  • Review by Andy from Singapore

"I highly recommend Siddha Yoga Peeth. I've recently completed 21 days there as a yoga beginner on the yoga and detox retreat. I now have a much better understanding of meditation, nutrition and yoga thanks to the teachers there. I left feeling mentally refreshed and physically much stronger and fitter having lost several kilograms of excess weight!"

"I loved several aspects of the place. Firstly the yoga teacher Vimal was a superstar. He really took me from (very very very) beginner stage and taught me how I could improve through daily practice. He tailored the classes so that the more able students could push themselves whilst not losing sight of the beginners like me. I've continued with self practice since I left and one day I hope I will be back to learn more! Thank you for everything you taught while I was there."

"The food was amazingly fresh and well prepared. Before going, I was worried that I would not be able to deal with 21 days of vegetarian food. I've not spent such a period of time without eating meat. Honestly I should not have worried at all as the food was delicious and always so fresh I didn't miss non-veg food. Thank you to everyone in the kitchen and cafe for providing nourishing food on a daily basis!"

"I really enjoyed the breathing flow and meditation classes too. Again, they were well paced so that I could understand the basics quickly and then start to include these ideas in my daily life. Thank you to Shailendra and Kamakshi for these classes and also with the great day trips to the Evening River Prayers, the Vashishtha caves and the yoga class by the Ganges. These trips were a real highlight so thank you for taking time to organize these, so we could see more of Rishikesh during our stay."

"If I had to summarize I would say that everyone at Siddha Yoga Peeth is geared up to give you the opportunity to learn and to explore how yoga, meditation and nutrition can improve your life and the body you live in. That is really their passion and their motivation. I hope one day to be back for more!"

"I chose the seven days Yoga Retreat at Siddha Yoga Peeth and it was the best decision I made. The retreat campus is very well located and all facilities were good. Right from the morning Yoga classes to Shailendra ji's meditation sessions: the retreat program was very relaxing and rejuvenating. A must visit! Will come back for sure!"

"I did a four-day yoga retreat at Siddha Yoga Peeth in January 2017. Even though it was short but it gave me a great introduction on how the retreat is like and at the end of it I wished I could stay longer. I definitely will come back for a longer retreat in near future. Watched the Ganga Aarti performance on the first night, massage and outdoor yoga by the Ganges river around Rishikesh. Daily yoga in the morning has allowed me to stretch myself further and I learned the different styles of yoga. Meditation and breathing sessions were conducted whilst I was there. The staff has really shown me all the things during my stay here. Last but not least the yummylicous vegetarian food during the retreat has been amazing and I couldn't really fault that at all. Overall great experience!"

"I had a truly wonderful time at Siddha Yoga Peeth. This was my first time in India and both Shailendra and Mishu made me feel so welcome and at home. The 7 day retreat was a perfect balance of great yoga from varied instructors, delicious varied food in a very relaxing and friendly setting and wonderful company from both other guests and the staff and was everything I could have hoped for from my first experience in India. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting a deeply relaxing retreat."

  • Review by Lyan Ki from Hong Kong

"I have enjoyed a seven-day yoga retreat at Siddha Yoga Peeth in end November. I loved Rishikesh and this place very much. The daily routine was just right with sufficient time for private practice (on the roof with a view) and for exploring the surrounding. The excursions to the mountains and the Ganges are not to be missed. I learned a lot from the yoga and meditation teachers who were attentive at all times. Can't wait to be back for more - a longer yoga retreat, or even a teacher training! :)"

"I think Siddha Yoga Peeth it is the only name you can go without hesitation. The teachers were excellent in such a way that through teaching methodology and their experiences and guidance you already get a very clear understanding of what really yoga is and gain self confidence before you finish the course. I highly recommend Siddha Yoga Peeth to anybody who is in search to deepen his/her yoga practices. Accommodation is very good too, very clean friendly owner and staff. Everything was organized very neatly according to the students needs. Thanks to the founder of the school Shailendra for establishing such a good quality school in Rishikesh."

  • Review by Kathrin Ernstberger from Germany
