Sun Salute Retreats are so excited to have you join this transformative journey toward becoming a certified Vinyasa Yoga Teacher. Over the next three weeks, you’ll be immersed in 200 in-person hours of rich, hands-on training designed to help you grow with confidence, clarity, and purpose as a yoga teacher. You’ll have 3 days off during the course to explore, integrate what you’ve learned, and simply rest. Because yes—there’s a lot to learn in three weeks, but with the added home study and support, it becomes not only manageable, but deeply rewarding. This training is designed not just to teach you yoga—but to shape you into a thoughtful, adaptable, and authentic teacher who can hold space with skill and presence. Sun Salute Retreats can’t wait to see you grow.
The accommodations are located in the cute beach town of Torre De La Horadada. All the beach houses are within close walking distance to the center of town and to the beaches. Each house has a balcony from which you can drink your fresh juice and study your anatomy and your chakras.
There are also coffee shops and restaurants on the nearby beaches and in the surrounding areas.
You can choose single or double occupancy rooms depending on your preference. Wi-Fi access is also available. Please note that the accommodations can vary depending on your choice. Sun Salute Retreats is happy to send you updated photos of the room of your choice on request.
In this 200-hour YTT, you will explore the diverse teachings of the yoga tradition and delve into the profound knowledge that underlies its practices. This yoga instructor certification course presents an in-depth study of asana, yoga anatomy, and creative sequencing with a goal in mind, and you will also learn lots of hands-on adjustments.
During this 200-hour Vinyasa yoga teacher training, you will have a unique opportunity to experience the incredible breadth of yoga and develop your skills to present and instruct inspiring classes.
This yoga teacher training follows the Elevated Standards Certification, meaning that you will be taught 150 contact hours (in-person) by the lead teachers, who have years of experience, instead of only 60 contact hours following the old legacy standards. Plus, the elevated standards require the lead teacher to be an E-RYT 500 hours, not only an E-RYT 200 hours.
Courses can be divided into two or three parts. You'll have 200 hours in total to become a certified Vinyasa yoga teacher, plus three free days to explore the surrounding area.
Along with the intensive course, online learning guidance and interviews with Amanda Dee will be conducted before or after the course. The knowledge covered in this course is too extensive to be assimilated in just three weeks, giving students more time to absorb the material and improve their teaching skills.
You will also learn about the chakra system and its components, as well as the basics of teaching prenatal and Restorative yoga.
The duration of this training also includes the possibility of meals with a chef on-site and the opportunity to study with excellent professors who come from all parts of the world. This training is aimed at students who are looking for the in-depth study of yoga accompanied by a comfortable stay and an unforgettable experience.
Design intelligent, creative Vinyasa sequences that are both safe and inspiring
Use clear, accessible verbal cueing to guide your students with precision and care
Adapt your teaching to suit all bodies and abilities, from beginner to advanced
Build classes that feel purposeful and inclusive for everyone in the room
To support your learning and make the experience more sustainable, you’ll also receive guided home study and online mentorship meetings with Amanda Dee, either before or after the in-person training. This flexible support ensures you're well-prepared and feel confident, no matter where you're starting from.
Sun Salute Retreats requires that you have at least one year of background with yoga, dance, or bodywork before the beginning of the training and that you complete a bunch of homework before arrival, to get everyone up to a similar level in anatomy and biomechanics, plus to give you a foundational understanding of the philosophy of yoga.
This will also help you to follow the course more easily while you are there in Spain. The homework can be done in your own time from the comfort of your own home. You will just need a Wi-Fi connection. It consists of online classes and workshops, reading, studying the poses, and practicing teaching.
Sun Salute Retreats believes that one month is not enough time for you to become a great teacher, and so, therefore, they have you begin the course as soon as you can so that you can absorb the information in a deeper way. This has been working really well for the graduated teachers as they are able to teach immediately and usually are hired by the best studios.
Whether you are an aspiring student seeking to deepen your knowledge of the yoga practice or you wish to become a teacher, this 200-hour yoga teacher training program is for those students who wish to put effort and hard work into learning, so that they can take their personal development and skills as a facilitator to new heights.
So, come join this very exciting and deeply rewarding life journey.
Amanda Dee approaches this course from a technical and fun mind-body perspective, while making it accessible to all ages and backgrounds.
The curriculum is unmatched by any other level of training anywhere in the world. From anatomy to public speaking, anatomical adjustments, and business skills, no other training offers even a fraction of what Sun Salute Studio students receive during their studies.
