Different Than I Expected and Amazing!!

CONS Cons: I would have liked to trek through the hills more than the roads. We found out on the 2nd day that we had to reroute because the trail was effected by a landslide. We also missed a sunrise in Nagarkot, the 3rd scheduled day of trekking and yoga because of that change. The good thing from that was we did end up having an unexpected adventure in the jungle. Also, I didn't realize that the bus ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara was going to take 8 hours. If I knew earlier I may have lengthened my travel time, especially considering I ended up not feeling well and missed out on almost two days in Pokhara. Shree definitely came through, but at first I wasn't sure what to expect when I arrived, where I'd be staying, who the representative was what was getting me, what I'd do that first day, which was uncomfortable for me. But, Shree told me a representative would be there and there was each time!

PROS Pros: I loved Trekking through the hills, seeing the beautiful views, seeing how people live, the vibrant colors, and learning more about Nepal from Shree. I was also able to experience a deeper spiritual connection, more than just physical, during yoga thanks to Shree's guidance and adjustments. His sense of humor and kind heart made any challenging moments much lighter and easier. I felt the meditations were also very powerful. Tatwam led a candle light meditation that gave me a better understanding of quieting your mind. The yoga center is very peaceful and modest. It was so nice to just sit and enjoy being there in between meditations, yoga, and the detox mud bath. I also liked that Shree was very helpful in arranging transportation and people to meet me places, especially since it was my first time in Nepal.

"To those 2 human beings full of love who enrich our live, our soul, this earth. A lot of the things said and done are now waiting to be treated by my mind, but there is a long queue. It seems like nothing has changed but there has changed so much within me within these last weeks. i am so grateful that we met you, that we learned so much from you, that we received so much love from you. i will try to share all of this with my beloved ones, too. Hopefully, our paths will cross again, and we continue to share love and thoughts. you are always welcome in our homes in Germany! I embrace you, thank you,"

"We were with three girls and no one of us had experience with either yoga or meditation, but we're really curious and wanted to try this out. So we went to Shree for 3 days for the healing course. Because his house was being renovated, we stayed with a friended family and Didi (big sister) made us happy with great meals (mostly dal Bhat but they also made some other meals especially for us). The whole day was filled with yoga, all different kinds of mediation, mud baths and sometimes a break. Shree was a great teacher and told us a lot, also about the Buddhist culture and Hinduism, which I liked a lot. If you are afraid to be too stiff for yoga or can't keeo your attention for all the meditation, just go! You will be amazed with what you already can and Shree will lead the sessions on your own personal level. Price was low, really reasonable."

  • Review by Matthew P from Germany

"I am a complete beginner in terms of yoga and was quite worried about a 3 day yoga and meditation retreat. I can confidently say though that his was one of my most enjoyable experiences in 8 months of travel. The reason is because Shree and his brother Bipin are amazing people. Shree is a great teacher who is able to push you but knows your limits, he does not judge someone who get 20cm away from touching their toes haha. He has lived and study in an Ashram in India for over 10 years and has a lot of experience and knowledge. Bipin his brother is one of the nicest most genuine people I have ever met, not to mention he is a great cook! This experience would be 10/10 even without a serene environment with stunning views and a relaxing location. I would honestly rate this 11/10 if it was possible. Do not miss an opportunity to enjoy this amazing retreat!"

"I ended up staying here for 3 weeks and didn't want to leave by the end, it felt so much like home. Shreesh and his brother are very hospitable, knowledgeable yet down to earth people with a wealth of experience they are happy to share. In addition to the daily yoga/meditation program I did the one week detox program and felt a complete transformation within myself. At the outset I had my doubts as I had never done anything like this before, but I was so well guided and looked after throughout the process and by the end it was clear that these guys really know what they're doing. In 3 weeks I feel like I gained a year's worth of invaluable knowledge and experience here. Beautiful people, beautiful location, beautiful food, beautiful experience. I'll never forget it. Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
