During this retreat, you will stay at Sach'a Munay Yoga and Retreat Center for seven nights. It offers a beautiful natural and ecological environment in the sacred valley of Urubamba in Cusco. This place has been designed especially for the practice of yoga and the development of this style of life.

Yoga states that in order to establish yourself in an experience of creativity, peace, harmony, and brightness, you must tune and refine all aspects of your personality, the physical, energetic, mental, emotional, and spiritual. And only when you have tuned and harmonized all these areas of your life will you establish yourself in that experience of balance, stability, and flowness with life and its beauty.

In this retreat, you are going to acquire knowledge and valuable tools and advice, and you will be able to practice and experiment during eight consecutive days the yogic way of life, which will allow you to evaluate its impact on your life and achieve the necessary impetus to be able to incorporate it into your everyday life.

In this retreat, you are going to experience, understand, and learn to eat wisely, to move your body and exercise appropriately, to breathe more efficiently, to relax correctly and deeply, and to train your mind in positive and creative thinking and in meditation. You are going to experience the yogic way of life, a healthier, more creative, and brighter life.

The retreat is directed to both new yoga practitioners as well as those who already have experience, to teachers, to all those people who want to and cannot yet incorporate yoga as a daily practice to perform in their homes and in their daily lives, to all those who have interest to lead a healthy lifestyle and directed toward growth, to those who want to know and experience the benefits that this system of life can give, and to all those who want to learn relaxation, meditation, and breathing techniques for better health, more energy, and a calmer mind, more focused and agile.

Once you have tried this way of living and have had the chance to experiment for a number of consecutive days, it will be difficult to give up on it and its benefits. You are invited to give yourself the chance to immerse yourself in the yogic way of life in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility in the sacred valley of Urubamba and allow yourself to be full of energy, joy, and health.

At the end of the course, you are going to have a theoretical and practical knowledge of yoga so that you can apply the techniques of yoga in your home and gradually start to have a yogic way of life. You will be issued a certificate of attendance and satisfactory completion of the course. All course participants will have the opportunity to stay in touch with Siddhi Yoga to continue to be assessed.

    Alex is a yoga teacher dedicated to the practice and dissemination of yoga as a discipline and as a way of life. She was born in Lima, Peru in 1988. In 2009, she went to study to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she lives today, to carry out the intensive and specialization course of Ayurvedic medicine and health, both conducted by Dr. Jorge Luis Berra. In 2010, she came to know Fernando Calviño, who is now her husband and teacher, and studied with him. Since she found yoga as her lifestyle, she travels to India every year to study with her spiritual masters and continue to grow and learn.

  • Fernando Calviño

    Fernando is an international yoga master, a title given by the International Yoga Fellowship Movement founded by Swami Satyananda Saraswati of Munger, India. He has dedicated his life to the practice and dissemination of this system of life and personal discipline. For more than 30 years, he has taught all the aspects of yoga in his yoga school, Siddhi Yoga, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In his travels to India, he has also studied directly with the world-renowned yoga teacher, B.K.S Iyengar, and was the first Argentinian to introduce this system in the country.

    The Ayurvedic Institute (Ayurvedic Massage)

    Alejandra is an Ayurvedic therapist who received certification at the Ayurvedic Institute of Dr. Vasant Lad in Albuquerque, USA. She traveled to India to improve her knowledge in Ayurvedic medicine with Dr. Vasant Lad and studied Thai massage in the Sunshine Network Thai Massage School in Chiang Mai, Thailand. She currently lives in Lima, Peru and is dedicated in giving Ayurvedic consultations and massages to help people find the way to a healthier way of living.

This retreat will take place at Sach'a Munay Yoga and Retreat Center in the Sacred Valley of Urubamba, Peru. The Sacred Valley in the Inka cosmogony is the reflection of the Milky Way, as was the Nile to the Egyptians. With its subtropical climate, it is an ideal place for learning and practicing yoga, surrounded by the elements of nature, earth, water, fire, air, and space that nourish you with its own presence.

The yogis have always chosen places removed from the city and close to nature to live and carry out their practices because these places are full of negative ions that allow you to absorb and assimilate the energy of the place and the one generated by the practices. The Andes is a very special place on the planet, which is radiating its spiritual energy and transformation to all mankind. The Andes and the Himalayas are the highest mountains in the world, and both spaces are the cradle of ancient spiritual and powerful traditions.

The cordillera of the Andes is like a big spine that runs throughout the American continent, with various chakras or areas that are particularly intense, the Mount Shasta in northern California and Machu Picchu in the area of Cusco in Peru. Discovering the energy of the Andes and the Pachamama (Mother Earth) for the first time really has an impact.

The stones, the mountains, and the rivers seem to take animal forms and express the great spiritual and vital energy that is born there and inhabits these spaces. The ancient civilizations that flourished in this area of the planet seem as if they had turned on these energies even more, creating sacred spaces for temples, places of worship, and spirituality.