Investment in professional yoga training has almost doubled in the last decade, but the average quality of education has significantly decreased. It is important to add value to it.
The Sun Salute Studio community is inclusive, non-dogmatic, friendly, and positive. They embrace diversity in ethnicity, gender, socioeconomic status, and age. Their teachers come from diverse backgrounds, and what unites them is their shared love of learning and a true passion for the well-being of mind and body.
Sun Salute Studio offers an international degree program, more than double the education offered at your typical certificate course, a level that surpasses every industry standard. On top of this, Sun Salute Retreats require all graduates to achieve a 75% (or higher) average score on all tests and assessments, while most schools simply require you to show up in order to graduate.
Sun Salute Retreats' commitment to excellence means that their degree holds a real market value and demonstrates master-level knowledge earned through practice and study.
Sun Salute Retreats has revived the age-old tradition of mentorship, and during your studies, because of their commitment to keeping the groups small (no more than 20 students per group), you’ll have support and guidance every step of the way.
As a student, you’ll work directly with the lead teacher for more than 75% of the course. On a daily basis, you will have the opportunity to ask questions, get feedback, learn, and grow as you go.
The cost of education has reached historic highs around the world, often due to inflated operating costs and commercial infrastructure that has nothing to do with your learning.
At Sun Salute Studio, part of their mission to democratize yoga means offering professional education at a price that almost everyone can afford. To make this feasible, they offer tailored training optimized for learning.
Sun Salute Retreats will help you put together an exceptional “teachers packet,” including a resume (CV), cover letter, and recommendation letter that will help you begin your career. How can they guarantee that you will get your dream job? They can’t, but they guarantee that 95% of their students are working professionally in the yoga world right now.
How will you fit study and practice into your already busy life? What if you have work or family obligations that make it impossible to attend a long-term in-person course? You can split the length of your training, as they offer at least two courses per year.
Sun Salute Retreats runs a yoga studio (full year) and is a full-time working yoga studio. This will give you the opportunity to observe and assist in the regular classes, so that you will get to experience the real life of a working yoga teacher and work with regular students, including beginners and not just super yogis.
This will give you more experience for the future, as normally, Sun Salute Retreats starts the teaching careers teaching beginners. This is the challenge of a teacher: to understand how to modify their yoga class so that all students - from beginners to advanced - can enjoy it.
For the optional evening yoga class, please note that these evening classes will, however, be taught in Spanish (but will be a great way to improve your Spanish and hang out with the locals).
Please note that sometimes, classes will take place on the beach for some fresh air.
The training will finish on the 21st day at 14:00 and you will have a celebratory lunch afterwards. You will have the option to leave after lunch or stay one more night (for an extra fee) and leave the following day.

This training will take place in the small beach village of Torre de la Horadada, Spain, at the Sun Salute Yoga Studio. Torre De La Horadada, is a tranquil coastal village, situated on the border of Alicante and Murcia. See the real Spain and enjoy the towns of Pilar de la Horadada and San Pedro del Pinatar, which are a few minutes away.
For culture, the place is also a short drive to the cities of Murcia, Cartagena, and Alicante. During your free time, you will have the option to explore the local and international restaurants with different options of fresh, healthy cuisine. With great weather, a chain of unspoiled blue flag beaches, a marina, little bars, and restaurants, Torre de la Horadada makes for a great place to visit.
You will have 2 hours for lunch break daily. Sun Salute Retreats found that students preferred to visit different restaurants in the area, as there are many choices and they are cheaper than hiring a private cook. The restaurants serve healthy, vegetarian, Spanish, Mexican, Chinese, Indian, Cuban, Italian, or English food options. Expect to pay about 12 to 14 EUR for lunches, which consists of a 3 course meal and about 15 to 20 EUR for dinner.
If, however, you prefer to cater for yourself, Sun Salute Retreats also have fully functioning kitchens that you will be welcome to use, and supermarkets are within walking distance of the beach houses.
Sun Salute Retreats will help you to orientate yourself to the area, activities, and restaurants, such as boat trips, day trips to Murcia (one-hour and 20-minute bus ride), and Cartagena (40 minutes by taxi). Granada and the Alhambra is four hours and 30 minutes away by bus.
