Accommodation

The accommodation is provided in an ecological rest house with pristine silence. Eco villas are constructed with mud providing insulation keeping them cool in summer and warm in winters and the mud floor acts as a shock absorber or like cushion for human body. Villas offer beautiful view of plantations with chairs and mud sofas in the balcony. The dining area serving gourmet vegetarian meals are made up of bamboo and coconut leaves to maintain ecological and organic feel. The food is freshly cooked with organic spices grown in our farm. One can also enjoy pure raw cacao shakes and smoothies.

Daily schedule

  • 07:00 - 08:30 Asana practice

Techniques, training and practice make the bulk of the training as 100 hours is set to that. Methodology takes up 25 hours while 20 hours go to learning anatomy and physiology. You need to devote 30 hours to philosophy/lifestyle and ethical conduct. For electives, there are 15 hours and 10 hours is provided for practicum.

  • Meditation - guided meditation, breath meditation, silent meditation, active meditation and sound meditation
  • Kriyas - understanding the Shatkarmas, internal cleansing, daily practice of Neti, Kapalbhati, and Agnisara
  • Asanas - daily practice of one or combined ashtanga, vinyasa flow, yin and alignment
  • Bandhas - embodying the knowledge and practice of Moola-Bandha, Udiyana-Bandha, Jalandhara-Bandha and Maha-Bandha
  • Mudras - learning the channeling of energy using various psychic gestures to empower your postures
  • Chanting - chanting mantras every morning and at the start and conclusion of daily classes

Practicum - 10 hours

This is a one to one teaching, group teaching, assisting other teachers, giving adjustment and also weekly feedback sessions.

Apart from covering standard yoga alliance curriculum, our experienced and passionate teachers share with their wealth of knowledge through integrating eight various workshops and sessions from their individual expertise which includes Ayurveda, thai yoga massage and acro yoga workshops, together with sacred ceremonies.

Retreat location

The retreat center will be your home amongst nature during yoga teacher training in Goa. This mindfully-chosen venue is home to a working organic spice farm, passed down from generation to generation, filled with natural energy. This difference is experienced both in the sound therapy of the forest and the freshness of the vegetarian and vegan meals prepared each day. Wake up each morning to views of lush forest during daily asana practice and glimpse the stars from underneath giant palm leaves. We aim to provide the optimal environment to reconnect with your inner self: after all Smriti means remembrance. The plantations are totally organic. Students can learn organic multi-cropping system and see how natural organic farming is maintained. For example to protect vanilla crop from bacteria we depend on a particular species of ants which eat the bacteria. There is perfect balance in nature; all we need is to harness it. There is natural honey produced in the farm and one can learn how to use these organic spices in cooking or for medicinal use.
