Course Introduction

The Shree Hari 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course (TTC) is designed to lay the initial groundwork for an advanced study and practice of yoga. Over 25 days, you will be immersed in the ancient spiritual origins, philosophical teachings, and meditative traditions that make up the practice of yoga. With this traditional framework, you will combine the wisdom of yoga with modern alignment, sequencing, and various styles of practice.

This training is an opportunity for you to enjoy life while learning about the timeless tradition of yoga, cultivating greater health and happiness, and making new friends. What you will gain from this training

  • 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification: Upon graduation from this course, you will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher in the 200-hour category (RYT 200).

This 200-hour yoga teacher training curriculum combines modern teaching techniques with ancient wisdom. You will receive a comprehensive introduction to all aspects of yoga and the yogic lifestyle. Beginning with history and philosophy, you will build the foundation of understanding the concept, nature, and intention of yoga. By exploring the ancient texts and lessons of the early eras of yoga, you will gain knowledge that will make you an educated and proficient yoga instructor.

Shree Hari Yoga is now offering a 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga TTC in India. Vinyasa form involves great energy. Vinyasa style includes breath flow while changing postures. This form does not have similar poses, It requires deep practice. Vinyasa refers to “arranging in a special way”. This form is totally different from Hatha yoga.

200 hours of Vinyasa Yoga TTC allows you to focus on developing a personal practice while learning about the wider and deeper implications of this traditional form of yoga.

In this immersive 25-day yoga training experience you will be living in a peaceful community environment while developing friendships with your fellow trainees. You will engage in a regular daily routine that includes meditation, asana practice sessions, theory classes, practice teaching, self-study, and plenty of free time to enjoy the natural surroundings. Your tuition includes accommodations and meals. You will sleep in a clean, comfortable, and safe room and enjoy three fresh healthy vegetarian meals each day prepared by the kitchen staff.

Rishikesh is a city in India’s northern state of Uttarakhand, in the Himalayan foothills beside the Ganges River. The river is considered holy, and the city is renowned as a center for studying yoga and meditation. Temples and ashrams (centers for spiritual studies) line the eastern bank around Swarg Ashram, a traffic-free, alcohol-free and vegetarian enclave upstream from Rishikesh town. It’s a pilgrimage town with beautiful nature and a deep spiritual connection – what better place to immerse yourself deep into yogic studies.

Due to its location on the river and proximity to nature, Rishikesh has far more to it than its multitude of yoga offerings. Waterfalls, treks, and white water rafting await you here, not to mention plenty of delicious restaurants, cafes, and chill-out spots.

The school provides three healthy, energy-boosting vegetarian (vegan-friendly) meals per day, from Monday to Saturday. The kitchen staff prides themselves on their selection of local, fresh, and seasonally-appropriate ingredients. They aim to give you all the energy you need for this intensive time. Let them nourish your soul and fill your body with prana supporting meals!

Sunday is a holiday for staff and students and the school encourages you to try some of the delicious food on offer in the surrounding area.