Hiking, diving, and visiting the Calblanque Natural Park, Natural Reserve Cabo De Palos, Natural Hot Springs of Thalasia, as well as watching flamingos and taking a natural mud bath at Parque Natural de Las Salinas de San Pedro are available. There are beaches within walking distance, as well as restaurants, coffee shops, local markets, and tapas bars nearby.
Please note that these trips are extra and are not included as part of the training. You can add them to your trip before or after the training. You will only have three days off during the dates of the 200-hour YTT.
One of the best ways of exploring and enjoying Alicante and the surrounding province is to visit the street markets. There, you will find not only local products such as the local pastries, fresh Mediterranean fruit, and vegetables, or something authentically Spanish like empanadillas.
These street markets and flea markets are also there for you to get lost in, to discover bargains in used or second-hand objects, and to be enticed by a multitude of vintage items that are now difficult to find.
Immerse yourself in this welter of bargains and discoveries that these markets have to offer. The transfer is about 15 EUR one-way, to be split between one to six people.
The famous mud from the Mar Menor has made Murcia an important destination for health and beauty tourism. Nevertheless, this region in southeastern Spain also has a wealth of mineral-rich, medicinal waters in inland areas.
In the town of Archena, 25 kilometers from the city of Murcia, you will find a good example. Its spa resort boasts having been Spain's most popular thermal center at the end of the 19th century. It continues to be a renowned complex to this day.
It is set in the fertile Ricote Valley, an area of countryside irrigated by the Segura River, with interesting contrasts of landscape: palm groves, orange, and a variety of fruit trees are flanked by arid-looking mountains. The result is a unique, peaceful setting that is ideal for rest and relaxation. Transfers are included in your package.
Alicante possesses an extraordinary cultural, natural, and ethnographic richness. The best way to get to know the places and people that constitute these hidden and wonderful landscapes of the Iberian Southeast is by hiking or cycling.
Murcia highly values the customs of traditional life, including paseo, tapas, and plazas. With about half a million inhabitants, it has an excellent nightlife, which is mostly around the university area, and also has good shopping opportunities, with plenty of fashion boutiques and interiors stores.
You will have the opportunity to see a live performance in a flamenco bar while having dinner or just spending some time shopping or walking around. Transfers are about 60 EUR each way, to be split between a group of one to six people, 40 minutes' taxi ride, one-way.
If you’re looking for reasons to visit Cartagena, Spain, then you really don’t have to look far. As the second-largest city in southeastern Spain’s underrated Murcia region, Cartagena doesn’t get nearly the amount of attention it deserves, and this is a real shame.
Packing in everything from a classic Spanish charm - perennially beautiful weather, local gastronomic specialties, and incredible history - Cartagena has so much to offer and should definitely make it onto your next Spain itinerary.
Cartagena, Spain is a dynamic and multifaceted city that is situated on Murcia’s Costa Cálida. It is also the perfect place to visit if you’re looking to avoid tourist crowds and have a relaxing and stress-free visit to Spain. With plenty of outdoor activities, historic sites, and delicious food to be had, it really checks all the boxes for a perfect Spanish holiday destination!
Transfers are about 60 EUR each way, to be split between a group of one to six people, 40 minutes' taxi ride, one-way.
There are many different hiking routes: coastline walks, natural parks, and reserves. Visit places like Cabo de Palos. Walk around the Mar Menor. This will incur an extra cost for transfers.
Alicante is the perfect environment for horseback riding. Its multiple paths and trails will take you through a diversity of landscapes and views. There are different options for your group, length, distance, and duration to determine the price. However, usually, it is around 25 EUR per person per hour. The transfer is about 60 EUR for one to six people.
The Alhambra, in pace with its history, has become the destination of many tourists and probably the best treasure of the city of Granada. To enjoy the beauty of the palatine chambers, the scents of the courtyards and gardens, the games of light and color of the richly decorated halls, and the impressive views of the Albaycin and the Vega constitutes a privilege for your senses.
A place for cultural meetings and the destination chosen by millions of people worldwide, it will lead you to rethink its value in a global world subjected to multiple stresses. The Alhambra has lived, is living, and will continue living, thus making the heritage maxim possible as an evolutionary concept not anchored in time.
When you visit, the Alhambra will be a part of you because it is yours and everyone's. The trip will include a three-hour bus ride for about 25 EUR.
There are different types of therapies that you can book for an additional price. For example:
Private yoga classes 90€
Massage deep tissue or Swedish massage 55€ for 50 minutes
Manicures and pedicures available (extra 10 to 15 EUR)
