neighborhood remains un-populated much of the year, providing deep peace and tranquility for the guests. During summer months, however, the village tends to fill up with holidaymakers, including natives taking up residence in their ancestral summer cottages that have been in the family for generations. The atmosphere becomes a more vibrant one - a true immersion into authentic village lifestyle on Hvar.

Village offerings versus town conveniences

The village features two local restaurants and a local cafe with Wi-Fi access within walking distance from the retreat. There are no shops, banks or ATM's, post offices, etc., so please plan ahead, though there is plenty of pure nature with inviting footpaths to explore and unlimited supplies of fresh air to help you relax and disconnect from the stresses of city life. Enjoy it.

Getting around

For your convenience, as part of the foundational retreat program package, Suncokret Dream provides complimentary scheduled transport to and from various points of interest each day of the retreat week. Guests may opt to remain at the retreat for quiet time during the day instead and arrange their own transport needs.

The nearest town, Stari Grad, is located two kilometers from the retreat. The journey to Stari Grad takes about 40 minutes on foot, 10 to 15 minutes by bike, and only five minutes by scooter or car (rental options are available in Stari Grad).

Nearby places

  • Stari Grad, 2 kilometers - 40 minutes on foot

From Monday to Thursday, Suncokret Dream serves a beautiful brunch in the garden post-yoga practice. Brunch usually consists of fresh seasonal fruit, nuts, warm and cold cereals, fresh farm eggs, local bread or pastries, veggie and cheese spreads, yoghurt and milk, organic rice or almond milk, and, quite possibly, tasty left-overs from the previous night's dinner (they don't believe in letting precious quality food go to waste). On Friday morning, a picnic brunch is served on location after the yoga-safari Sadhana.

Dinner, served Monday to Thursday, usually consists of a soup and salad starter, followed by a main dish.

After the Saturday morning closing circle a self-service breakfast buffet is served in the garden, prior to the 10:45 a.m. check-out time, to ensure that you depart from the retreat well-nourished for your journey ahead.

Local tap water, mineral water, herbal tea and home-made organic cordials, when available, are provided with each meal. As a safe shelter from addictive substances, the policy is to not serve coffee, but you may bring your own emergency supply along, if necessary, or perhaps savor in an occasional cup of the local brew in the town cafes when the need or mood strikes.

Please state any dietary needs you might have at the time of booking.

The daily itinerary provides ample time to relax and explore each day. You are warmly invited to take advantage of the complimentary transfer service that takes you to and from a range of nearby towns and beaches where you can spend your day doing exactly what serves you best.

On Tuesday and Thursday, the yoga program is held at the magnificent beach locations you are brought to by free transfer in the morning, while on Monday and Wednesday the yoga program is held back at the retreat, making the latter ideal days in which to stay behind at the retreat for optional holistic treatments or workshops in case you are in need of pampering or holistic support.

For guests who are staying for two back to back event weeks, weekends are an ideal time to try a little island adventure. Suncokret Dream can help you to organize activities offered by local providers, including art therapy and painting classes, scuba diving, kayaking, wind surfing, free climbing, hiking, cycling, boat excursions, boat, scooter, or car rental.

During your retreat time at Suncokret, you may want to enhance your experience by adding on a range of holistic services that can be tailored to your unique needs. If you would like to address a specific well-being issue, or simply pamper yourself with an extra dose of TLC while on retreat, consider adding on one, or a combination of, the holistic therapies, life-empowerment workshops or organic spa treatments to make the most of your time.
