"Great experience "

Swami is so sincere and such a kind person. She treated me like I was family. The class sizes are small and personalized. All the staff members are so friendly. Kamela taught some of the yoga classes as well. She did a great job also!!! I enjoyed learning about the Hindu “chants” or songs and their meanings. It was a really soothing and peaceful experience. Beautiful magnolia, hibiscus, avacado trees, birds and shrubbery (birds of paradise) surround the property. Truly an oasis!

"Great place for traditional yoga"

Two yoga classes per day, fresh food, a fine bed, friendly & kind people. The style of instruction follows the teachings of Swami Sivananda closely. I enjoyed the practice a lot, as well as the satsangs and puja, very special experiences. Would certainly come back if I were in LA area :).

"I liked the overall experience."

I liked the overall experience.I would suggest may be adding some more workshops like ayurveda / satvik eating ,instead of having 2 yoga sessions per day.

"Deeply enriching experience"

I've spent 5 wonderful days in this Center, in which I've been able to learn, experience new things, connect with my higher self and share beautiful moments with wonderful people, always willing to give love and share their wisdom. The facilities are beautiful and there is absolute peace. The food is absolutely delicious. The meditations, ceremonies, lectures and yoga classes make the experience complete and unforgettable.

"The entire experience was so amazing!"

I took 4 day Yoga Nidra teacher training this past weekend. I am so glad I decided to stay in the facility. The entire experience was so amazing. Starting with meditation and chanting in the morning, yummy vegetarian meals, yoga classes, and time to chat with beautiful minded people there. I could focus on my inner self 100% during this 4 day training. This center taught me the beauty of simplicity of life. This place was like an oasis in the middle of busy LA. Time there moves really slowly and softy. I am definitely coming back this center again.

"Wonderful Experience with Beautiful Souls"

I had a private room tucked in the corner with a couch and bookshelf right outside. The room was simple and had everything I needed. Simplicity was exactly what I had I mind for this retreat so it was perfect. I also loved that there was a staircase outside so I could easily go from my room to my car without disturbing anyone.

The house itself was absolutely gorgeous! Original wood and pocket doors, wainscoting and molding, they even had the original fuse box encased in glass. A true delight for anyone who loves old homes.

I was warmly welcomed from the start by Parvati. She is a beautiful person, very friendly. She made me feel right at home and took care of all my needs. I felt as if I could rely on and trust her right from the get.

Food was incredible. I'm not vegetarian and all the dishes were new to me. Not being scared to try new things, I dove into the culinary experience and completely loved it. I definitely will be incorporating these dishes into my home routine.

One thing about this center that is clear is the community involvement. Aside from the few members who live there full time, there were several people who came everyday to do different things. The Karma Yoga is evident and it makes one want to participate. Living Karmically is a great way to inspire others to do the same.

5 stars, A+++, 10/10 would recommend.

"Excellent experience "

What a positive experience! If you are feeling the calling to come here and stay, you should follow it. I’m glad I did. It’s was life changing even for just a few brief nights. I would do it again. Thank you Swami G for being so caring and creating such a welcoming environment. I hope to see you again.

"Ashram in the city!"

I loved that there was a morning mediation that set the day in motion. Beautiful big old house with a new patio for outside classes. Garden on site for the food that's prepared. Very healthy and tasty. The classes were thought provoking and I drove home feeling blissful.

"Excellent yoga center"

Overall I had a wonderful time visiting this center. The accommodations are basic, but clean and everything you need is provided. I liked that there was tea and water always available in your room. The yoga classes and talks were good and always on time. The teachers always thoughtful, kind, and able to answer questions. I have never done Sivananda yoga before. (it is essentially 12 different poses without music. Just lead by the instructor) the morning satsung is an experience everyone should have. The food was fantastic. It was vegan.....lentils, rice, and veggies for lunch and dinner and oatmeal, fruit, and toast for breakfast. (that's what it was when I was there anyway) I always had enough and felt full. The outdoor yoga patio is under a tree so it's nicely shaded and enjoyable. The house itself is rather historic and has some really beautiful woodwork.
