This training will be held at Nuga house in May and beyond, both at the tropical south coast of Sri Lanka. Surrounded by palm trees and right on the beach, you will has this boutique yoga themed hotels all to yourselves. Asana and alignment

Stefan Camilleri Yoga approach to asana and alignment is a fusion of alignment based on Iyengar yoga fused with the modern understanding of movement and modification. This means that the asana practice is designed to be transformative while preventing injury. The yoga you will be learning to teach fits easily into all modern yoga settings while giving practitioners the maximum benefit. You will learn to communicate these ideas to your future students in a fun and clear way.

Teaching methodology

In this course, you will learn to teach yoga in a practical and effective way. In the same way that Stefan Camilleri Yoga teach you, you will learn how to read bodies and react to your students’ subtle cues. You will learn to adapt and improvise on the fly while leading a fun and enjoyable class.


Stefan Camilleri Yoga teach applied anatomy. Since the subject is so complex, we focus our attention on what is relevant to teaching yoga. That is, how the body works and how it responds to the practice. Lectures include the systems of the body, the spine, connective tissue, how muscles work, a breakdown of the important joint complexes and more. For those who already have an understanding of anatomy, we will go into more detail. While for those who are newer to the subject, we will focus just on what you need to know.

Class planning

You will learn to plan adaptable, easy to recall classes that aren’t too ridged. Stefan Camilleri Yoga believes in planning a theme, a peak pose and arranging the rest of the class in improvable blocks of time around this. With this method, your classes can thrive in any situation that arises.

Injury prevention

A real problem in modern yoga is the frequency and severity of yoga injuries. We aren’t afraid to talk about the risks of the practice, and within that discussion show how you and your students can avoid these injuries without compromising expression.

Yoga history

There will be discussions on the fascinating roots of modern yoga. Talking about what the word yoga means, its roots in Vedic India, and the fascinating story of yoga’s evolution in the last hundred years. The roots and influences of modern yoga might surprise you.


The philosophy on the course is selected and delivered in a way to have maximum benefit to you in the real world. Considering ancient ideas from the Upanishads, the Yoga Sutras and other more modern texts, we talk about how these ideas can help us be better, happier people today. Beyond that, we will be exploring modern philosophy and the concept of developing emotional intelligence.

Meditation and mindfulness

We have two focuses on meditation. The first is to make it accessible, easy to understand and easy to communicate for your future students. The second is for you to develop a daily meditation practice with a more profound technique, so you can enjoy its life-changing effects long into the future.


The study of breath in yoga is called pranayama and will give two distinct outcomes. The first being that we will learn to take real control over our breath and breath more effectively. The second is that we learn how to use the breath to control the state of our minds. With Pranayama, you will learn to find calm, to stimulate, and to direct your attention.

Healthy living

Yoga gives us lessons for how to live a more meaningful and happy life. The exploration of communication ideas, philosophy, posture, emotional intelligence, and nutrition will all help you discover an improved version of yourself.

The yoga industry

If you are interested in breaking into the yoga industry, you will need the insider knowledge, the nuts and bolts, the dollars and cents. Stefan Camilleri Yoga is not afraid to share with you what they know and help you set up your future yoga business. We will talk about business strategies, dealing with people of influence, branding, how to run your own retreat, and even how to best utilize social media and the internet to help you and your new business grow.

Sanskrit and mantra

Sanskrit is the ancient seed language of yoga, Hinduism and Buddhism. In this course, you will learn about its origins, place in modern yoga, and even learn a few tricks to easily identify common names of postures and breathing exercise.
