This Transformational yoga teacher training course (TTC) will take place at Tenderness Guesthouse in Auroville near Pondicherry, a perfect location in close proximity to both the Matrimandir and the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, which the mother had once called a veritable laboratory to work out the future society. Private and shared room accommodation options are available for this retreat. The rooms have a shared bathroom and a common kitchen. Free Wi-Fi is also available.

This masters level 500-hour Transformational yoga teacher training course is a four week intensive course.

    Transfomational yoga

Transformational yoga is an integral approach to physical health, emotional balance, and mental and spiritual clarity founded and created by Swami Vidyanand, a renowned yoga master. Transformational yoga gives you the tools you need in order to make a difference in your everyday life. In depth focus of asanas, the chakras, mantras, and breathing and meditation techniques gives you the knowledge you need to purify your body, stabilize your emotions, focus your mind, and increase your spiritual well-being. Swami Vidyanand founded SriMa International School of Transformational Yoga to share his teaching and learning.

During the Transformational yoga teacher training course the following techniques are applied in order to accomplish personal transformation for yourself and your future students:

Asana: Asana training and practice is your opportunity to examine the asanas in depth, learn safe hands-on adjustments, modifications, and precise alignment. These asanas can be modified and are suitable for everyone from beginners to advanced and offer a holistic approach to health, while focusing on chakra activation, back strengthening, ab strengthening and a standing series. Two asana classes a day are taught; one for your personal practice and development and one teaching you how to teach others. You also have the opportunity to get supervised teaching practice. You will come away with a thorough knowledge of the asana sequences and the physical aspects of yoga, such as anatomy and physiology.

Pranayama: Discover the healing potential of your breath. Breathing techniques are an essential component of Hatha yoga. Benefits include improved concentration, more energy, deeper sleep, and reduced stress levels. Not only does it feed the brain, but revitalises the body, since breath is the bridge between the body and the mind.

Mantra: The science of vibration will be explored during the teacher training. Mantra chanting generates vibrations which are fundamental tools for altering the psyche, and producing a tranquil and balanced mind. In yogic practices, the growth of our awareness progresses with the help of these vibrations. By cleansing our minds with mantras, decision making becomes clearer, observation power is awakened; purification leads to improved concentration and a calm focused mind. Mantras will be translated and clearly explained.

Meditation: Meditation, Yoga Nidra, and other relaxation techniques are included in the Transformational yoga teacher training course in order to give us an experience of our pure natures, in which our egos dissolve and we find inner silence. We will introduce dynamic Osho meditations, Raja, Zen and Karma yoga meditation, as well as silent walking meditation.

Upon completion of our course you will receive 500-hour Yoga Alliance International certificate that qualifies you to teach confidently anywhere in the world. For deepening your personal practice and understanding 100-hour courses are also an option.

"SriMa School of Transformational Yoga's Response:"

      "Dear Eve-Lyne,"

"-All the trainings offered by SriMa International School of Transformational Yoga are recognized by Yoga Alliance International founded more than 10 years ago by Swami Vidyanand and a registered trademark under the government of India. This organization has no relation with any other Yoga Alliance and no such thing is mentioned neither on our websites nor on bookyogaretreat.com. The certificates delivered by Yoga Alliance International allow people to teach internationally. Today, 275 yoga centres and more than 7000 teachers are certified with Yoga Alliance International all over the world and the organization makes sure that the newly certified teachers go back home with a certificate valued by their own government."

"-The training is happening in a Guest House which offers both a natural environment and simple way of living. We do care about the comfort and the security of our students, however no extra luxuries are provided in the rooms which is clearly mentioned in the welcome email sent to every student upon confirmation. The amenities are situated in a natural forest area, where insects and wild animals naturally have their home. If despite of our efforts to make this place a clean and safe environment for students to stay, some areas were not to their satisfaction, the staff of the guest house is always around and ready to help and answer any demand of our students. However, we receive Eve-Lyne’s complaint as an opportunity to improve and will definitely upload pictures of the rooms and amenities on bookyogaretreat.com for more clarity."

"-The training of 200 Level happens over 20 days with 1:30 asanas and meditation class early morning and evening, theoretical teachings of 2:30 to 3:00 before lunch and one hour meditation practice after dinner, which totals up to 6:30 to 7:00 hours actual teaching per day. Additionally to these actual teaching hours, the Master personally meets every student at least twice during the training for individual guidance and is always open to answer any queries of the students before, during and after the training."

"The amount of the deposit is left to our appreciation by BYR and is established on the basis of SriMa’s administrative way of functioning. Students applying for the course are free to choose to confirm their application or not and we always make a point of answering any questions through BYR online messaging system, would they have any difficulties in the financial matter, we definitely are open to discussion to make everyone comfortable."
