If yes, this retreat could be exactly what you need! Our yoga retreats give participants the space for their body and mind to come back to itself, and become one. Suitable for beginners to experienced, the schedule is designed to teach and nurture all in a supportive like minded environment. This retreat is designed specifically for those who want to reconnect with themselves and enhance their body mind connection through gentle movement, breathing and self reflection. Here our yoga teacher will share with you simple yoga techniques from varied traditions that will work on re-establishing union between your bodies, minds and spirit.

Standard

Consists of dorm or hotel style accommodation generally shared facilities. Great for those that may be budget conscious and don't mind sharing with others. Upgrades to limit room occupants may be available.

Consists of only one or two people to a bedroom and shared facilities. Great for those that would like their own space for reflection, or have trouble sleeping in shared rooms.

Luxury

For those that want to give themselves the ultimate experience of a spiritual journey in comfort and spectacular locations. If you really want to treat yourself, this is the way to go!

Every class or group session is signaled with a bell five minutes before it commences. Tardiness can disturb the unfolding of the class so please be on time. If you have a massage/tarot/coaching session please be mindful not to disrupt any classes in progress.

    For over forty years Tina has pursued interests in hatha yoga, meditation and Indian philosophy while also pursuing other careers and raising her children. Tina undertook her Hatha Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga Spirit Studios founder, Rebecca Richards, and since graduating with the Yoga Spirit Studios Certificate of Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in 2009, Tina has accumulated over 1000 teaching hours. She has worked with Donna Farhi, completing her 21 day Advanced Teacher Training in 2012 and has since assisted Donna at her workshop intensives.

This retreat will take place at Whalers Bluff Resort Luxury Apartments, 123 Franklin Parade, Encounter Bay, Victor Harbor, SA, 5211.   • Adelaide - 1 hour & 23 minutes drive

An important part of our philosophy to leading a balanced life is to eat nutritious, delicious food. All of our retreats include vegetarian meals and other dietary requests such as vegan, gluten-free etc can be accommodated. Menu subject to change.

Sample retreat vegetarian menu

  • Friday Supper: Cheese and dip platter, with gluten free rice crackers. gluten and/or dairy free dips, cheese, fresh fruit and vegetables, dried fruit and nuts.
  • Saturday breakfast: Selection of cereals, muesli, yogurt, fruit and toast (gluten free options available).
  • Morning tea: Cafe style biscuits
  • Saturday Lunch: Feta, Pumpkin and zucchini frittata and salads (chickpea salad, lentil salad or tossed salad), fresh fruit platter.
  • Afternoon tea: Seasonal fruit cake
  • Saturday Dinner: Vegetarian curry and jasmine rice
  • Dessert: Pana Cotta and fruit salads

    "My experience at the Empowerment Retreat was life changing. I chose to go because I was in a state of unconsciousness, meaning my life was in turmoil and I was floating from one day to the next without conscious decisions. People walked all over me, I bent over backwards for everyone and gave nothing to myself. And neither did anyone else. I just couldn’t figure out why, when I was so accommodating and caring and considerate of everyone. My bucket was empty and I was running on thin air, so when my friend suggested the retreat I jumped at the chance. What I learnt about myself has stayed with me, and a year later and I utilize these skills on a daily basis. Peter taught me how to meditate effectively and how to draw deep into myself to figure out what was actually causing my feelings and my fears. Then he taught me how to turn these fears around and make sustainable goals. I was also amazed to see so many people attending from the service industry. Nurses, teachers, counselors and care givers who all felt drained and empty from giving so much. I saw a young couple in crisis, leave the retreat as a united pair. The retreat has changed my mindset and behavior at home, work and in all my relationships. There is no doubt the skills and experience I received on this weekend has changed me in a positive way. I have balance in my life and regularly re-visit Peters meditations. Forever grateful to the Skillful Mind Team."
