What is it like to complete a Yoga Teacher Training with Stefan Camilleri Yoga?

The training is limited to just 18 practitioners - Stefan Camilleri Yoga wants to meet and connect with every one of you, learn your names, your stories and give you the most transformative 3 weeks possible. They are not interested in producing cookie-cutter teachers.

The focus is on small numbers and quality graduates who infuse knowledge, confidence, and their own unique personality throughout their classes. You will learn Alignment-Based Vinyasa that utilizes the latest science and information based on the traditions of classical yoga.

The modern approach allows you to take your practice to the next level while ensuring the safety of your students through a deep understanding of alignment and pose modifications. You will explore postural ideas from both modern and classical Iyengar Yoga, giving the body an opportunity to realign and adjust into advanced alignment. As a result, you will begin to feel and look different as you express your body’s full potential.

The 200-hour Yoga teacher training focuses on 3 main areas:

Developing your personal yoga practice

Studying yoga ideas and philosophies in depth

Developing your communication skills to translate your knowledge into effective and inspired teaching.

1. Developing a strong personal practice: With a focus on movement, posture, meditation and breath work, we rewire your practice to be more safe, strong and expressive. This is further refined through workshops that help you understand your practice from a place of personal experience.

2. Deepening your understanding: Utilizing the comprehensive training manual you will be guided through yoga philosophy, anatomy, teaching skills, yoga industry, the yogic lifestyle and much more. This will allow you to delve deeper into what yoga is really about, facilitating transformation both on and off the mat.

3. Communication: You will learn to apply your new knowledge in a teaching context. You will have the opportunity to practice teaching from day one communication games, and individual and group teaching exercises with a focus on improvisation. These exercises are not only important for your personal development but also to act as comic relief – helping to keep the whole experience light-hearted and fun!

Stefan lives and breathes yoga education. His passion for sharing his knowledge has taken him all over the globe. With well over 1500 hours of training and over 1900 hours of delivering and co-delivering yoga teacher trainings, Stefan is certified through Yoga Alliance as E-RY500, YACEP and runs this, his RYS200 Stefan’s experience with teaching specialist workshops, retreats, trainings and masterclasses around the world is extensive - including teaching with Sadie Nardini in Melbourne, Italy and New York, and running sold out workshops from Norway to Australia.
Sara Zavic
Sara blends traditional Eastern practice with modern anatomical knowledge to combine dynamic and static movements to help find ease and accessibility for various levels. She sets the tone of working intimately with the breath so students can make subtle adjustments through detailed action alignment cueing. Sara is extremely dedicated to her practice and continuing education, and through multiple trainings in India and Melbourne, she has developed a precise eye to detail and alignment, which she uses to encourage practitioners to move in a way that is more mindful and aware.

Retreat location

This training will take place in Kuta, on the island of Lombok, near Bali, Indonesia. Lombok is just like Bali 40 years ago. It's for the explorer, the traveler, and the adventurer. However, rest assured as it also has the amenities and comfortable accommodation for those who wish to have both. More importantly, when you visit Kuta, you will notice the genuine hospitality which makes it such an amazing place.

Mana's in-house restaurant provides healthy, vegetarian or vegan meals and drinks. Their fresh produce is sourced locally and cooked with coconut oil. They also have a full espresso coffee menu and delicious healthy cakes!

They provide the majority of our fruit and vegetables from their very own vegetable garden, with chickens that provide the eggs for your breakfast.

Things to do (optional)

South Lombok has some of the best beginner to intermediate waves in Indonesia, plus a few for the advanced, including the Desert Point. While staying at this retreat, you will have the chance to surf to your heart's content without having to worry about anything.

A dedicated crew of local surfers from Kimen Surf will pick you up, drive you, sail you, or carry you (if necessary) to the best break of the day and make sure you have a great time. You will have your own personal instructor and a little video will also be made to show you what a great experience it is.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Lombok International Airport (LOP). Transfers can be organized through Mana either from the airport or at the local port at your own expense. You can also take a taxi from the airport to the venue.

  • The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 40 days before the arrival date.
