Yr Ocar, the house you will stay in, is a secluded riverside haven at the head of the Nant Ffrancon valley. Sitting on the banks of Afon Galedffrwd, it is a traditional stone Welsh dwelling with a beautiful garden leading down to the river, beyond which there are river walks for you to explore at your own pace. The rooms provided are let on a twin basis, so if you book a single place you will be expected to share with one other participant.

    Cathy is a certified British Wheel of Yoga Instructor, traditional Thai massage therapist and also qualified to teach children’s yoga and mindfulness. She's been practicing yoga since 2004 and she gets more passionate about it the longer she practices. Yoga has brought so many positive changes (and people) into her life and the lessons learned on the mat are invaluable when faced with the realities of day-to-day living. To Cathy, the beauty of yoga is that it has something for everyone with age, level of fitness, and abilities mattering not a bit.

  • Massage sessions

Your yoga weekend includes dinner on Friday evening. On Saturday, you will be served breakfast, lunch, and 3-course dinner. Brunch will be provided on Sunday. All of them are vegetarian food cooked by Suzanne, although Source Yoga will happily cater for vegan and other dietary choices. Below, you will find examples of the sort of dishes.


Beetroot and tofu burgers with horseradish relish and sweet potato wedges followed by raw blueberry and macadamia vegan ‘cheesecake’.


For breakfast, you will get home-made granola pots with chia seeds and goji berries, natural yoghurt, as well as home-made fruit compote or banana and apple oat pot with apple garnish (vegan and gluten-free option). For lunch, the chef will serve you butternut squash and butterbean soup served with locally baked breads including gluten-free options. Sticky ginger cake with a shot of freshly prepared fruit and vegetable juice will also be served for your mid-afternoon snack.

For dinner, you will have beetroot and cannellini bean hummous with home-made tortilla chips, avocado, and broad been pate bruschetta for the appetizers. For the main course, there will be sunshine shepherdess pie with sweet potato topping served with a medley of salads such as winter slaw with tahini dressing, barley, pepper, and tomato with preserved lemons, carrot, chickpea, and orange with fresh coconut. For your dessert, there will be fruit crumble and home-made soya ice.


Before your departure, you will have fresh fruit salad, potato cakes, wilted spinach, scrambled eggs or mushrooms and roasted tomatoes, toast with homemade jam and fruit juice for brunch.
