Haramara Retreat Center is an exclusive, intimate, and secluded seaside retreat, offering superior mind, body, and spirit experiences along with sensual tropical harmony to every guest. Haramara ensures relaxing and renewing yoga and wellness retreats, as well as professional retreats, teacher trainings, and workshops.

Haramara has been built without mechanical equipment that compromises the virgin jungle. Every structure has been hand-built, using traditional construction methods. The planning took into consideration the environment and the quality of your experience.

The boutique offers a quaint shopping experience for unique handmade jewelry, gifts, and clothing. The eclectic one-of-a-kind items in the boutique are locally sourced and selected especially with guests in mind.

Scattered across the beautiful tropical hillside, each individual cabaña has been hand-built with all natural materials. They offer exceptional views of the ocean and jungle canopy. Each cabaña is situated to offer privacy and seclusion, while still taking advantage of the spectacular views.

Cabañas have been designed with your comfort in mind. Enjoy the rustic luxury of any of the spacious lodges, which feature comfortable beds with hand woven sheets, gauzy sheer curtains to filter the sunlight, and oil lamps and candles for softly lit evenings. Most cabañas have private hammocks for lazy afternoon naps.

Each cabaña has its own unique and individually designed private bathroom with hot water, monogrammed towels, and an open air shower with a view.

If you prefer a double or triple room, please try to find someone to room with you to make reservations easier. If we are not able to locate anyone to room with you, you will have the option of joining the Dorm Cabaña or your own private cabaña. Quadruple lodges are also available for four people upon request.

Dining room

Placed amidst the jungle canopy, the spacious open air dining room, hand-built with a soaring roof and handcrafted hardwood floors, is situated near the top of the property, in the perfect location facing west to enjoy the jungle and ocean views throughout the entire day. Eat breakfast here listening to the birds, enjoy a quiet lunch at midday, and linger over dinner while watching the sunset.

The dormitory has been designed to accommodate up to eight people in a shared bedroom and bathroom facility. You will enjoy the same features of the cabañas, but in a large open room, with individual beds for each person. There are two bathrooms in the dormitory, one at each end, to accommodate up to four people each. In each bathroom, there are two showers, two sinks, and one toilet. There is daily housekeeping service for both the cabañas and the dormitory.

The terrace is located below the dining room, just in front of the boutique, with the same wonderful west facing view. With comfortable chairs and umbrellas, it offers a quiet place to sit, read or write in your journal, to enjoy a drink while watching the sunset, or to connect with new and old friends.

Yoga shalas

On two separate knolls, each with a different, but expansive view, sit the two magnificent yoga shalas. Both yoga shalas are positioned to take advantage of the panoramic and ever changing views of the lush mountains and vast ocean, while also taking advantage of the soothing ocean breezes.

The Sunrise Shala sits at the top of the property and is fully open air and unenclosed. The Sunset Shala is also fully open air, but can be fully enclosed with folding doors. There is no electricity in the cabanas. They are illuminated at night with oil lamps and candles. There are no fans or air conditioning in the cabanas.

If you want to read at night, you will need to bring a book light with you. There is no outdoor lighting, so you will need to carry a flashlight or use a headlamp at night. There is, however, electricity in the yoga pavilion and the restaurant for recharging batteries.

You will start each day with a Vinyasa Yoga class every morning with Nathania, and get your workout on with Gary’s kickass Metabolic Effect workout (30 minute HIIT workouts at your own pace).

Based on how activity-packed the day is, SoulTribe Adventures often end with restorative & yin yoga and/or Yoga Nidra Meditation to recoup after those workouts.

In between, choose to:

Dig deeper and look at the way you’re showing up for yourself in different areas of your life with intentional group circles and discussions

Feel empowered as you face your fears with a blood-pumping Zip Line adventure that take you from “OMG I don’t know” to “Woo I did it!”

Build confidence and strength and learn to stand upside down on your head and hands to see things from a different perspective (literally)

Rest and restore with guided Yoga Nidra meditations (also known as Yogic Sleep) that bring you to deep states of mental and physical relaxation

Expand your limits with an authentic Temazcal sweat lodge ceremony

Snorkel the Marrietta Islands, home to the blue footed boobie birds and gorgeous sea life

Connect to your inner kid with games and activities that remind you what it’s like to let loose, laugh with abandon and be at ease in your body

Nourish yourself with quiet time to hang on your own, read, enjoy a massage or connect one-on-one with incredible people from all over the world

Movement and play are a big part of our programs. Dropping the hats you wear and feeling like kids again brings you back to who you truly are and gives you a chance to look at life with a fresh perspective.

SoulTribe Adventures welcome all ages and all levels of experience. The classes accessible, challenging, playful and fun for everyone. You don't need to be a yogi or a fitness buff - you just need to be a human being interested in exploring, playing, growing and getting your movement on!
