Villa Boreh is not a hotel, it is a concept of openly minded flexibility, a unique space amongst nature for creating an individual experience. It has six unique villas, all different in characters and all nestled in lush tropical gardens. Villa Boreh has quite a variety of accommodation available from simple modern rooms to Balinese style bungalows.

You will be able to choose to stay in either of the following rooms: large or small seminar rooms with air-conditioning, Balinese cottage with air-conditioning and private bathroom, Balinese bungalow with fan and shared bathroom, or junior master, corner suite, or coaching villa, all with air-conditioning.

Villa Boreh Beach Resort and Spa is located on the north east coast of Bali, in the village of Sembiran, between Singaraja and Amed. It is an area of distinct significance to Bali, in that Hinduism arrived there via the shores of the northeast coast, what is now known as the regency of Tejakula. This area boasts the oldest and some of the most important temples in Bali, not to mention has some fantastic hidden gems not written about in any guide books.

During the retreat, you are welcome to indulge in not only massage but a host of other luxurious spa treatments that the resort center has to offer.

Body scrubs

Royal mandi lulur

This Javanese body treatment for the bride-to-be is made with a combination of Indonesian herbs, is traditionally applied daily for a month prior to the woman's wedding day. After the skin has been polished with the lulur, the body is then covered with cool creamy yoghurt leaving the skin silky smooth.

Bali kopi treatment

Using locally-produced coffee, this stimulating scrub shrinks the surface capillaries, penetrating deeply into the skin to assist in the breakdown of cellulite. A carrot mask is the applied, rich in vitamin A and full of antioxidants which slows the aging process and completes this luxurious treatment.

Palm body treatment

An ideal treatment for jet-lag or the morning after to recover from the night before. This coconut scrub pulls toxicity from the skin before a coconut and yoghurt mask hydrates and calms the body and the mind.

Sunburnt body treatment

Soothe the skin with an extra virgin coconut oil full body massage to increase burnt skin hydration levels and to slow the peeling process. It is followed by a freshly blended, cooling cucumber, and aloe vera mask.

Facial masks

The masks and scrubs are all natural, and will nourish your skin with vitamins, minerals, and essential elements leaving you looking and feeling younger and more radiant. The skin is cleansed and massaged with coconut oil. The face is then gently exfoliated with the scrub of your choice. A second cleansing and massage with oil aids to hydrate the newly exposed skin.

The neck, chest, and arms are also massaged with coconut oil for deeper relaxation. The use of effective micro-organisms mixed with the facial mask enables the vitamins and minerals to better penetrate though the skin, enriching and redefining the face.

While the mask is left to penetrate the deeper layers of skin, the arms, hands, and shoulders are massaged, taking the treatment to new levels of relaxation. The mask is then removed and cold cloths are applied closing pores and toning the skin

Hair cream bath

Sun, sea, and wind all damage the hair, causing excessive dryness leading to split ends. Revitalise hair with the deep conditioning hair bath and scalp massage.

Bali massage

This traditional, deep tissue massage uses the extra virgin coconut oil, worked deeply into tendons and muscles.

Aromatherapy massage

Choose from a various range of naturally-scented aromatherapeutic oils. This relaxing treatment will slowly unfold body aches and pains while revitalizing the spirit.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Skillful Mind will pick you up from the airport. Skillful Mind recommends flying in at least a day or night prior to retreat start date. Most attendees will fly into Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) on the evening prior to retreat start and stay that eveing near the airport.

Peter is happy to book you a room in a hotel near the airport where he, and other retreat attendees may also be staying. This will be an extra cost (usually less than 50 AUD) but will ensure your ease of collection by mini bus for transfer to retreat center on the day the retreat commences. If you are staying elsewhere prior to the retreat, arrangements for transfer can be made.

On the day the retreat starts, a mini bus will be available for collections and transfers of all retreat guests, beginning your journey with a drive through the gorgeous country side. Airport transfers are also available on final day.
