Amafah Mubashir (RYT 200 - Asana and Pranayama teacher)

Amafah is originally a graphic designer from South Asia. She worked in advertising for a few years before deciding to become a certified Yoga teacher. She was looking for something to fulfill and inspire her. Amafah started practising Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga during her studies at Art School. Her practise became her escape and completed her emotionally, spiritually and physically.

Amafah finished her first 200 Hr Yoga Teacher Training with Spiritual Yoga School in July 2015. It was a life changing experience and she has been teaching yoga ever since. She is currently teaching at CORE and MUV gym - fitness centre.

Ash Hope (E-RYT 200 - Pranayama and Asana teacher)

Transformative, confronting and empowering are the pillars of how Ash would describe the practice of Yoga. ‘It takes you to your edge and back to the present. You tap into your unlimited potential to become the person that you were born to be.’

Little did she know what impact Yoga would have on her life when Ash went to her first class in 2005. Her inquisitive nature led her to practice various forms like Bikram, Power, Vinyasa Flow until she traveled to India and explored the traditional way of practicing Ashtanga Yoga. Learning from the source has deeply impacted her view on Yoga and opened a much deeper dimension to the practice than just physical asanas. In 2009 Ash completed her teacher training (RYT-200) in India with the Himalayan Yoga school and went back to Australia to study at the Melbourne Ashtanga centre.

Ash believes that to know the real meaning of yoga one has to teach from direct experience. On her own path of practice she spent time with Nancy Gilgoff (Maui), Prem and Radha (Bali) and undertook in depth trainings with Manju Jois and David Swenson. Her motivation to teach Yoga is helping people to reach their fullest potential. This goes for the practice on the mat and transfers in all other areas of life.

Ash lives in Cairns and runs the Ashtanga Yoga centre with regular Mysore classes during the week. She also teaches private classes and has been part of a corporate Health and Wellbeing program that was awarded the best in Australia in 2015.

George Chung (E-RYT 200 - Meditation and Asana teacher)

Growing up with an Asian culture of Buddhism and Taoism, George started learning martial arts at the age of 10 and developed an understanding of the union with the Supreme power through breath, meditation and Tai Chi. In the late 80s, George took his first Iyengar Yoga class and has not looked back, teaching and honing his Ashtanga Yoga practice with eminent Sydney teacher Elleen Hall and world renowned gurus such as Patthabi Jois, Sharath Jois, David Swenson, Vinay Kumar.

In 2001 he travelled to USA and discovered the transformational dynamics of Power Yoga with the charismatic teacher Baron Baptiste and obtained teaching certification Level I and II. He has recently returned to Sydney from a 2 year Yoga study and teaching tour in Mysore and Rishikesh India and Asia. His Yoga classes emphasize the meditative effects of Yoga asanas which confront our internal negative obstructions thus empowering ourselves to live an authentic joyful life at peace, in harmony with the Universe. George is teaching in Yoga studios, workshops, corporate and private lessons.

Bai Yuting Susu (E-RYT 500 - Asana and Pranayama teacher)

Susu graduated from the Shanghai University of traditional Chinese Medicine with special emphasis on rehabilitation therapy. She studied various therapies including TuiNa, Moxibustion, Cupping and Acupucture. After her studies she started to work in several hospitals in Shanghai where she helped rehabilitate many patients. Since leaving the hospital she has worked with hundreds of patients reducing their pain and helping them to recover.

In 2007, she started to practice yoga and after 5 years (in 2012) she completed her first yoga teacher training (RYT 200) with Lance Schuler in Shanghai, China. Then she moved to Koh Samui where Susu completed her second training (RYT 300) with Michel Besnard. Susu fall in love with Ashtanga Yoga and started to practice Mysore style (self-practice) at 6:30 am every morning, six times per week. In 2015 she travelled to India to study Ashtanga Yoga and Sanskrit at Shri K.Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute (KPJAYI) with Sharathji. After her studies in India she understood that Yoga is not only Asana but it is also your life (Yama and Niyama) and that Asana practice help us to steady our mind and stabilize the body. We must practice for a long time to achieve the blissful state Samadhi. She says: "I surrender to my guru Sharathji. The more I practice, the more stamina I get."

"I like the course overall. I felt that I gained so much knowledge and experience in such a short time. Even if YTT200 is just the beginning I felt confident to start teaching after graduation. Accommodation was fantastic. My group stayed at Moon Beach resort which is run by the loveliest Thai family. Amazing home cooked thai food each night and great accommodation as well. My teacher was amazing. She was filled with knowledge and so excited to share this with her students. She created a safe and fun environment where she encouraged and supported her students through their journey"

" While I valued the mornings with Pranayama and Asana practice, I learned so much about the yoga sutras and how they span every aspect of humanity. I loved that this ignited the start of more learning for me. The location at Vikasa in Koh Samui was inspirational and I felt that I was being holistically taken care of throughout the course. The other yogis that took the training were amazing. It was an open and honest group of learners who supported each other and were committed to learning and growing as yogis. Liza is extremely knowledgable and has a beautiful focus to her practice. Reshma Datar was the wonderful assistant teacher who knows so much of the history and encouraged all of us to shine. Both teachers were dedicated to the growth of the students and helped us to achieve. "

" Spiritual Yoga School was an amazing experience, it was honestly much more than I imagined it to be. The teachers were brilliant and their years of experience really showed in the classroom. The location, accommodation and meal plans were great. The only issue I had was the payment method which was kind of haphazard but I think they're working that out. "
