The Indonesian 2017 sadhana retreat focuses on Superconscious meditation, which is the very core of the Shri Raam Institute and the essence of spiritual living. Superconscious Meditation is the means by which the soul learns to sing the ultimate song of life.
Participants will enjoy staying at the Mascot Hotel which is located on the beach, with its beautiful swimming pool facing the sea. The hotel is rich with coconut trees and different kind of flowers including orchids and jasmine. The staff are very pleasant and always ready to help you. It's a clean, peaceful, and relaxing place.
In this seven-day intensive retreat at the beautiful Lombok Yoga House on the island of Lombok near Bali, you will experience meditation in its ancient context as established and tested by the sages of the Himalayas. You will experience the depth and breadth of practices which form the essential foundation upon which a skillful, sustainable, and authentic meditation practice can be built. The context is known as Raja yoga, the royal path, and its practices are vast, systematic, and complete.
In the pursuit of spirituality, it is necessary from time to time to retreat from the routines and patterns of life. For the sadhaka on retreat, it is also extremely helpful to immerse in a natural setting, surrounded by uninfluenced creation, to enhance one’s sadhana. Indeed, there are practices that are only possible in such a setting. The island of Lombok and the Lombok Yoga House have been carefully chosen to support your spiritual experience!
Pandit lives a simple life of sadhana off the Pacific coast of Canada in the Salish Sea. Tejomaya has more than 20 years experience in intensive yoga practices including therapeutic asana and pranayama as well as the internal cleansing practices of hatha yoga. His research has been published in the International Association of Yoga Therapists. He was deeply trained in Christian meditation and contemplative practices during his years as Brother Timothy, a Dominican monk. He became a Pandit in the Himalayan Tradition of Yoga in 2012 and took the vows of a Vanaprastha (Forest Dweller) in 2017.
Bhola Shanker Dabral
Bhola Shanker Dabral was born into the study of yoga, philosophy, Sanskrit, and Ayurveda. Bhola Shanker was initiated into the Himalayan yoga tradition at an early age. He holds a master degree in yoga science from Haridwar, and is working on his PhD in yoga philosophy. He also holds a master's in business administration from United Kingdom.
This retreat will be held at Lombok Yoga House, a yoga studio and retreat center situated in Sengigih, Lombok Island, Indonesia. The center is located in a peaceful and serene village surrounded by a mountainous rain forest area. It’s a great place to practice yoga and to soothe your body and mind. It’s also a great place to have a peaceful walk in the near by village and forest. Classes are experienced naturally in an open air studio.
You will be served vegetarian meals along with morning and evening tea.
Please book your flight to arrive at Lombok International Airport (LOP). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Shri Raam Institute will pick you up from the airport.
