You will be on your way to become a fantastic yoga instructor, as well as grow your practice and learn all aspects of the yogic lifestyle. You will be pushed beyond your limits in all areas of life, so that you can grow as a yogi and a human being.
You will stay and train at the retreat center NaraSoma. Nara means human; Soma means the elixir of life. A narasoma is a human who has awakened, opened, and captured the essence of spiritual knowledge and power. Charlotte, the owner of NaraSoma, has expressly developed this special place to accommodate other spiritual individuals and yogis to support their path.
NaraSoma has beautiful yoga shala, as well as spa facilities including a swimming pool and a tea house. You will stay in a private, single occupancy room with a double bed and an attached private bathroom with hot and cold shower.
Just off the busy street on Monkey Forest Road down Beji Lane, Narasoma is a tranquil oasis. Yet it is also within minutes’ walk of shops, restaurants, and coffee shops. It is the last bit of natural sanctuary, besides the Monkey Forest, in the center of Ubud. Everything is within two to three minutes of walking distance, so it is easy to get it whenever you need something. In short, you get best of both worlds here.
The training course follows comprehensive Yoga Alliance guidelines, and complements these with rich teachings of traditional yoga that have been handed down to Indian yoga gurus from their ancestors. This creates a deeply yogic environment, going beyond the asanas to provide a comprehensive learning experience to students.

This program stretches beyond the physical practice of yoga and dives into the mental and spiritual side, as well. You will be pushed beyond your limits in all areas of life, providing you with the opportunity to grow as a yogi and as a human being. From the history of yoga to human anatomy and physiology, you will cover topics you didn’t even know existed.
This is not a training course that simply has its students practice for eight hours a day; instead, it helps students become teachers, as well as cultivate a solid physical and spiritual practice. You will cover meditation, chakras, and pranayama, and go from practicing yogi to full-time yogi in the course of a month.
However, it is important to maintain balance in your life, that is why the program is created to include excursions and free time to explore your surrounding area. There will be bonfires, prayer sessions and kirtan, and there are plenty of other activities around the city to keep you busy each weekend.
As for what you’ll learn throughout the course, the list is endless, but includes sequencing, asana - alignment and modifications, yoga philosophy and lifestyle, the yoga sutras, different types of yoga including Hatha and Vinyasa, yogic eating and Ayurveda, chakras, pranayama, assisting, and anatomy and physiology.
This certificate is for multi-style yoga where you will get a chance to learn Hatha yoga, Vinyasa yoga, alignments, and teaching methodology, along with the philosophy and history behind it.
The main emphasis of the 300-hour training is on the therapeutic aspect of yoga using Hatha and Vinyasa yoga styles. Exposure to different styles will allow you to decide which style you would like to pursue more deeply.
Some of the styles that will be incorporated into your 300-hour yoga teacher training include: Hatha yoga - yoga of body and mind purification; Vinyasa yoga; Jnana Yoga - yoga of inquiry; Karma yoga - yoga of action; Bhakti yoga - yoga of devotion; Mantra yoga - yoga of recitation; Kundalini yoga - yoga of energy; and Raja yoga - yoga of meditation.
Postural adjustment through yoga asana is a traditional and unique scientific practice. Yoga teachers and therapists with knowledge of this specific technique can help practitioners use their bodies in a more balanced and correct way, both in their yoga practice, as well as daily life.
Additionally, you will be taught the importance of a proper muscle warm-up to prevent injury and help future students into poses more safely. You will discuss the use of props like blocks, blankets, bolsters, etc. to reap the full benefits of asana and to promote healing and recovery from injuries, while aiding in proper bodily alignment.
The course also offers a breath-based instructor training, which means your breath will guide you through the proper posture. The improper use of the muscles involved in breathing, such as the diaphragm, leaves other muscles strained with overuse, a prime physiological reason for muscle stress injuries.
However, an undeveloped breathing pattern is a powerful source of numerous psychological problems as well. This is why, along with the proper poses and counter-poses, specific pranayama practices will be taught to bring the body into perfect equilibrium.

Students need to have 100% attendance to receive the certification. If, however, for any reason you are unable to attend a class, you can spend extra time with the teachers to complete the requisite training hours. Note: this facility is only for students who have serious reasons, like illness, for missing the class.
As a graduate of Siddhi Yoga, you will be certified by one of the largest and most-trusted names in yoga teacher training internationally. Your certification also qualifies you for a Yoga Alliance certification, a third party accreditation agency that is used in order to ensure that quality and international standards are met.
Yoga Alliance is an education and support organization for yoga schools, and is a non profitable organization. In order to become a RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher), you must adhere to a very clear set of standards in terms of curriculum, planning, training, and qualification.
In the yoga industry, Yoga Alliance has become the standard certification backing for any yoga training school, and most studios will expect it from their teachers. Yoga Alliance has more than five thousand registered schools and more than fifty six thousand registered teachers worldwide.

Ubud, where the yoga teacher training is located, is a small town in central Bali. Far removed from the beach party scene, Ubud is the cultural center of Bali. Much of the town and nearby villages consist of artists’ workshops and galleries. The ubiquitous creativity, remarkable architecture, and calm, warm vibe make Ubud a perfect place to relax, recharge, and of course, practice yoga.

Three daily vegetarian or vegan meals, mineral water, and hot drinking water are included in the price throughout your entire stay. The meals are served Monday through Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday. You will have your daily breakfast in the lovely Tea House, where you can also grab quick bites to eat at any time of day.
There are lots of choices for your weekend meals within five to ten minutes of walking distance from the center. An average meal can cost from 10 to 20 USD in Bali, depending upon what you order.
Although many people don’t realize it, diet is an integral part of yoga. Much of the yogic prescription for food comes straight from the yamas and niyimas as articulated in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra.
The yoga diet is not about losing weight or being skinny. Instead, it is about getting aligned with nature and learning to eat in a way that connects you with yourself and the planet. On the yoga diet, you’ll eat living fresh foods and plenty of grounding healing foods. The idea behind the diet is to create balance and strength in the body and provide healing to the organs and the blood. It’s a physically energizing and an emotionally calming diet.
Note that any meals you don’t eat are not refundable. You are not encouraged to eat out, as you will be served special vegetarian meals during your stay. However, you can eat out if you wish to, but the amount paid for your meals during your stay is not refundable. If you have any special dietary requirements, please inform Siddhi Yoga International in advance, and they should be able to take care of it.

You will have Saturday afternoons and all day Sundays free for you to enjoy and bask in all that Ubud has to offer, usually at an additional cost. From markets to healthy cafes to journeys through the rice fields and local volcanoes, Ubud has so much beauty to explore. If you feel more like relaxing, enjoy the huge swimming pool, tea house, and lush surroundings of NaraSoma - have a massage, read by the pool or take a nap under the fragrant frangipani trees.
