Expert tip: This is one of the most popular yoga retreats offered in the USA.
Rejuvenate, connect with nature, and co-create beloved community for two nights and three days in the hidden gem of Pescadero in Northern California. Nestled among the eco-systems of coastal wetlands and majestic redwoods on unceded Ohlone, Ramaytush, and Muwekma land, Venture Retreat Center is a refuge for rest, transformation, and building community. You will have the entire 22 acres to yourselves with free time to swim in the pool, take a dip in the hot tub and explore the land.
You will be staying at Venture Retreat Center in either a shared room, Nasturium Cabin, or you can even choose to bring your own tent and camp out.
Connect to the land and the sounds of nature. Must bring all your own gear: tent, sleeping bag, pillow, sleeping pad, or blow-up mattress. Be prepared for as low as 40-degree temperatures at night. Short walk to outdoor bathrooms and showers.
Shared room with a double or twin bed in the main lodge. The room is shared with three or four other people. The bathrooms and showers are indoors and shared with other folks in the lodge. There are three bathrooms total.
Twin or queen bed in the cabin shared with one other person. Bathrooms are inside the main lodge a few steps away. There are three bathrooms and showers in the main lodge shared with other retreat participants.
The central theme will be to explore the intersections of vulnerability, belonging, and authenticity. Embark on a journey of self-reflection, movement, and community building that unearths your capacity to be vulnerable and honest with each other. Practice embodying ahimsa or non-harming as sacred ground to connect to your body and navigate inner and outer conflict.
Dive deep into the yoga tradition with Asana (physical yoga postures), meditation, pranayama, mantra, stories, and discussion for connection and deep soul growth. There will be yoga asanas offered for all levels of experience: Hatha Flow, Tantra yoga, and Restorative yoga. No yoga experience is necessary. Satya teaches in a radically inclusive way with an emphasis on therapeutics, alignment, and preventing injury.
Nourish body, mind, and spirit with exquisite farm-to-table meals from a local chef. This retreat is for all beings. The intention is to welcome and celebrate folks from all experiences, 16+ in age, religions, abilities, immigration statuses, sizes, and sexual orientations. The intention is to co-create a space that is pro-Black, pro-Immigrant, pro-Queer, and pro-Trans. They will co-create community agreements to embody these intentions.
Offering 12 years of experience teaching yoga, Satya de la Paz August inspires students to fall in love with their bodies and their practice. She infuses dynamic alignment, chanting, storytelling, and community-building into her classes. Satya is deeply grateful for her mentor, Abby Tucker, as well as all of her dharma and movement teachers: Sally Kempton, Rob Preece, and Sianna Sherman. Satya's classes are a classroom and restoration of our most awakened blissful being for multiracial, multi-gender, and multigenerational groups.
